To all at TorqueSim and Cameron, Thank you for this amazing aircraft. By far the very best experience in any flight sim. Well done guys, absolute beauty!2 points

Hi Coop. Sorry, but this is in no way realistic. I took the plane up in a thunderstorm, under solid cumulus. No sun anywhere. I even flew a 360, with very little difference. Still had the low contrast poorly legible screens. Then, I put it on the runway at night. Still had gray backgrounds to the display, and it looked poor. I won't post any photos of the above, but I have been flying G1000 RW for years, and they don't look like that. Sure, at certain times, if the sun can get right on the screens, they are a bit harder to see well (occasionally very hard), but the Cirrus has a more pronounced roof than, say, a Diamond, and reasonable shading for the screens. They have super contrast now - better than the early versions. Most of the time, even in a very sunny environment, they are great. You can see this, without getting in a real plane. YouTube from Nico, and loads of others show pin sharp, high contrast screens with black backgrounds, even at high altitude, above the clouds with a load of sun. What owner would pay $3/4 million and upwards for poorly legible instruments? The FAA, CAA, EASA and all would never have passed what is pictured above as acceptable, and Garmin (and Avidyne, etc.) wouldn't have otherwise beaten the six-packs into submission I would prefer the displays in the sim to look great all the time, and accept the fact that it is a sim., and just forget that, on occasion, the sun can make the display a bit less than ideal....... I'd rather not be squinting at my monitor, and then just keep using the pop-ups anyway. You and others may disagree with me on the above. Fair enough I still think that this plane is sensational, and please don't you or Cameron think me rude!2 points

Cool stuff man. You guys really made your mark in XP11 for sure with this project.2 points

Thanks for the report! Regarding keychain, we are fixing that. Regarding knobs, vents, etc. animations; these will be added in 1.0.1, the fundamentals are in the system but it appears the integration didn't make it into 1.0.0, this will be addressed. Regarding sounds, we will be addressing these quirks. Regarding glass reflection persist, bug logged, I'll make sure it gets wired properly into the persistence system2 points

Hello A dynamic Xchecklist for the BN-2 Islander (XP11 version) / TorqueSim is available here: (to be used with the Xcheclist plugin by Sparker) https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/64857-checklist-clisttxt-for-the-bn-2-islander-by-torquesim/1 point

Love it! Do you want seat textures with a white background where the yellow is? Let me know if you need anything art wise. I am working on the paint kits and the interior packages. Several interior configurations not released with the plane due to file size. I love the Yellow!1 point

Look in the arm rest. The flow gauge is in there and has activation points. I fiddled with it so I must have turned it on and didn't realize it. I flew up to 21,000 last night and it went fine - so that has to be it. ;-) (Also if you didn't know and while you're in there - click the headset plugin spot, you'll get some noise cancellation!)1 point

Looks like there is some flowmeter I need to find for it to work correctly. Will try and see if it works.1 point
-
13" or 16" MBP? Inside the central console there is a flowmeter that needs to be set for the altitude you are flying at. It does take longer to return to normal, as it would in reality, with our simulation though, than the standard X-Plane speed.1 point

Not a problem. It seems that more people are trying out VR, and a lot of developers are giving it some real attention (IXEG, X-Crafts). I must say, other than the starting position your plane performs quite well in VR. I have a few picky issues - but nothing that prevents me from flying. Great work!1 point

Ok thanks for the quick reply. I've seen that it is running ok with it ON, I just wanted to know if it actually use it or not.1 point

It works great with EFM turned on. I believe they say on Discord that it should be on for this aircraft.1 point

Also in VR mode the display screens look like they have a thin layer of tracing paper over them (colors are washed out hard to read), minor point I know.1 point

Seems like all my CTD and engine problems goes away if I load default 172 first and then any version of SR22. I tested several time in a raw now1 point

All better in b16! Also just wanted to say you're doing a fantastic job responding to support requests @Coop1 point

I'm still airborn on the same flight, pressing CLR worked! I can't tell you exactly how or when that happend but I was just airborn when I noticed it so it must have happend when entering the flight plan...Since this happend twice already I'm sure I'll stumble across it again, I'll see if I can use ShadowPlay to screen record my next flights without too much of a performance hit.1 point

Hello Coop, that was a quick reply - thanks a lot! The respective .txt-file says "Release 1.1.1" indeed. So the update was sucessful! Greetings from Germany, Chris1 point

The door can be opened in flight, but it will only go out a few inches cause of the airspeed (based on what the airspeed is, it will get pressed pretty hard to the fuselage). We will be adding this in with the next update1 point

If it helps Coop, the spill for the ice light does toggle off with the landing lights.1 point

Hi Anthonye an Cameron, thanks for the suggest, yes it was the problem withe windows screen size, and what should I say - everything works fantastic. Thanks for your help. regards Mike1 point

Yes, I take the point with the Stationair and Carenado, but the G1000 operation is XP11's. Also, the high wing v. low wing point is true. However, again, same runway, same time, same weather: here's the Mooney I recently bought from you v. the SR22. Quite a difference, I'm sure you will agree. I love your comment on X-Plane being a little too smart. You would get more of an ear with Austin and Ben than I would, if you showed them this lighting problem. BTW, none of this detracts from a fantastic plane, which is well worth the money I have paid for it. This, and other minor criticisms from others, are just that - minor! Those of us who have invested in this thank Coop and you for all the work you are doing.1 point

Currently on an early morning flight from Riverside to San Diego - no issues thus far, and it sounds, feels, and handles so well! Not trying the TN until this gets sorted, but just wanted to say thanks for working on this, and the regular plane is wonderful!1 point

I had this issue with the Islander install, I haven't got the SR22 but it may be the same. I use a util to make the text bigger or small under Win10, it allowed you to set font size for icons and message box. I had set the message box to a to higher size and when that box came up it would only show the entry for email and was missing the serial no. box which you cant see or access. If this is the case reset your font sizes to default, you can set it back after the setup. You may be getting something different but its worth a try doing what I said. Anthony1 point

It seems to have any issue to start the engine, I've tried both cold star and hot start of course with "wear and failures" checked ON. I'm still speechless how it feels so realistic, I mean it! Hope you'll find a way to make it work! The manual is extremely complete, same for the checklist... 3 hours so far in the air, I'm amazed! Xplane 11.50 b161 point

Xplane has a cmd line flag to start up in simulated vr mode... Might help without needing actual hardware. (mines in a box, used very rarely)1 point

I'm happy to hear you've managed to get in the air. We'll definitely resolve the issues that cause roundabout situations like this.1 point

After multiple freezes and restarts I was able to load non turbo version. As I mentioned before turning "wear and failures" kills ability to start engines. If I turn it off I can start engine without problem1 point

I have also had problems in the past and, in my case, these are always related in some way to AI aircraft. Finally I ended up deactivating the native AI of Xplane. However, I recently bought Traffic Global to try and then the problems started again. CTD almost constant with the IXEG737 and the TBM900. I decided to make a clean installation and I have determined without a doubt (again in my case) that the problem is that Gizmo has problems with any type of AI plane. Deactivating Gizmo or deactivating anything related to AI, everything returns to normal. In my case obviously I prefer to fly the 737 and the TBM, so I have deactivated (sine die?) Traffic Global. I hope that one day this will be solved, it's a shame to lose the traffic (and the money ;-)) Sorry for my English, I know it's horrible.-1 points
