  1. Anyone that has worked with FMOD knows how tricky snapshots can be. Thankfully there are only so many ways you can go with a problem in FMOD, so tracking down bugs are not impossible they just need a bit of time & patience. https://streamable.com/agt2ur https://streamable.com/f020g0 https://streamable.com/3qdogq

  6. To Whom It May Concern, I just wanted to congratulate the team responsible to create BN-2-26 ISLANDER for X-Plane 11. This is my first product from Torque Sim and based on my experience you are a cut above the rest. Hope you continue to make available to the X-Plane community products of the same great quality. Looking forward to the the next update and the compatibility with GTN. Thanks JC55JC

  7. Wonderful creation. Thank you Torquesim and XAviation. First few laps and she is going to be a fun little twin to explore some remote locations and hop the islands.

  8. Thank you very much indeed, you have solved it - you were right with No1. As soon as I deleted xgs it worked as intended. It's not something I need so will not bother with it! Glad its sorted because I really like what the team has produced so looking forward to flying it now. It might be an idea to flag this up as an issue somewhere. I will let the other person on the Utube channel know that it has now been resolved for me. Again, thanks for the quick responses that have resolved it - very satisfied. Yorkshire

  9. Hi All, I just want to thank the devs for this amazing aircraft. I have read that some users have experienced fps issues but I guess im lucky. There are a few small issues relating to the fmod sounds (internal and external), headphones, electrical system (lights on center panel when power off), lighting (internal and external - although the exterior lights do illuminate clouds and the ground). But these are small issues. The great details about this aircraft have to be the modelling and handling. Both in the air and on the ground. Its an easy to fly plane but hard to master. Getting the speeds just right on take off, cruise and landing can be a challenge especially with decent weather. The texture work is top notch and the model is perfect. I used to live at an aerodrome that had a Defender 4000 variant so I think you guys nailed it! Hats off to the devs. Fantastic work and I am looking forward to the updates that will hopefully land soon.

  10. The switches return to be where you left them. If you want to disable this setting, you can change our settings.cfg file in TorqueSim BN-2 Islander/plugins/is_systems/settings. You can set "disablePersist" to 1.

  12. Just found another minor thing. When window open on pilot side sound doesn't change. Also , I'm not sure if it possible but if engines rpm nos sync it would be great to hear "waawwaaa" if you know what I mean

  14. Thank you @Coop that solved it. Now to chase down the annoying sound issue on my machine, but that is totally my system after updating the OS to Win 10.

  15. Also, will it ever be made possible to change the QNH on the altitude gauge from Inhg to HPA? As it’s a British plane I thought it would be in HPA. many thanks

  16. Think I found the issue - it seems sensitive to the time of day more than anything else (dusk or dawn makes this more likely to happen), combined with the type of terrain and weather conditions. I have a fix for the underlying issue ready to go for our next update. In the meantime, if you're encountering this, the best workaround would be to disable cloud shadows, or change the time of day. It's also more likely to happen with low "cloud draw area" settings, but that's not the case for you.

  17. Hi guys, As there are possible new features mentioned on the store page lets figure out what we would like to see Obviously, most of the stuff won't be introduced, but maybe the devs will at least know what the most popular wishes are. I will start with two things that might be "easier" to do and then a "super-duper wish", that is a lot of work, so it will probably never come 1. A button somewhere in the menu that will allow you to open all the doors. I like opening the doors for immersion after landing, but doing it now is lots and lots of work. 2. I saw it mentioned before, and it's getting more popular with good airplanes lately - some graphical indicators for icing on the airframe/propellers. 3. (S-D wish) A wear and tear system (Would greatly complement the active circuit breakers and the saved state).

  18. SimBrief lets you share custom airframes now, so here are airframes that match the IXEG model reasonably accurately. Empty weight and fuel tank capacity both come from the .acf file (fuel capacity adjusted slightly to match the popup fuel slider tied to the GRD CALL button on the overhead panel). The maximum ramp/taxi weight is also obtained from the .acf file, and the other weights (MZFW, MLW, MTOW) derived from a weight variant in the official Boeing "Airplane Characteristics for Airport Planning" document: https://www.boeing.com/commercial/airports/plan_manuals.page Given how the IXEG models the 737-300 with CFM56-3B1 ENGINES (20,000 LB SLST), that leaves three column to choose from in the 737-300 table (page 18 of document D6-58325-6). It should be noted that the IXEG has the following weights: 35,462lb fuel 72,380lb empty 139,374lb maximum (ramp?) The fuel capacity corresponds to the column with standard tanks (35,584lb usable fuel), the empty weight matches more closely with the column corresponding "AIRPLANE WITH 810 GAL (3,065 L) AUXILIARY FUEL TANK IN AFT CARGO COMPARTMENT " (72,540lb). When you pick the column for the aircraft without extra tanks, you get an MZFW of 105,000 and an MTOW of 124,000lb, giving a maximum payload of: 32,620lb or 141 SimBrief passengers at 230lb each with 19,500lb of takeoff fuel 17,620lb or 76 SimBrief passengers at 230lb each with 34,500lb of takeoff fuel Thus I also include a variant without additional fuel capacity but with the increased weight limits corresponding to that version (MZFW of 106,500 and MTOW of 135,000), for a maximum payload of: 34,120lb or 148 SimBrief passengers at 230lb each with 28,500lb of takeoff fuel 28,120lb or 122 SimBrief passengers at 230lb each with 34,500lb of takeoff fuel Since neither weight variant can accommodate 149 passengers (FAA exit limit) at 230lb, I set the passenger capacity to 134 seats ("typical" capacity for all-economy at 6-abreast). This is easily adjustable in either direction on your end. I also added an intermediate version with an MTOW of 130,000lb (middle column) just because I can. Note: please log in to SimBrief before following the links below. I also recommend opening one link at a time, as opening multiple links in quick succession before saving all airframes at the end may sometimes result in profiles accidentally overwriting each other. 25. When a beta version of X-Plane comes out, the Laminar guys are very persistent in getting updates out until it's stable. These updates usually come out on a weekly basis, and they normally go to a stable release candidate within 1-2 months of the first beta build release. It's currently up to Beta 4 (5 was released but quickly pulled due to some serous issues). Hopefully, it'll only be another few weeks before X-Plane goes to RC1 (Release Candidate 1).

  31. yes....and as far as how much, I couldn't say. The plan is, "do what we think you can do before 11.50 goes final....and start with the most desired stuff first". So after this engine work, I'm going after the front galley and main cabin door. I doubt there will be any more visual beyond that for the next release. After the release, we'll focus on new cabin 3D, rear galley, remaining doors and the FMS VNAV......and somewhere in there I'll look into wing flex. -tkyler

  32. I see I will do the next flight in that order. the first pic you asked has the same question in it. I meant with didnot take it that the height wasnot accepted but this question is not relevant anymore, now that the system works for decending and also climbing as well. thanks for the lessons.

  33. Looks good. Flies nicely too! Might be worth explaining (in the manual) the slave panel for the HSI, as you cannot assume that everyone who buys this plane will know much about it. It's rare to find planes made for XP11 that have this simulated.

  35. I am shooting for custom waypoints for this patch, PBD, PB/PB and Lat/Lon..., I have the code to parse the entries added, but haven't yet to ties these into the route editing / leg naming. The other issues, as mmerelles said, will come after the patch. I want to stress, that with the up-to-date workflow...patches and features are able to come much quicker than has been the case. So if we don't get some FMS feature in the next patch, we'll immediately continue working on the FMS and release featues as they are completed. -tkyler

  36. i understand that, but you can't get this thing to wing over even if you try let alone spin, not to mention it's really easy to handle in 20 kt crosswinds and turbulence which is well unrealistic, I personally do not love it (sorry), even the "wonderful" 4k textures are quite dull, simply put not what i expected and hopefully updates will help this thing out as there are no refunds. it wasn't cheap, anyway i'm sure you guys do great work and will fix this (all the bugs like sounds lights etc) but now i am weary of clicking purchase on the pocket rocket i wanted so badly. x aviation seems to only publish tail kissing 5 star reviews, its a shame

  37. you're right i'm wrong take my money because i don't know any better thanks i'm done with your site. don't know what you want me to say, didn't realize i needed to furnish proof of educational flight background to have a say in what aircraft preforms or not not to mention the fact of the obvious bugs that plague this craft haha! p.s. i said it was easy to land in a 20 kt crosswind, as if it wasn't effected by the wind because you know the flight model is insanely accurate and all.
