Captains, After six years of development the IXEG 737 Classic has been cleared to land! We're officially announcing Saturday, April 23, 2016 as the release date. Thanks to @froogle for also visiting the office to share his enthusiasm of the product and putting a mix on our traditional way of announcing releases! You're awesome, dude! There's been a lot of discussion over the last few years showcasing what to expect from this product, so we won't go too far into that, but I would like to provide a little bit more information for you... Release time: When we make announcements like this we make every attempt to get the product out close to midnight time the day of release. This means for some it may be Friday night if you are located in the USA. I cannot provide an exact time, but I would anticipate a release window between 12am-2am EST. Pricing: We will be announcing price (as we always do) once the product page is up and running. More details about the product as a whole will be there too. Liveries: There will be 20 liveries included upon release. They are: Air Berlin Air France Air Italy America West British Airways Condor Delta Retro Iberia IXEG Jet2 Linjeflyg Lufthansa Lufthansa Retro Norwegian SAS Southwest New Transaero United (tulip) US Air Varig We will be including a paint kit at release time. I want to caution people about attempting to make this thread about livery requests. Within a very short period of time I can promise you will see many free liveries out there on the various download libraries, so don't panic if you're initial request is not present in the above list! Manuals: The package will come with quite a bit of documentation, but we don't want this aircraft to be intimidating. Yes, it's definitely a study level simulation, but the included tutorials come in PDF and video form. While there's a lot to learn, we've made it as interactive and fun as possible for you. Reading big FCOMs can get rather boring to a lot of people, so we hope you enjoy this! We also recommend Mike Rays 737 handbook as a compliment to this product. His book is excellent and works quite nicely as a follow along guide for this product! Server load: I have noted a number of folks concerned about whether we can handle the initial demand. At X-Aviation, we have had some rather big releases in recent time and come to know what to expect pretty well with releases like this. The IXEG 737 release will be no different, and the installer will detect your location and balance the server loads appropriately. We anticipate a very smooth (and fast) experience for our customers. A lot of time is invested from our side to ensure you have a good experience with this! More than anything, and on behalf of @tkyler, @Litjan, @Morten, @Nils, @Ben Russell and myself, we want to say thank you for your continued interest, support, and motivation to keep going on this journey. It's been a long time coming, and our excitement is at an all-time high this week. None of this would be possible with you guys, our fans. Now, plan your routes, sit back, and light up those X-Plane skies with the 737 Classic this weekend! We know you guys will do us proud...you always do! Cheers! A few days ago, i was joking about them releasing it this Friday and @Litjan like that Post, so i thought to my self.. waaaait a minute... this might be true, why would he like this post otherwise.. But then i dismissed my thoughts. :-) Now see what we got. Guys i can´t even tell, how happy, exited, grateful and nervous i am. These are the moments in life when we have to realize, we are still Kids, waiting for Santa sometimes. In my case, the 737 classic, was the first airplane i ever flew with and immediatily have fallen in love with, when i was 13, it was a 737-300 and i flew to GCFV Fuerteventura. I will probably allways remeber the smell, the sounds, the pilots who let me in the cockpit before the taxi for like 10 minutes and explaigned a lot to me. Good old times.. I personally am waiting for about three and a half years now and I cant believe its finally happening. Even my girlfriend was screaming at me yesterday night ( not what you think ) when i saw the Video on my Iphone, because she is so happy for me. I was getting on her nerves for Months now. I Just wanna to say THANK YOU! Thank you Jan, Tom, Morten, Nils and Ben. You will bring joy to our lifes for many, many years now. :-)9 points

HerrSchwarz .............. You must have a clone of my fiancee !! Man she loved watching the smp clouds so much, when i used my slots she kept on at me to get another hehe And, she saw some details of this plane and said, you know what babe (babe, that's me hehe) if i were you that plane looks really good for you to buy (words to that effect) Yesterday after a hdd died then running to shop and getting a new one and finally sorting my rig she was so relieved my stress levels were lowered, this morning as we sat down and had a tea, i checked our emails etc, checked here and well ............ She said, Babe (me again lol) i'll get you it if you want One day you know, one day i'll have to set a date and marry her She loves eye-candy in games and fancy items maybe more than myself i think, she is blown away with with my clouds lol, she indulges me in everything i've ever done, as long as she has the tv/cable/bluray remotes she fine n dandy lol One drawback, we have two spare bedrooms and a loft, i have to have my pc setup in lounge, she says if i have a 'man-cave' she wouldn't see me hehe, small sacrifice for such a great woman No doubt she will be my manual-reader as i crash n burn in the plane Have Fun All Ohh, and as said, kudos on all involved in such a long undertaking, and staying the course, kudos Tony3 points

Take the first 24 hours to learn how to not crash and then join the all day Group Flight hosted by X-Plane Junkies on Sunday. We have a dedicated TeamSpeak so we can all help each other out and share great stories. Come fly all day or for a few legs. The whole schedule and details can be found here. Hope to see all you early adopters there! www.xplanejunkies.com/ixeg Capt. Rizzo2 points

Maybe another way to explain this is that it's possible to just have one too many add-ons. If you have a plugin conflict that's corrupted memory somewhere, *any* new plugin has the potential to cause a crash if it needs to access that corrupt memory. But the crash isn't the fault of that plugin. That's what your report seems like is happening. Similarly, if you're on the verge of running out of memory - one more plugin, *any* plugin, can push you over the edge and lead to a crash. But that's not a problem with the plugin that pushed you over the edge - the problem is that you were on the edge to begin with. So fundamentally, you have a bad plugin somewhere, or a plugin conflict, or maybe you're running out of memory. But because SkyMaxx Pro was the "straw that broke the camel's back" doesn't mean it is the root cause. Ben's point is that our massive install base means that if there were a defect of this magnitude in SkyMaxx Pro, we likely would have heard about it a long time ago. To isolate the root cause, you need to follow Ben's advice above. Let us know what you find and we'll continue to assist.2 points

I've followed this project since 2012, and it is my pleasure to wish the whole team my heartiest congratulations, on what has become a very fine product. I hold the belief that no other developper (Except Laminar of course!) has ever put so much passion and time into shaping the future of X-plane, and FS for that manner. As many have said, this will be a game changer for flight simulation as a whole. Congrats IXEG, Kells2 points

Would also recommend the excellent Mike Ray books at UTEM.com To know all about the 737, Chris Brady's Boeing 737 Technical Guide book is also awesome http://www.b737.org.uk/book.htm2 points

Just got the news. Awesome! Wow what a test of patience. Congrats to all the IEXG team. Can only imagine your sense of achievement.2 points

I agree that options are the way to go here. Scroll wheel support, while able to be done custom.....is now in 10.50 as noted above. It is our intention to get this integrated into a preference if possible....but of course we need to get past a few things in the early going. -tkyler2 points

Ooooohhhh! I will slowly undre... erm... unzip every bit of this beauty, carefully carry her over to the ... X-Plane folder, setting up every option JUST right and then finally... Start this beast up with engines running on a random runway, ignoring every singe checklist and procedure, even leave the landing lights off and just take her for a ride.2 points

I don't know if I should watch Game of Thrones or study 737C this weekend...1 point

If you would like to test using a default demo copy of X-Plane we can probably make some progress. The log provided above is jam packed with custom scenery and who knows what else. I'm happy to provide you with the trouble shooting steps required to break it down into smaller chunks... I don't expect to find a problem with our products though. So; to begin; re-test with a default demo copy of the sim. This is standard advice that you will receive from any payware author. Removing all your custom scenery will massively reduce the memory load, the VRAM load and the plugin system loads as well. You have OVER 1500 items in your custom scenery folder. There are probably over a hundred copies/variants of the ground plugin running. I'm happy to work with you on this but you have a lot more work to do to convince me that you've genuinely isolated a problem. A problem that absolutely nobody else is reporting. I have absolutely no doubt that you're seeing a problem. You wouldn't waste your own time reporting it. Default demo; minimal plugins; minimal products to reduce the number of possible interacting components to an absolute minimum. Then we can make some progress. (Updating SASL(and everything else) is an easy place to start.)1 point

Haha I am waiting 3 years now and the day where you guys are releasing it i am actually in an 737NG Full Flightsimulator1 point

there will be a folder within the 737 root folder called, "fmc_data". Inside this is a folder "SidStar" and "NavData". ...but the installer will probably take care of those files. I'm guessing "fmc_data" is the one you'll point to. -tkyler1 point

Try xOrganizer. It will reorder and will tell you if something has to be done. http://goo.gl/mwiiuI1 point

Just FYI, SMP 3.1's slightly increased VRAM demands exist in order to let us reduce the "stutters" that happened in 3.0 when new weather conditions were loaded. So by going back to 3.0, you're choosing to live with those stutters in exchange for getting a little more VRAM headroom back.1 point

As long as the front door position is correct in Plane-Maker, then yes. This is so basic even I can do it so I am sure IXEG have set it up! as a rule, it's hard not to have an airliner incompatible with autogate if the designer has any level of competency.1 point

Saw the email icon pop up on my phone a little while ago, thought to myself, "oh, it's probably just a Facebook notification." Nearly had a heart attack when I opened it up. Can't wait!1 point

Thank you IXEG. This will not be a game changer, but the level above that. reeeally looking forward to this. I guess you guys also are very excited that you are finally releasing this. The mass of wolfs are now for sure gonna find things that you dident discover under the beta testing. Even Jan's excellent expertice can't detect everything that the unskilled (talking mainly about me) sofa pilots will find and do. Doing procedures that never exist etc. Things that you think are correct, but are not. Mainly not flying the aircraft like it supposed to do. Anyway. It will be a great weekend. The plan now is to make routes, download airports and prepare for the release. Thanks again.1 point

This is a non-issue if you take the time to contact X-Aviation support and explain your requirements. Increasing the license limitation from three to four is simple.1 point

Are you experiencing those hiccups only with SMP? Because I had them regardless. In general in X-Plane. Like 2-3 sec pauses from time to time. The solution for me (found on YouTube) was to switch the GeForce driver to single-thread for X-Plane only in NVIDIA control settings.1 point

We just packaged up our release candidate 3 internally - so yes, soon!1 point

Agree. Disagree. They do a phenomenal job, and to this date nothing comes close to the detail they produce. It would be great to have them "here".1 point
-
This is not true, and we have never officially said such. I'm sure in time it will come (either from us, or someone eager), but definitely not at release.0 points

The manuals are a value of the product. These will be obtained only through purchase, but fair question!0 points
