yes....and as far as how much, I couldn't say. The plan is, "do what we think you can do before 11.50 goes final....and start with the most desired stuff first". So after this engine work, I'm going after the front galley and main cabin door. I doubt there will be any more visual beyond that for the next release. After the release, we'll focus on new cabin 3D, rear galley, remaining doors and the FMS VNAV......and somewhere in there I'll look into wing flex. -tkyler3 points

I personally have a headache from how loud these engine have been while developing the FMOD. A bug threw all my hard work out the window. I have isolated the issue, attacked it and am making improvements. The engine recording were some of the best I have had the pleasure of working with. Just be careful what you wish for....lol3 points

I think a better question would be hours or days We will get the patch out for the low hanging fruit and most critical issues ASAP.2 points

So we finally have something visual to show for the next update. With our 3D toolchain in place, we are able to make 3D updates reasonably quick... thoughit still takes time to add in the detail. This is a screenshot showing a typical mesh refinment before/after. Whereas when we started the 737 10 years ago, we had to be conscious of our polygon count, its not as bad as it was and X-Plane and modern hardware can suppport more detail. So as we move forward with our updates, we will be making these kinds of refinements around the airplane...moreso out of the cockpit than in, because the cockpit was done pretty darn well the first time IMO. We'll show more sneak peeks as we have stuff to show. -tkyler1 point

Is there an official paint kit (as advertised) or should I just use the white blank liveries? Cheers for great aircraft. Allan1 point

Hi guys, As there are possible new features mentioned on the store page lets figure out what we would like to see Obviously, most of the stuff won't be introduced, but maybe the devs will at least know what the most popular wishes are. I will start with two things that might be "easier" to do and then a "super-duper wish", that is a lot of work, so it will probably never come 1. A button somewhere in the menu that will allow you to open all the doors. I like opening the doors for immersion after landing, but doing it now is lots and lots of work. 2. I saw it mentioned before, and it's getting more popular with good airplanes lately - some graphical indicators for icing on the airframe/propellers. 3. (S-D wish) A wear and tear system (Would greatly complement the active circuit breakers and the saved state).1 point

Out of curiosity, what are your qualifications to be making these statements? They're rather bold. You have flat out tried to tell an aeronautical engineer that something is behaving unrealistic (and used a video as proof), but he tried to explain to you what was actually happening in the video and why that is NOT realistic to normal ops of the aircraft sans people moving around in it with a high AOA and ever-changing CG. Furthermore, numerous REAL WORLD Islander pilots were on the test team providing feedback and signing off on this before release. To me, this seems more of you not really knowing this aircrafts characteristics, but instead just guessing/assuming. I'm all for you having an opinion on aspects you personally don't enjoy (like sounds or textures), but if you're going to trash talk flight models at least back it up with something more valid than a parachuting video.1 point

Thanks for the report, we are working on rolling out a fix!1 point

Looks good. Flies nicely too! Might be worth explaining (in the manual) the slave panel for the HSI, as you cannot assume that everyone who buys this plane will know much about it. It's rare to find planes made for XP11 that have this simulated.1 point

They all do, you just have to find the click-spots by moving around with the inside camera and searching close to the door handles1 point

thank you for the quick response! it's fantastic to see a developer so engaged with the community. so much better than other unnamed companies *cough* carenado *cough*1 point

Sorry i do not understand what the pictures shows? what is the problem here? What you mean it did not take it? In the second picture the aircraft is refusing to descent because the MCP ALT was not configured to a lower altitude by the time the aircraft had to start descending. MCP ALT acts like a fence, for climbing and for descending. If you are flying FL300 and you want the aircraft to start descending at TOD, the MCP ALT must be configured to a lower altitude before reaching TOD or the FMC will alert RESET MCP ALT as on your picture and the aircraft will continue FL300 because it can not violate MCP ALT note: MCP ALT is a safety fence, so the aircraft does not move automatically no matter what VNAV has pre-configured. On real life an aircraft changing altitude up or down inadvertedly is a ticket to an accident due to traffic crossing above and/or below.1 point

Hello!!! I love this bird, and was waiting for it along! It's a beauty, slow and "all terrain lander". I's possible have an excellent view by all of windows, as in the true one. It's a "flyng Land Rover", rude but also elegant in English style. With a little better sound and a paint kit would be perfect. I send some pics from the "Inaugural" flight between Ben Gurion and Haifa Airports in Israel. THANKS THANKS THANKS THANKS for your Work!!!!! Have a nice we! Paolo from Florence, Italy1 point

Sorry about the delay, the new X-Aviation website was being launched with our release and had a few hiccups getting it going. But, the BN-2 Islander is now available! http://www.x-aviation.com/catalog/product_info.php/torquesim-islander-p-1771 point

I am shooting for custom waypoints for this patch, PBD, PB/PB and Lat/Lon..., I have the code to parse the entries added, but haven't yet to ties these into the route editing / leg naming. The other issues, as mmerelles said, will come after the patch. I want to stress, that with the up-to-date workflow...patches and features are able to come much quicker than has been the case. So if we don't get some FMS feature in the next patch, we'll immediately continue working on the FMS and release featues as they are completed. -tkyler1 point
