  1. Even did a screenshot when it happened the first time, but was too lazy to upload it back then
  2. Yeah, I can confirm that, the strips flicker every 5th flight or so for me.
  3. Hi, not many details, but I would guess that you have not assigned your throttle axis to "Throttle 5". Here are some additional tips if you haven't checked out the site already: http://togasim.com/mu2docs/setup/hardware_setup.html
  4. Dears, I've flown this great bird already a couple of times and everything was as expected. But this time it seems like I've flown from cold air into hot air and didn't notice that the temps went over the limit. Not sure if it's related, but then this happened: I was able to safely finish the flight and land, but the right engine was unstable till the end with fluctuating power. So, is this a cool feature of the plane or is it a bug? I don't really have any hardware axis other than the single one for power, so don't expect it to be any hardware noise.
  5. I'm not gonna lie, bought it mainly because of the big discount and the cozy retro curtains that I saw on the screens... Then I've spent 2 hours reading manuals, watching videos and playing around with custom control settings and saying very ugly words because it still didn't want to work like I wanted to, despite all of the effort... But now, after all of this is done, and I have finished some flights, I absolutely love it. So much character and small, immersive quirks. Plus the outside model is beautiful, and the inside one has surprisingly few artifacts in xp12 compared to other ported planes. Plus state saving, working BETA and possible future maintenance/failures. Amazing, simply amazing. Is a perfect match for my current radio navigation only FS Economy flights The only small things I've found is audible popping at the end of the gear operation audio loop and (I think?) missing passenger annunciators. How are they supposed to know when to sit down and stop smoking? But otherwise, great plane, thank you!
  6. Just wanted to say, wow! I'm normally mostly flying utility planes with tonnes of installed equipment, ready for all possible situations and uses. This has no use besides pure realistic flying fun and it's great! The physics, the sounds, the graphics, the small immersive touches, it's perfect. I wasn't sure about the model, because Youtube compression, that I used to watch reviews doesn't do it justice, but it's really high quality. Hard to believe that it's a new developer! Congratulations on a great plane. I hope it's not the last one
  7. Hi, thanks for all of the improvements Some small details I have noticed: 1. The carb temp indicator still teleports around a lot like before 2. The AP disconnect button no longer disconnect the AP but enables the Avitab (the normal planned Avitab Hotspot above and to the right also works)
  8. Don't know how much experience you have with plane add-ons but like 80-90% of good and popular planes out there are missing custom failures due to mistreatment, including some otherwise very realistic ones. That saying, flap over-speed damage is build in into X-plane and it works with all planes, just make sure it's enabled in the x-plane options because it disables itself each time x-plane is updated for some reason.
  9. Ok, thanks, looking forward to it.
  10. Hi guys, Since Air Hauler 2 came out I'm flying a lot of cargo and are pushing the weight allowance of various planes to the limits Yesterday I was flying the cargo Saab with a take off weight of around 26K lbs (from what I'm understating the MTOW is around 27K). And let's just say it was very hard. Take-off from 7K feet runway at sea level and around 20C OAT, flaps 7, weak headwind - almost didn't make it Then later cruise at 21K feet - despite going almost full throttle to the ITT limit the autopilot wasn't able to cruise without 4 degree nose up to not lose altitude. And during landing I almost smashed on the runway because there seemed to be not enough lift despite going 3 notch flaps and 120kt without much wind. I did try to search all the performance documentation, but to be honest I didn't get everything, from what I could decipher the performance impact of going 26K lbs should be noticeable but not like that. I'm assuming I might be doing something wrong Maybe it's the CG that I should change manually? I'm using the automatic one from xplane (well AH2 has loaded the plane, so I didn't touch anything), but the total weight within the weight and balance menu was inside the 27k limit and the CG was set to the standard setting. Any experiences from other heavy load flyers? Thanks!
  11. Yeah, I was also mentioning it somewhere, the overall tendency of the rise and fall seems similar like in other pistons, but the jump is strange
  12. Well I never had to set the heading bug to the runway direction in any of my G530 planes for it to work. Just fly the approach on GPS, wait for it to change to NAV or change it yourself, when it's centered on the localizer press APR to enable the vertical guidance. Works (almost) every time. At least if you aren't on some crazy position in relation to the glide slope already, otherwise the plane will most of the time give up. I also didn't notice a violent change from GPS to NAV.
  13. He talks about the autopilot-behavior where the GPS guidance automatically changes to NAV/ILS when the localizer is caught. It's a standard feature of most planes that use the G530 and it was also working for me lately in the BN-2 when I was flying it. It sometimes malfunctions if you play around with the approach waypoints and not just fly it as given. That saying, it also malfunctions due to many other reasons in all the planes that use this system. Sometimes the turn is to sharp and the plane cannot make it and resigns (happened to me in other planes and the BN-2) or the plane will give up trying to go down the G/S if you are not low enough - also seems to be happening in many planes. It's rare but it happens. That saying I don't remember if I just allow the autopilot to do its thing when it switches automatically or I press APR in addition to that
  14. Can somebody that knows how the Carb temperature and carb heater work take a look? I did kind of feel wrong when I was flying, but I have compared it now with the SF260. There the carb temperature actually drops with adding engine power (maybe because more air is moved by the propeller inside the engine?) but only up to a point after that the temperature starts rising with adding thrust. And it's actually the same for the BN-2, only that in the BN-2 the gauge does something crazy, when it comes to the moment that the temperature stops going down and should start to rise with adding thrust it suddenly jumps to the other side of the icing zone. Also, at least a small delay in the reaction to adding heat might look better. That saying, I have no idea how it works in reality, maybe that's what the BN-2 does
  15. That's fine, the normal lighting for some reason also steals like 10-20fps for me, so it shouldn't be that bad I just love atmospheric night lighting in my planes, so this is right up my alley.
  16. Guys, Take a look at this incoming mod: It's amazing
  17. Thanks, the plane is on the right way to become really great. And feels totally at home in the Scottish Highlands Perfect aircraft to discover all the remote corners of ORBX's UK.
  18. I did the mag test during start-up and RPM was dropping when turning them off one by one. Do you mean something else?
  19. Condition levers seem to work for me - I mean, no idea how this plane exactly reacts to them in reality, but both the EGT and the performance change for me like in other pistons. Have you leaned the mixture in other pistons before?
  20. Hi AlyMac, Check those improved sounds: The devs are trying to make the sounds better as we speak
  21. Did some more test flights 1. It seems those are not only the lights on the radio, the whole radio is fully functional without battery, plays ATIS with the battery off 2. Pitch trim and flaps state isn't saved between flights. 3. I've noticed a significant performance impact when turning on the cockpit lights. More than 25% less FPS with 4xSSA (50>35) and up to around 10-20% less with 2xSSA 1xFXAA. I've seen something similar in the Turbo Otter from VFlyteAir, but there the significant performance impact from cockpit lights was only visible with anti-aliasing on the highest settings in xp11, here it seems it's also a thing on lower/medium settings.
  22. Yeah, but I don't mean windows, either way, many developers were disabling the icing option of librain and leaving only rain, because it was causing issues. Normally some white icy layer on the boots would be enough, the problem with the Islander is that you cannot see the boots from the cockpit EDIT: Actually after some testing in flight I think some white on the boots might be enough, as it is enough for the pilot to lean forward to see the boots from the cockpit
  23. I have a 6GB GPU and the performance is great on Vulkan. So I guess even if they won't be able to perfectly optimize it on OpenGL you will "soon" get better performance when Vulkan goes live on the normal non-beta branch
  24. Hi guys, As there are possible new features mentioned on the store page lets figure out what we would like to see Obviously, most of the stuff won't be introduced, but maybe the devs will at least know what the most popular wishes are. I will start with two things that might be "easier" to do and then a "super-duper wish", that is a lot of work, so it will probably never come 1. A button somewhere in the menu that will allow you to open all the doors. I like opening the doors for immersion after landing, but doing it now is lots and lots of work. 2. I saw it mentioned before, and it's getting more popular with good airplanes lately - some graphical indicators for icing on the airframe/propellers. 3. (S-D wish) A wear and tear system (Would greatly complement the active circuit breakers and the saved state).
  25. They all do, you just have to find the click-spots by moving around with the inside camera and searching close to the door handles
