  1. I expect sales will be steady and more people become aware of just how good this aircraft is in XP12. The market for "glass cockpit" XP11 & 12 is pretty much saturated with offerings plus there are more than a few who enjoy an analog panel. This creation is well worth the price and the satisfaction is there of operating it well.

  2. It's quite intriguing to observe the range of opinions and interpretations surrounding the release and uptake of X-Plane versions. To set the record straight, X-Plane 12 has seen the most substantial sales of any X-Plane release that Laminar has ever put out. Although I'm unable to share specific numbers, it's essential to base opinions on factual data. Contrary to some perceptions, X-Plane 11 is largely considered by many in the industry as a platform that has seen its prime. The vast majority of the market has transitioned to X-Plane 12.

  3. Hi @tkyler, Thanks for adding the "show_settings_window" command so I can disable the mouse-over popup (yay for user choice!). It would be great if this command also let me close the window when it's open. Alternatively a new "toggle settings window" command would work too. TIA!

  4. He was using the latest. It actually said so in the GUI window that he is using 2.0.1.

  5. Really? That means they sold even more copies than of XP11 that was very popular? That sounds really like great news if that is true :-)

  6. That we mostly share, unsurprisingly. I can definitely appreciate that concern. A compromise would be to at least improve the animation of the levers to reflect the existence of the deploy/idle position and the interlock. I missed having that visual feedback in the 3D cockpit. Thanks.

  8. Been generating the UV maps for the various texture files, and trying the process out with a new livery - couple of very early WiP pics attached. It's an RAF aircraft, 267 "Pegasus" Squadron, FD857. The tricky part will be getting the camo pattern to line up across the joints, so lots of trial and error work! Main thing is I got it to work, with the .ini file and everything and the dds export works too! I Initially wanted to try out a livery for Alaska Airlines but ran into some difficulties.... :-)

  9. Same here for the Windows version. I downloaded the new installer, started it, after almost 40 minutes it claims that it cannot reach some URL and I had to start again (my previous install was now gone...). 3 times the same problem. Must be something with the installer or a file is missing in your repository. A lot of wasted time yesterday evening. Is this a known issue? I would wait now with installing it again until the problem is fixed. Can you let me know, please?

  10. The version which works is XPUIPC Version 2.0.4.7 64 bit. The latest one you can find is 2.0.5.9 but this version interferes with the throttle axis. You can download it in another thread on this forum or google it as several sites still offer the Zip file. For example see here: XPUIPC - VASystem where you can get both versions.

  11. They could apply different rules to aircraft than scenery. Not trying to make excuses here, I'm sure Jan/Tom will look into it.

  13. NOTE that the B733_mcp image file (png and dds) will be gone in the next patch. It was a hack of a system from 2010, before the DDS textures...and I've redone it to proper XP standards with modern lights. @maub Unsure how that may affect the text at night....be curious to know..even if that texture is going away. @Bulva replace the two DDS textures with theses PNGs and you should be fine. 14. Ok this one is fixed for next update. We had really tricked x-plane's lighting system way back when to simulate multiple light sources on a single surface...but with XP's real lighting...this is normal nowadays. The problem was the way we had our assets set up for export...so a small rearrangement was required (typical of remodels), but this should be good for the next patch. Its looking pretty good now, day and night. -tk

  18. I'm doing a de-rust on the IXEG Classic Plus, and I looked through the quick-start. It says to add weights in the GROUND SERVICES menu ... ...but mine looks like this: Is the tutorial outdated? Is my install b0rked? I also noticed that I have no Livery Manager executable anywhere... Windows 11, XP 12.07, IXEG 733CP 1.5

LIVERY PAINTERS INFO: Use this livery package as guidance on how to structure your paints. You can start from this package, and change the file and names where is needed. INSTALLATION: Extract the zip file and you'll get 2 folders; Aircraft and Output. Drop those folders in X-Plane's root directory, and make sure to merge folders. About the livery: That's All, Brother is a Douglas C-47 Skytrain aircraft (the military version of the civilian DC-3) that led the formation of 800 others from which approximately 13,000 U.S. paratroopers jumped on D-Day, June 6, 1944, the beginning of the liberation of France in the last two years of World War II. After the war it was returned to the United States and sold to civilian owners, eventually falling victim to neglect until it was found in an Oshkosh, Wisconsin, boneyard in 2015, facing imminent disassembly to be converted into a modern turbine aircraft. It has since been restored and is part of the Commemorative Air Force. (source: Wikipedia)

  20. Hi, how is this possible?

  21. if cut/paste is the way you and Osamah you see it...then I think you guys may need some glasses...or better ones (see screenshot....if you can ) Seriously..just some good natured ribbing. What's really going on here is, "ok, yes you clearly did a LOT of work on that cabin Tom, but I don't care about the cabin at all..so it might as well be the same thing..what about the stuff I want?...holds, a virtual FBO...animated passengers". .....and that perspective @Splash is OK with me. I get it, I really do. We know what will get said before it gets said. ..this isn't our first rodeo. Osamah isn't telling us anything we don't know...he's basically telling us he wished there was something new, but we were quite clear this "port" wouldn't have much new that you could see. Oh there's a ton of new stuff for sure...but its under the hood where you can't see it and indeed you guys may not see the benfits of that for a time yet. But there are a lot of customers who can and do still enjoy it while we improve it. ..and that's why we do this. But therein lies our path, to leverage this work we know is important and start working towards those things we know you want. Things we knew you'd want long before Osamah or flightdeck2sim said it. Jan said it well...we hope you join in when you finally do see what you like. Tom

  22. Funny thing other 737 pilot didnt draw all the same conclusions, as for q8 pilot, he didnt bother to read anything if he had, he would have given better review knowing where it was at. I like his videos but he is consistent in his lack of research.

  23. You (and Q8 Pilot) are absolutely entitled to your opinion. If you decide at a later stage that the (full) price for the XP12 variant is warranted, I am looking forward to seeing you as a customer. If you do not, I wish you always happy landings with a competing product, there certainly are a lot of great ones out there! All the best, Jan
