The implementation of camera shake in IXEG 737 is glorious! Wishful thinking I know, but it'd be great if it could be implemented in the SAAB! Tbh, the IXEG 737 is the *only* jet/tube that has managed to lure me away from my beloved turboprops (SAAB, MU-2), small piston GA (REP Carenado C210) and bush planes (Pete's Beaver & the Carenado 185). Yes I have the FF767 but flying her is a bit like going on a date with a pretty girl .. but missing some indefinable quality ... with the IXEG 737 I'm re-experiencing my MU-2 moment .. my LES SAAB 340A moment. True love <sighs>. So, I give thanks to the X-Plane team for providing the environment, Cameron and the X-Aviation team for being the hub of the majority of my must have planes over the years, Ben for Gizmo; it's so freaking awesome, and last but not least the IXEG team (& I know that means some of you get thanked twice lol). P.S. Trying to put my finger on that elusive quality that turns a sim hobby into something living ... and it's soul. The subjects of my gratitude above are imbued with soul. It's there. In spades.5 points

@jolmos those two numbers are the lowest (the # below) and highest (the # above) terrain elevations in hundred of ft amsl 006 means the lowest elevation on the covered area is 600 ft 090 means the highest altitude on the covered area is 9000 ft I can not see your present altitude on your screen capture but it seems to be high enough that the highest elevation on the area 9000 ft (090) does not represent any risk at all relative to your aircraft altitud, otherwise it will be shown colored on the display green, yellow, red, etc to warn you.3 points

Rule of thumb is TAS/10+7, so ~25° at 180kts. I tried that (180 IAS at 3000'), it took 2:15.2 points

I've only recently got X-Plane 10, and the IXEG was one of the key reasons for getting X-Plane. I've not really flown flight simulators for about 10 years now, but I'm loving flying the IXEG model. I'm in the process of starting off a YouTube channel "Reflected Reality Simulations" with the intention of showing sim flying using some real-ish procedures, but with the focus on enjoying the sim rather than detail-perfect operations. My first video featuring the IXEG 737 is on YouTube now, and there's another short video called "Channel Introduction" where I try and explain the reason for another YouTube sim channel. I'd love to hear your feedback, especially any procedures you'd like to see in a similar style.1 point

Jan told in another topic (you are not alone in this case) that they programmed the route to be 1000NM, it would take a very lazy controler to let you fly it in it's full length (and maybe a tanker plane with a device to allow for in flight refuelling ;-). )1 point

Probably a bit tricky to set it up (python plugin needed), but it might be what you want: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/15665-cycle-views/&tab=comments I never used it...so don't blame me if it doesn't work out You need an account at the .org forums to download the files. Pilot error , but very understandable. A "derate" is not a "reduced takeoff thrust". Thanks for the report, though - keep ´em coming! Cheers, Jan1 point

We used to have a problem with the fuel resetting to 0 - which in turn would starve your engines... this SHOULD be fixed with 1.0.5... but let´s keep an eye open for that! Jan1 point

Bear in mind that if you download and activate the product there are no refunds. If you activate it and find that it runs very badly; no refunds.1 point

I'm just loving opening my brand new Windows 10 machine to a freshly force rebooted desktop every morning. All my apps closed. All my work context gone. I LOVE IT. So productive. It feels just like 1994 again.1 point

Haven't seen one of those in a looong time. Thanks Tom. Adding it to the list.1 point

Gary Hunter (The Developer of the old Concorde) was working on the Concorde the last time i mailed with him. He is working on a updated Version wich should fill in todays Payware Standarts.1 point

He never applies full throttle, he is applying 85% thrust for takeoff as per his fmc takeoff configuration for auto throttles. If you are planning to apply manual throttles, advance them forward not to exceed 91% N1 and you will not hear the engines screaming to hell because you are reaching speed of sound on the blade tips.1 point

Not sure why this happend, but think there is a small bug in Gizmo @Ben Russell Version 1.0.5 just updated.. G64: 441.502: Trigger: ScriptedReboot.. In case you are using Windows, exclude the X-Plane path from Windows-Defender.1 point

To tell you the truth - I have no idea how long they are displayed. I have never seen "the end" - yet they can´t wrap around the world, or you would see them come in from the other side. I think we made them like 1000NM or so - that should suffice for even the laziest air traffic controllers. Jan1 point

Oh no, there are quite a few excuses in the repertoire of an airline pilot. Birds, CB´s, bad LNAV coding...1 point

Unfortunately, the B is not in our immediate or near future. For the time being, everything is dedicated to the C23 upgrade, Saab 340A update and Citation. Once those plates are cleared, then we'll look further ahead.1 point

Hi and thanks for the report! the conditional waypoints are a very hard challenge for the FMS. We will check this one out and see where things went wrong...but hey, in the end you would end up at RWY 04, right? Cheers, Jan1 point

I also agree with you both; however, we are in a bit of a unique spot. Established companies like PMDG and such, having a reputation and sizable user base to interact with, already had a basis for a good beta program based on previous products and customer base. Being this is our first product, and not having any type of "team" or customers we had relationships with made it a bit more difficult to get participants on the scale needed for proper QA work IMO. I could pick about 30 people from these forums now that would make superb beta testers for a next product, etc. Also, we are using some new tech that is a bit different...and on the one hand, allows us to further the state of the art is some areas because it allows us to do more faster...but when you do more, you also have more areas you can trip up, which also means even more areas to test, etc. Finally, as Nils mentioned, we are seeing issues that are not ubiquitous...and so our internal team is still only a few people and none of us may see an issue and only when it gets out on a larger scale do these come to light. We are strategizing ways to deal with it though.....without a doubt the ONLY way to battle-test any fix is by volume testing....and volume testing requires some adminsitration and willing participants. I have no doubt we have enough willing participants now....all you guys are great, its more a matter of administration and implementation on our part. We are still getting our legs as a study level simulation 'company' and we really do appreciate your patience and support. I think the hotfixes will slow down a bit as things have settled down a bit....and we begin to work in earnest on the 1.1 release and indeed, be a bit more comprehensive in our testing. -tkyler1 point

Hi, we've see the drag direction "reversal" a few times and it's on our long term list of stuff to look into. Thanks! Re the EHSI range, the knob is manipulated by dragging horizontally across your view, regardless of the relative angle to the EFIS panel. X-plane has "manipulators" types that check for movement along a specified axis in 3D space but we have found those to be less reliable than the screen space-type draggers that we have adopted for the 737.1 point
