SNEAK PEAK EPOCH SIM- "Ultimate Survival Alaska" Episode 10 -- Extraction To be released on Monday. If you choose to land on the Peak of Observation Point, It CAN be done, but I highly reconmend using a turbine engine that has reverse thrust, that;s the ONLY way I would do it, other than Helicopter. I also recommend landing from the West because of the longer uphill slope that is not as steep. Also, don't linger around too long or you will find your way down the hard way!. The weather is not cooperative and the icy ridge is very icy!.3 points

Watermark fix worked just as good as the main installer ... smooth as silk. Thanks for the quick fix! You saved me from an embarrassing rant post considering the patch was already waiting for me in my email.2 points

oh, ok, I will trust it then. Also, I claim first post on the 340A support forum unintentional, though.2 points

Download and install was fast and efficient. I put it on the ramp and let auto-start demonstrate the sequence. Everything is perfect so far on a Mac Pro. Thanks for all the hard work. This one is a cut above the rest!2 points

I try and stay out of it, but that about sums it up...........2 points

Hi, All, Here's a quick livery lineup shot of all the liveries included at no additional charge with the Saab 340A! We have also included this shot in our gallery images, but I figured posting here doesn't hurt either. Enjoy!1 point

Leading Edge Simulations and X-Aviation are happy to announce the release of the long awaited Saab 340A for X-Plane 10! This aircraft features a study level simulation based on the real aircraft, custom programmed from the ground up! You can grab yours today at the Saab 340A product page on X-Aviation! The Saab 340A is entirely simulated based on the real world manuals. All of the systems are entirely custom programmed, including the autopilot, CRT displays (EHSI and EADI), powerplant, hydraulics and more! Our entire simulation has been certified as true-to-life by a test group of five real world Saab 340 pilots. They were amazed at our accurate simulation, and you will be too!1 point

Those radios don't allow me to program keys apparently. Could use some advice. Mouse really doesn't work well for them.1 point

Today, some people have posted about the Saab (not me. I'm done with that.) in the shoutbox and the screenshot forum. I wonder how long these posts will last. By the way, .org customers today got a newsletter, incl. special deals on the Q400, the ATR 72-500, and the Jetstream 32. Strange coincidence.1 point

When will it be released? We are waiting for soooo long!! (Just kidding ).1 point

I am almost certain that the global shadows are causing your issues. Please try overlay or 3D aircraft shadows. As usual, HDR is a killer on most systems for the moment too. I alternate between it, but just play with these settings (I personally think HDR is too contrasty in the day anyhow).1 point

Not part of the Saab team, but certainly deal with these two issues as a custom developer. These are somewhat "sore spots" for a developer for a few reasons. 1.) Custom sounds can't be "sped up" or "slowed" down in x-plane so in a replay situation, if a user selects anything other than normal forward speed, the sound will be off. In addition, replay mode is what Laminar calls a "limited mode" and several sources of data that are depended upon to program in additional accuracy aren't available in replay mode. Basically my personal opinion is that replay mode was/is cool....but was designed as a 'compliment' to the default aircraft and getting it to work consistently for highly customized aircraft is a decent sized problem in and of itself. One CAN program to allow for replay mode to a limited extent though the problem there is its a whole other programming paradigm that has to be added to the developer workload for little return. As a developer, you approach "replay mode programming" after the fact and add in "what you can"....its hit and miss to see what you can make work. My personal opinion for developers....at least at this stage of the x-plane game is to get these products on the market, get revenue going to better self-sustain and with the "funded time" then take closer looks at these replay and "mid-start" situations. Laminar's architecture works great with its simplified default aircraft, but these highly customized ones present new challenges that teams have to take looks at for the first time and generally end up trying to"reverse engineering" x-plane or engaging in conversations with Laminar. I'm sure the Saab team will put these on the list to "look at". TomK1 point

Thanks for the comments. A lot of programming went into all of that. We also upped the deployment system with ultra fast servers around the world to serve the files from the closest one to you. We've tested this extensively for weeks now and haven't heard of that one, but we'll keep an eye out. May well be an issue on your end.1 point

Hey here is something else Id like to point out in regards to SMP. This shot shows how large the clouds will be at a distance. Have you ever seen towering cloud formations in real life? This is a few cumulus layer and I set the maximum cloud size pretty high......It makes for a dramatic and realistic environment.......Again this is a good benefit of procedurally drawn clouds....1 point

Yes - All of our State series covers each state, border to border. In some cases, such as Oregon and Washington, there is significant overlap to the neighboring state if the imagery allows us to do so.1 point
