Hello, Captains!, Today we're pleased to show you the official Saab 340A promo video! The video highlights a number of features on this aircraft, and also brings to light the fact we are using a brand new 3D sound engine called soundXtreme! This was developed in-house by X-Scenery to squash issues we felt were present in existing sound solutions. We will provide more info about the sounds on this aircraft in a bit, but to put it simple: the sounds on this aircraft are amazing. We felt this was a big part of the experience in order to make it real, and we went to great lengths to get every possible sound on the real Saab 340A to make this happen! This includes everything from all cockpit warnings, pump sounds, and exterior/interior sounds. Again, more on this part of the aircraft soon! Also present in the video is a number of unannounced liveries. This is still only some of the liveries we have in store for you, and we'll be sure to show all of those off soon too! The video has been produced by our talented friend Dave Robertson (aka redpiper1). Enjoy! Highly suggest you select at least 720p!8 points

Hi, Captains!, Today we're here to show you a third variant included with the Saab package at no extra charge! As a reminder, we've already announced in the past the passenger and cargo variants, and today we are announcing the Airborne Early Warning (AEW) variant! There's not a whole lot to say on this one other than it's a fun addition that caters to a few people not interested in passenger or cargo flights! Enjoy!3 points

A few screen captures of my flights from KLFT-KNEW-KLFT that I stream on Twitch TV. Planes used MU-2B to KNEW and JS32 to KLFT. PS: I am going to add the Saab to this fine collection.2 points

Hello , Looks Great - Just purchased XPlane 10 as I have a new pc that can cope and would like to get back in to painting. Will there be a paintkit available or do you require someone to create some liveries? Attached pics of some of my work: http://www.peugeot206profileart.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/airbusa319.htm Cheers Allan1 point

11.5 meg for the page load is well beyond a joke. Sheer laziness.1 point

I would think releasing a boxed version would delay the release significantly and eat into their profits.. unless you/we are willing to pay more for a boxed version. I'd prefer to come to this forum and see their announcement of "SAAB 340A CLICK HERE BUY IT NOW OMG," click that link, and be flying the plane 15 minutes later.1 point

If you've got the hard drive space I recommend installing all the scenery files. It gets messy having to install small portions of the world from time to time.1 point

No currently we have no plans for strobes to interact with the cloud puffs. Additionally during testing the default weather engine will cause the clouds to disappear, we developed a transition to help with that problem, which only happens with real world weather selected. But to combat this problem there is another free plugin out there: http://x-plane.joanpc.com/plugins/xpgfs-noaa-weather In testing SkyMAXX with this plugin I havent seen the abrupt transitions typical to the default weather engine.......1 point

Thanks for the compliments, Dave. Indeed, as Goran has stated no FMS, as the 'A' is not equipped with one in real life. We do have ideas for a path to the 'B' variant, but nothing firm just yet. I've said it before, and I'll say it here again...don't let this fool you. The aircraft is still VERY complex in systems programming. The Autopilot, electric bus systems, hydraulics, displays, engine control, etc...it's all custom per spec of the real world AOM for the aircraft. It's nothing like a default X-Plane aircraft. As much as we've shown off pics, I'm 100% sure people will be shocked at how insane this product is the moment they load it up on their machines. It's that good.1 point

I love linux....used it for a long time, but never, EVER, blamed anybody for not supporting it. I knew the risks when I used it and that was on me and your usage is on you. Trying to act like its someone else's fault is really in poor taste. You drive down that road, you take the curves that comes with it! TomK1 point

Well, if he's better then you got NOTHING to worry about! Why would you ever want anything subpar? Sounds to me like you're covered, and there's nothing to worry about. It is this mentality that you have just shown that helps seal the deal and makes us feel comfortable with our decision. Enjoy your X-Plane flights!1 point
