  1. Hi guy's, We know that many of you are experiencing different autopilot issues. At this time it appears to be a conflict with a plugin called FSUIPC that many of you use. The temporary quick fix is to open the sim and aircraft; - Disable the FSUIPC (or XPUIPC) in the PLUGIN menu - REBOOT Gizmo (either in the plugin menu or with the little lightning button in the popupbar on the right screen edge) So no need to unistall anything if you don't want to We are in contact with FSUIPC and hope to get this fixed either by us or them as soon as possible! 3. So I bought the 737 this morning, and I've been playing around with it quite a bit, I love the cockpit and the aircraft is an absolute joy to fly. I nailed my first landing in this bird and the sense of pride and accomplishment I felt with that cannot be described. We all know this project has been a long time coming and that you guys have put blood, sweat and tears into making this plane. I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you, the plane is amazing. I've been waiting for a long time for a decent 737 in X-Plane so that I could ditch FSX, after flying this aircraft I'll never look back. I hope all you guys have a well deserved break and a couple of cold beers you deserve it!

  4. Just received the email from Cameron and replied back with my thoughts. After seeing this post I thought it might be a good idea to share it here... Hello Cameron, I know your inbox is flooded with emails at this point in time and also that each mail you read takes some amount of time out of your super busy days. But still I thought I would share some of my thoughts. So here goes... First of all congratulations on release of this amazing bird. I am sure it defines a new era in the history of X-Plane (best plane so far in terms of realistic flight dynamics and complexity) and Flight Simulation (best plane so far in terms of realistic flight dynamics). No I have not yet flown the plane so far as I am out of station and I have only the macbook with me which has limited resources. But I am going through the tutorials and Jan's excellent videos. But from the videos I know what the plane is and what its potentials are. All the complex planes released so far had FCOMs bundled with them. They were really more painful and less enjoyable to me. So I really appreciate the effort made by Jan, the real B733 captain, in making us teach the basics like a flight instructor. I also highly appreciate the fact that you encourage us to fly the plane like real pilots and have gone a step further in getting us a very good book at a discounted price. We had put you all under a lot of pressure to release the plane early. So if there are some bugs in the first release it is perfectly understandable. I know you guys have tried your level best to get in as many features as possible in the last moment. But that was solely with the interest of giving us a more enjoyable experience and we totally understand that. We know that most of the issues would be sorted out in your next update. So, I would request the IXEG team to not loose heart. Remember a lot of buyers have come from MSFS and P3D (good for us) who probably expected the same kind of finish/completeness as PMDG. But we understand that you are a four/five man team working without any income (so far) with additional responsibilities of your primary job just because of you passion for flight simming. If we take the example of Jan, leave alone testing for this aircraft, he has contributed immensely in making sceneries for x-plane along with so many great tutorial videos. So please please remain motivated and continue working on this plane. We have seen your passion for flight simming and we know that you will transform the already best plane into a totally bug free, frame rate friendly plane in no time. So thanks a lot once again and keep up the great work. Cheers Cameron, Please share my email with all the IXEG team members. Thanks and wishing you good luck, Sanjiv

  6. Hi, This is not a complaint. I just the need to open up to somebody. I have given up on Windows. Being programmer I found that Linux is so much better suited to that than Windows. Plus having basically a huge spyware on my computer is not exactly tempting. I have been flightsimmer since Microsoft Flight Simulator 5.1 and I was a bit sad to let all that simming go until I realised that X-Plane works on Linux. I was however missing all the very high quality add ons available for Microsoft Flight Simulator such as PMDG. When I heard about IGEX I got excited. Finally a nice high quality plane for X-Plane...until I learnt that this brilliant add on is not going to work on Linux. Now I am basically considering installing Windows next to my Linux just so I can use this add on. Only thing what keeps me doing it is the fact it's such an hassle to do it this way. Linux first and Windows last. But the temptation I think is too great. First world problems.

  8. Thank you IXEG! You have helped me realize a long time dream of simulating my favorite aircraft! For those who don't know, I have a full size replica 737-300 in my basement using all real 737-300 parts except the MCP. I have been flying the 732 until know. Now the 733 takes over! Last night I tried to 'translate' my view just outside the cockpit as i did before in the 732. I do this since i'm in a cockpit already and don't want the pillars in my screen view. Well as i'm moving towards the windscreen, BAM! It stops, just like if you tried to stick your head out a closed window! LOL You can't translate or move your viewpoint outside thru the glass and framework of the 733, how realistic and cool. Although I will need to find a way I thought it was a neat little feature. Looking forward to many many flights in this amazing plane! Rob

  9. Also from me a big thank you to the whole team too...... I can highly recommend to follow the included tutorials made by Jan. They showing me the right approach to fly this lovely bird. Very different unlike usual, not sitting in the chair and let the "automat" flight an ILS-approach. It is not only a lot of fun, it is teaching me. Worth every cent. And for shure, they will continue their grate work.

  10. I also want to thank the whole team! Not only for the plane (which is amazing), but also for working hard and being open to all the bug reports! I'm sure the release didn't go 100% as expected/hoped (for the team and for the users), but you guys deal with it professionally and you didn't seem to have lost your humor, which is nice! Keep up the great work, and I'm sure we will have a perfectly running plane in a short period of time.

  17. Hello First, thanks for this beautiful aircraft. Its awesome and will be even more awesome after you guys have patched the most critical bugs. I wonder about one thing. Everytime I start x-plane and select this aircraft, the default fuel is about 7 tonns. Is it possible to change that ? For most of my flights I use less then 7 tonns. So instead of fueling I have to tap the plane for fuel.

  21. Back pressure is always needed as you will need to acquire the right pitch and hold it. As airspeed drops, a bit more pressure will be needed to maintain your pitch angle until the plane stops flying and you touch down. Ideally at or below 100fpm giving you a nice touchdown. Practice practice practice.

  22. The stickers are on B733_glass_decals.png and B733_decals.png Copy them from the aircraft's root objects folder to your livery folder, and edit as you like. The window thing is probably that this one is mapped over the wrong window "hole" on the UV. My advice? Turn on the UV layer, and create a new layer and paint a colored dot on each window hole on the left side, and you'll find which one it is. After that, just cut your logo right on that window, and luckly it'll be blue. The engine nacelle is a little error on the texture. The paint-able part is missing one tiny bit that is near the metallic intake. You can find it on the texture's right bottom.

  26. that florescent lamp underneath the mcp gets me every time, i think it even flickers on slightly differently every time you turn it on and off. it's the little details. and the engine sounds are the best i've ever heard in a sim.

  39. I have updated the list in post no. 1 of this thread to todays status. While mostly removing things, I had to add that the PROGRESS page didn´t quite make it into 1.0. I also considered adding: a totally bug-free experience with no soft-crashes as something that will NOT be in 1.0. While we worked hard to find as many faults as possible, we are fully prepared to receive a flurry of reports (both real and due to lack of understanding) over the next few days. We will be hear to listen, help, catalogue and fix them - and it is our goal to get an update to fix any critical problems to you VERY swiftly. Happy landings, everyone, Jan

  40. People are just angry because they want it right away. A good example of getting something right away would be the rotate md-80. That plane had soooo many bugs on release and they just released a HUGE patch to fix a bunch of bugs. I think people should on that plane when they get antsy about this plane not being released yet. For me, another year would be too long lol, plus it wouldn't make sense from the updates we have been seeing. Oh yea for sure! These nice to haves are wonderful to think about, and to be honest, whenever i look at the features not available in V1.0, it's very small! Most of it is just super minor details that don't ruin the product at all. In fact, IXEG has way more features and in depth systems than any current X-Plane 10 airliner has.
