Hi, Folks!, Rolling on with the news that we have reached release week, here are some more shots showing off the interior of the aircraft!... A quick shot showing off some of the normal mapping, remove before flight flags, chocks, and 3D props. The chocks and flags can be removed through a menu system we will be showing you soon! Also note the cabin interior through the window. Some cockpit shots! This is just after startup, and the CRT screens are just heating up enough to turn on. The system is going through alignment as the system powers up. In general, CRT screens take some time to warm up before you even see anything fade in on the screen, and we have modeled this as well! Below you'll note the AHRS system has aligned and the CRTs are now displaying proper navigational data. The process takes some time for the system to calibrate, just like in real life! Just showing off some close up switches. This panel contains your throttle quadrant, radios, and some very important autopilot functionality. More panel shots... Cabin at night. The cabin features a functional cabin lighting panel just in front of the flight attendant jumpseat. Window shades adjust, overhead and side panel cabin lighting is functional, flight attendant call buttons work, and even the seat reading lights illuminate the seats below them when turned on! Showing off the night lit panel. Note the CRT screens casting off light!10 points

Here's a series of 3 tutorials on how to fly the PORTE5 (KSFO), CHANL1 (KSNA) and PEBLE4 (KSAN) SIDs using the JRollon CRJ-200 using VOR's for the first portion and the FMS for the rest of the point to point navigation: PORTE5 - CHANL1 - PEBLE4 (hand flown) -3 points

Thanks for the compliments, Dave. Indeed, as Goran has stated no FMS, as the 'A' is not equipped with one in real life. We do have ideas for a path to the 'B' variant, but nothing firm just yet. I've said it before, and I'll say it here again...don't let this fool you. The aircraft is still VERY complex in systems programming. The Autopilot, electric bus systems, hydraulics, displays, engine control, etc...it's all custom per spec of the real world AOM for the aircraft. It's nothing like a default X-Plane aircraft. As much as we've shown off pics, I'm 100% sure people will be shocked at how insane this product is the moment they load it up on their machines. It's that good.3 points

Not only are the warm up times modeled, but if you turn the CRT's off and then on again, they take less time to come up, because they've already been warmed up. The longer you leave them off, the longer they take to warm up.3 points

Lol ... that great blog is sadly dead now ... It was such a place of heaven X-Plane news before ... now it randomly talks about any games that they likes ... It's their choice, but it's also ours not to follow them ... I loved " Xplane10blog ", not " XSimreviews " ...3 points

Back on topic, guys. We had our fun. Lots to look forward to now!3 points

You mean this post? It's ok. We're used to it. Tells me more about how they run things over there. This kind of thing only motivates us to work even harder!3 points

FMS? Come on, Dave! Real pilots fly using navaid's. There are two NAV radios, two ADF radios, two RMI's and a LEFT and RIGHT navigation source selector, all tied into two independent, DME equipped EHSI's, with different navigational displays (radial or course bar) an Elapsed Timer display and plenty of other goodies.2 points

Oh, this could be the best aircraft ever for XP ...2 points

Yes. This project uses Gizmo 64bit. Gizmo 64bit has fixed any problems with Gizmo 32bit you may have had in the past. SASL and DreamEngine aircraft are no longer a problem. We have one customer with a bug that needs to be fixed in Gizmo 64bit. Just one.2 points

we've been addressing our bug list and todo list and thought I'd snag a screengrab while bug chasing. ---removed video. there are a few things we have yet to clean up and don't want to set notions about what will be released. TomK2 points

Hello, All!, Testing continues to progress well and we have been pleased with the results up to this point. As of now we are on track for our internal release date, and we'll have more info on this soon! Here's a quick preview of another livery you can expect to be available in the Saab 340A package. This one is Kenya Airways, and is done by Leen de Jager! Want to see past previews? Click here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here! Enjoy!1 point

Hi TomK This 737 really looks exteremely promising. You seem to do a wunderful job and i am really looking forward to it. I will be a customer, for sure ;-) And since i saw that you made some FMC-tests around LSZH (my home base) i get even more excited about it :-)1 point

Aye, I agree with my mate Phantom88 ... I'm completely gob-smacked Cameron...1 point

Well ... given the option to only have planes running on a single plugin variant I'd choose my Gizmo planes over my SASL planes in a heart beat. Having said that, there's no such limitation ...1 point

Sorry to hear that, guys. Nicolas Taureau (who runs the org) is known to do things like that. There are many other pro-consumer communities out there. Participate there instead.1 point

I am not into propellers so much, but because this is such high quality and study-sim i will buy it! Its important to support the great addons so we can get more of this superb quality in our airplanes! This is also the first time i wont be buying new aricraft from PMDG (777) just becuase i can´t stand FSX. If they want my support, they have to release it for x-plane! =)1 point

Bring it on Cameron ! On a more serious note, to the development team in-total ... thank-you for your Herculean efforts in getting to the finish line. I know it's a commercial product and everything, but I (and I'm sure many others) really appreciate your serious approach to creating your product! To use an analogy, I rate the product that channels through X-Aviation as the Rembrandt, the Beethhoven, or the Miles Davis of the flight simming world, you are phenomenally good ... based on my personal experience and bias of course! Cheers!1 point

The EADT project is a freeware effort by a small group of hobbyists, and one of the most respected names in X-Plane for the amount of personal time donated for everyone's benefit. It's second to none for the price you pay. This isn't Mortal Kombat. There is no "battle of developers" with the last one standing. There is room for both a higher-end payware model by PMDG and EADTs freeware model.1 point

Hi Javier you might find some info about integrating the KNL90B here, and an excerpt from the manual is quoted below: (I don't know if the links are up to date, but worth a try). Dennis Prüfer, a.k.a. "Falcon" said: You can also keep the KNL90B uptodate with Navigraph or Aerosoft NDP data that inculdes SIDS/STARS/APPR, personally I'm just happy to fly the BAE-32 with VOR/NDB and a compass!!! (old-School!!! ). cessna729. Update 2 : To do to get the KLN90B to work in X-Plane 64 bit was to remove the original xap folder installed with the KLN90B with a 64 bit version (I downloaded from here http://forums.x-plan...2#entry753304).)1 point
