  1. NOTE that the B733_mcp image file (png and dds) will be gone in the next patch. It was a hack of a system from 2010, before the DDS textures...and I've redone it to proper XP standards with modern lights. @maub Unsure how that may affect the text at night....be curious to know..even if that texture is going away. @Bulva replace the two DDS textures with theses PNGs and you should be fine. 2. yea...when certain texture files have certain pieces of information in them...in the alpha channel, etc..it caues X-Plane to change rendering state and stuff can start drawing weird and not "getting light", etc......and we had an alpha channel where we weren't supposed to....so just a matter of time before it caught up to us. Glad to move past this one. TK

  3. @manguras There will be a temporary compromise here....because of our older 3D exterior at the moment. For now, I've put in a small billboard light source for the next patch. Note that I'm reworking the 3D exterior to be high-resolution and in doing that, will be creating a 'proper' recessed wing light with lens cover. But I hope the billboard suffices for the interim. -TK @cloudfreak1 In your case, you're correct the wing lights didn't show with winglets, a bug. Both fixed for next patch -TK

  5. Ok this one is fixed for next update. We had really tricked x-plane's lighting system way back when to simulate multiple light sources on a single surface...but with XP's real lighting...this is normal nowadays. The problem was the way we had our assets set up for export...so a small rearrangement was required (typical of remodels), but this should be good for the next patch. Its looking pretty good now, day and night. -tk

  6. Yep I'm seeing this as well. With the light switch off the MCP panel labelling should be white not black. Maybe some alpha channel/masking thing.

  7. @Pils Tom was basically trying to understand what would be acceptable at the bare minimum. In other words, he doesn't yet want to venture down the road of a full cargo liner with other stuff still in the way. Plugging windows is one way to achieve that, but then is that "good enough" for now? That's what he was asking. I think we need to get through FMS changes first before we start dedicating time to these kinds of time distractions. This sounds fun, but for now the sole focus is going to be mostly in programming from here out. We'll definitely keep this on the list once we reach some bigger milestones.

  9. You're welcome..work in progress, early framework, but we (ok..me) have grand visions for it as a repository for information and training resources eventually.

  10. Review of the LES DC-3 from Q8Pilot. Always entertaining and honest with his reviews, I highly recommend his channel, and this review is definitely worth watching!

  11. And looking into the objects textures I've found the culprit. It's the "B733_mcp.dds", just make it white and voilá.

  12. Verified...this is attributable to the DDS textures. In 1.5.0, we shipped PNGs...which are more reliable, but take up more VRAM. Laminar recommends DDS for optimization. NOW....the MCP lighting is a bit of a special beast...and we MAY be misusing the DDS textures for this guy. For the next patch, we'll ship PNGs for this object at least. ...in the meantime, I'll talk with Laminar about whether this is in their court, or we misbehaved with DDS and have to find another way. -tk

  14. Fixed for next update. When in AUTO mode, now mode C, so PE should pick it up. When set to "ON", then only mode A -tk

  16. This is a bug....Note that the IXEG 737 is getting "remodeled" under the hood, to handle future improvements. So some of our systems are "in migration" from old tech to new. Preferences is one of those systems and I obviously missed this pref. I'll be looking to get this cleaned up quite quick. -TK

  17. Plugged windows, cargo door, and removal of all the interior (seats, etc.) would work as a “package freighter”. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  18. i am talking about the WING OFF/ON switch (Here the wings are illuminated because there are no winglets installed)

  19. Regarding the wing light.. In my case, I see the wing lit up but the source where the light comes from is as if it were inactive.

  20. See attached to what I assume you're speaking of. I also tried opening the setting file, changing the IXEG_user_prefs.txt file's line number 37 from "eye_brows = 0" to "eye_brows = 1", and hitting SAVE. However relaunching sim starts off with eye brows plugged, file shows "eye_brows = 0". Other preferences do stay saved. For instance, switching between steam gauges and EFIS sizes do stay reconfigured with subsequent relaunches. I also double checked to ensure that X-Plane 12 folder has been excluded from threat protections.

  21. FWIW, we see this a lot with crash reports from Challenger users, it’s always been nothing but a coincidence/red herring. Weather updates happen regularly, so you’ll see this is basically everyone’s log.

  22. Gross weight is overall fully loaded. Enter that into fms GW/CRZ 1L from the laminar weight and balance, fms will work out zero fuel weight. Se pics attached

  23. Exactly. X-Plane 12 has introduced more dynamic and realistic ways to manage aircraft weight and balance. With the new loading stations feature, users can precisely allocate weights to different sections of the aircraft. This ensures that the aircraft's performance and flight characteristics are affected accurately based on the weight distribution. For the IXEG 737 Classic Plus, it means that you won't use the aircraft's built-in menu for fuel and weight management anymore. Instead, you'll handle those operations through X-Plane 12's dedicated menus. This integrates the aircraft more seamlessly into the sim environment and leverages the enhanced features of X-Plane 12. There are plans in the future to put our own spin on this interface, but for now the above is what you should use. Hope that clears things up! If you have any further questions or concerns, let us know.

  24. Thx. will try and retune. We had a bug report that the MCP was too dim at night....and the day/night behavior of X-Plane's LIT texturing system is like a see-saw (teeter-totter) where trying to get both day/night texturing looking good is a non-stop battle. I'll keep at it. Thx for reporting. TK

  25. After updating to version 1.5.1, something strange happened to the write on MCP. The inscriptions are almost invisible. It was like this before the update (you can see the subtitles here) Now it's like this
