Hi everyone, just landed and got home, 11h flight from SBGR... just catching up on the posts here and wanted to let you know that I will take over for a bit, after taking a nap, only had about 3h of break on the flight. Weight and balance + fuel has to be set up through the default X-Plane menu for now Spool up times for engine start is a known subject, we can not control the fuel scheduling in X-Plane 12 and therefore this is a function of engine inertia...we are looking at a way to slow it down a bit more XPUIPC does not work in its latest version, use the one posted in this thread earlier (this covers most "throttle does not move" issues Activation problems will need to be solved with X-Aviation support Discount email problems will also need to be solved with X-Aviation support When encountering unexplicable problems the default X-Plane troubleshooting rule applies: Remove all (other) plugins and try again, if it works, add the removed plugins one by one to see which one is conflicting Further discussion of problems and issues will be handled in the "Support" subsection of this forum. We are determined to get the first patch out with the most common and pressing problems fixed first, thanks for everyone´s patience and help in finding and eliminating bugs! Cheers, Jan7 points

Captains, Mark your calendars! This Friday, September 15th, we're releasing the IXEG 737 Classic Plus! This is a next era re-brand for what the IXEG 737 Classic has become after many months of labor. The primary goal in this endeavor was to bring full X-Plane 12 compatibility to this amazing aircraft, squeeze in a few new features, and set the stage for improvements in the future. To us, it's a rebirth of a classic, tailored for X-Plane 12. Truly, stepping into the cockpit feels so good in the new X-Plane 12 environment! A Special Note on Pricing: For our customers who acquired the IXEG 737 Classic on or after February 7th, 2022, this update is for free for you to honor our promise of a free update at the time you made the purchase. As for our dedicated pilots who've been with us since the beginning and purchased the IXEG 737 Classic on or before February 6th, 2022, the upgrade to the Classic Plus version will be available at a nominal fee of $14.95 USD. We believe this price point offers tremendous value, and you'll have 60 days to take advantage of this upgrade offer once the product is released. The IXEG 737 Classic Plus doesn't just bring new features; it rejuvenates the entire flying experience, making this aircraft feel brand new. Here's a quick rundown of what's been brewing over the past 9 months: Fixes & Enhancements (from the XP11 version): Engine Bleed Configuration: Now accurately impacts Takeoff N1. FMS PERF Page: Resets to blank entries post-landing and deceleration below 60kts. Code Optimization: Streamlined and revamped for quicker future updates. Brand New Features for the XP12 Version: Wingflex: Experience the subtle flex of the 737's sturdy wing in our 3D model. 3D Cabin: Dive into a fully detailed cabin, complete with operational galleys (Fancy a cup of coffee?). Moving Cabin Doors: Open and close each cabin door, influencing differential pressure just like the cockpit windows. Loading Stations Concept: Assign weights to specific seat rows and cargo holds for accurate physical effects on the aircraft. Cockpit & Cabin Lighting: Updated for XP12's lighting engine, including interactive cabin lights. X-Plane GUI Integration: Set up your load and fuel seamlessly. GUI Enhancements: A fresh look for the IXEG interface, now VR-accessible. Hide Yoke: With default XP12 key assignment. FOV Slider: Added to preferences for a tailored viewing experience. Cockpit Windows: Upgraded to XP12 tech, showcasing rain and ice effects. Outside Lighting: Balanced for an immersive XP12 photometric experience. Aerodynamics & Engine Tuning: Optimized for XP12's advanced modeling. To our loyal customers transitioning from the X-Plane 11 version, we've poured countless hours into this upgrade, ensuring it's worth every penny. We're confident you'll find the enhancements enjoyable, and with the help of full X-Plane 12 compatibility, transformative! We can't wait for you to take to the skies with the IXEG 737 Classic Plus this Friday. Clear skies and happy flying! IXEG and X-Aviation3 points

Pricing will reflect full retail after this period. A gentle reminder that this is not the first time you're hearing of this. You posted about it back in April, and you were given detailed replies as to the situation: https://forums.x-pilot.com/forums/topic/26540-ixeg-737-classic-for-x-plane-12-announcement/?do=findComment&comment=190694 We don't have any changes with regards to that, and being fully transparent, nothing has even started. That's a very long way out (if at all)! Yes, the v11 aircraft will stay available in your account! There was an e-mail that went out! Regarding VNAV: it's been explained by @Litjan that in his days of flying with a major airline on the 733, LVL CHG was favored over VNAV. We view it that all X-Plane 10 users got free upgrades to XP 11, and all XP 11 users got to enjoy it through the whole XP 11 run. That's years of time for their invested purchase. When XP 12 released, new customers needed assurance that their investment was not going to be dead in the water right after purchase. We needed to continue to fund the project to keep it alive. We feel the $14.95 reflects a fair value for an insane amount of work put in over the last 9 months. Hopefully majority of others will too. All original liveries will be included. All third party liveries will also continue to work, so nothing has changed there!3 points

What we have so far......or the 'clues' we have so far rather......suggest that in each of these cases, something is blocking our plugin from getting on the network and communicating with XA servers. This could be another plugin (as in the case of @haraldh above) ...or a firewall config....an ad-blocker, etc. If we can isolate further and code around it, we certainly will....but not all plugins play nice in the X-Plane sandbox. We're trying to isolate some commonalities between cases and still collecting datapoints from some users helping out, so we're sorting through it. Everybody helping out is spread all over the world though but we'll get through this quickly. -TK2 points

Thx fopr reporting @Obo, indeed this is the highest priority item. We are collecting data from all who've experienced this. If I may ask, would you please delete your log.txt file from the root X-Plane folder, and then start X-plane and load up the IXEG? ...then shut down X-Plane....and finally post your log.txt file here. This will give us a clean log.txt file to use as a data point with others. I am confident we will get this worked out and I'm sorry you're dealing with this at the onset...I know anticipating is high atm. We will continue to work through all these isses and get to those IXEG improvements so you can use it for a long time to come. -TomK2 points

Oh ;-) Sorry for my impatience, but IXEG737 is my favorite plane and I always wait for updates ;-) I have already received an email with the code, and the plane is already being installed. Thank you very, very, very much for your help.2 points

Or subract fuel weight from the xplane gross weight and obtain your ZFW... Best Regards Andrea2 points

There is also some kind of an upnormality with AutoOrtho users. Please if you use AutoOrtho 0.6 or later, make sure you are runing xplane 12 first with a default cessna and then load the IXEG. Otherwise you are runing without sounds and some other issues as well. I have notice this the hard way!!.2 points
-
Hi John, we are in the transition to a better load&trim page - for now please use the default X-Plane weight and balance menu. Unfortunately the default X-Plane menu does not detail the zero fuel weight, but if you just read off the "Gross Weight" and then enter this into the 737´s FMS, the PERF page will do the calculation for you and the ZFW will appear. Hope this helped, Jan2 points

Do you really expect them to have 24/7 customer support? This is a niche hobby. Not amazon.com. Btw I had zero issues with the install and/or DRM.2 points

Hi Roger, If your friend purchases the X-Plane 12 version, we'll gladly ensure he also has access to the X-Plane 11 version to meet your current needs. After the purchase, simply send an email to support@x-aviation.com and reference this correspondence. That way, he'll be well-prepared for any future transitions to X-Plane 12, whenever you choose to make that shift. Thanks again for your continued support, and please let us know if there's anything else we can assist with.2 points

And just a heads-up from my side: I will be away flying DLH507 from Friday afternoon to Saturday morning, landing around 8:45Z in EDDF. I won´t be able to man the forums and give technical advice and log problems until later that afternoon, plus I have a family outing planned on Saturday night to celebrate my 53rd birthday that I spent here in Sao Paulo, away from my family. So give us a chance to catch up with everything over the weekend, I will certainly try to get through the backlog on Sunday. There are bound to be some problems and issues that slipped by me and my testflights, but as Tom already said, we are going to be on deck in the days and week after the launch and the plan is to have a very short turnaround time on critical fixes. I am excited to hear what you guys think! Cheers, Jan2 points

We do appreciate your support Hermann, but your conclusion here is a subjective one. The product pages at XA are provided "for prospective customers consideration when evaluating a purchase", They are not policy pages, warranties or guarantees. Once one has made a purchase, that page, conceptually, goes out of context. I find this reasonable. I bought a Dell monitor a year ago. For me to keep an eye on Dell's "sales page" and try and argue that "current deals offered to prospective customers" on those pages should be retroactively applied to my purchase over a year ago is not reasonable in my opinion. I respect you have your perspective though mine is different. Certainly your perspective will be taken into consideration for future wordings so your points are noted. On a broader level though...you stated previously that you thought the IXEG was great and I thank you for that. If we didn't charge for this update, then I would have never started the update and we would have absolutely declared the IXEG end of life at Version 11 and I would have moved on from X-Plane development. As it stands, I hope to now support the IXEG for years to come and also develop new products. Your support, whether you agree with some elements of the effort or not, does play a part in that. If you choose to purchase the upgrade, I hope you still find the IXEG to your liking and we'll endeavor to keep at it making it better. -tkyler2 points

Going to be hard to solve with such little data to go on. Unfortunately Windows/X-Plane provide no real details of the crash in the Log.txt; it is just as possible to be some other plug-in or X-Plane itself crashing. Maybe you would consider removing SAM and SkunkCraftsUpdater first, both of which have been known to cause issues to general sim stability. (The latter can be removed permanently as they have replaced it with a standalone version.)1 point

I was following the flight on flightaware XD. Nevertheless the 733 is just a joy to fly in XP12. I'm confident that the wear-in issues will iron out in the comming weeks. Thanks for taking the time to update us before your nap.1 point

There is now a default GPU on many airports in X-Plane that you can request via the ground services menu. I realize that this GPU just drives up, stays for a while then leaves again (and that it´s presence does not coincide with the availability of ground power), but we did not want that GPU to "clash" with the default one. Also, often ground power comes not from a cart (this is nowadays the exception), but from a fixed wire at the jetbridge or from a ground socket.1 point

It will take a while - you probably have a "Level 2" activation issue like many other people, X-Aviation will come up with a solution very shortly, I am certain.1 point

That post about the working XPUIPC version (which is 2.0.4.7) is this one, for reference:1 point

Thanks for the report, will tune high-alt starter behavior and we will look at a way to override the default X-Plane startup spool speed.1 point

Same behavior at me. In addition, I noticed that XP's cockpit and exterior sound is switched off for me. I can't turn it back on, the sound keeps switching off.1 point

Another one here that has not got an email - have raised a ticket but nothing heard. Pretty disappointing really . Scott1 point

I got it running, except for the sound. I just have a white noise and I cannot hear the knobs, switches, etc. Any work around? I already restarted the sim and no luck. Cheers!1 point

Apologies if this has already been asked. What is the process for recent customers? I bought the classic last month so that I could have a play in XP11 before the XP12 version was released. If I go to download the new version now it wants me to pay full price again. I have received nothing from X-Aviation. Are recent customers supposed to get a 100% discount code or is there some other process? Peter1 point

A quick message as evening comes upon my time zone, time to meet with family and things slowing down a bit for today. I suspect I'll link back to this a few times over the next week. As you can guess, a release is mayhem. We see situations we simply can't test for, and some customers end up towards the extreme of the bell curve and have issues that seem to be fringe. Time-zones also always cause inconvenience for some to have to wait more than others. This isn't good or bad, its just how things are in a global market. I know that excitement and anticipation conflicting with frustation of an issue is emotionally annoying, and we simply can't get to everything at once. SO...to help establish expectations. We are basically manning these forums this weekend (during reasonable hours) and "collecting" issues into a log...and they come fast at first. In general, its the folks who have issues that post here and we can report we're also seeing lots of successful installs. We will certainly focus on activation issues firstly....but after and once this initial rush passes...probably in 3-4 days, we'll start prioritizing all the other reports and then begin working on those towards patches. Patches may be more frequent in the early going depending on how severe the "break". Others will be collected and released as a group if they're less severe or annoying. I can assure you we'll be here to address these issues as soon as possible, but it may be a day or two wait for some. I humbly ask for your patience in these cases....we've come this far and not stopping now. Certainly its our goal to get everyone up and running quickly....and get right back to improving things. --B'day dinner with my daughters...signing off for a bit! -TomK1 point

Pinned the Whats new topic here for anybody to point when others may ask: That URL won't go out to new customers for a little bit....as we want to get through this initial push and see what crops up....being that the new XP12 update is out there and there's always hardware configs out there we can't anticipate. But at least its there for "pointing to" if anybody asks. Note that we'll be doing normal family stuff for our time zone (GMT -6)...that means dinner...going to bed at a reasonable hour and not hunkering at the computer. Wife tired of that for the last week and I've used all my "stay on the computer late" vouchers with her. BUT, I'll be around most of the weekend logging any reports worth logging and answering questions as I can. -tkyler1 point

Not for the forseeable future. This is simply a matter of time and logistics atm. I have 'X' number of plates I have to keep spinning, not only for this X-Plane work, but also life in general. I'm creeping up on that age where the less things I have to think about the better. I have given this some thought, but unable to work it in so don't think about it currently. -tkyler1 point

Potato / Pa-tah-to it seems..... I recall one reviewer on Youtube once said, "The sounds of the IXEG are mediocre"...and recommended a "sound-pak" which was much better. He probably had tinitus Having used FMOD on the MU2, I have a reasonable feel for it and while it is powerful, It does take 2-3x the work in FMOD than it did in code only. That being said, it does open the door for more immersive sound implementations and certainly ensures future compatibility, which after this V11 / V12 transition work, has taken on a new level of importance for us. But reset assured, we'll make sure the sound immersion holds up. Its a major part of the experience for sure. -TomK1 point
-
Your question isn't stupid at all! Yes, the sounds you loved in the XP11 version are indeed the result of the custom 3D sound engine created by @tkyler. This engine was developed before X-Plane integrated FMOD, and it's what gives our products like the IXEG 737 and the Saab their distinct audio quality. We're proud of the immersive sound experience it provides and are glad to hear you enjoy it as much as we do! One day it will sunset in favor of FMOD though.1 point

Hey guys, I'm thinking of buying this Gulfstream G550, but i want some insight. Does anybody have this aircraft and can provide some details, or their opinion on the plane? Thanks http://store01.prostores.com/servlet/x-planestore/Detail?no=3251 point
