  1. do you know the difference between a nice-to... and a Must-have? shame on you not having understood what you have in your hands, nobody defends a developer, on my side at least I give my advice to let devs know not everybody is keen on fps killing animations. The interest we have is to keep this add-on free of useless rubbish that would impact its performance. This add-on, unlike others, that cannot cope with systems qualities, does not need any nice to have eye candy animations to be what it claims to be: the best simulated 737 out there!!! it is a master piece as such and no distraction is needed. as many stated, if you would try to master what is in this X-Plane jewel, you wouldn't even have the time to go outside of the cabin to watch "flex", on my side I would not even miss any objects outside of the cockpit... too much to do in the cockpit, but that is just assuming you actually fly this thing and are not touching yourself watching the plane land by itself in Autoland mode. and if you still miss those, I would recommend you take on some other sim/ad-on combination to satisfy your very personal need for aviation-pornography! Have a look at JAR, they do some very nice ones, or the classic FSX/Aerosoft-cartoon-plane-on-the-rails-simulators. But please guys, stop the rubbish about wingflex. There are more important things to fix.

  2. Seriously stringden, just fly the airplane. I suggest you watch this video: There is a lot to master in any complex aircraft like this one. Stop worrying about being a passenger and actually fly the damn thing!

  3. Wow five posts and -15 reputation. You really should take the hint. Now I am off to fly the IXEG, from the pilots seat, where I cannot see nor even care if the wings are flexing because its much more fun flying the thing.

  4. We appreciate the feedback thank you. Our goal isn't to be like X or Z nor do we feel any need to adjust our efforts.... With that said we do listen to the community, especially users, and we taylor updates from recommendations... Main difference between us and the other sim is the size of the market, as x-plane grows so does our resources.... We are successful also SMP is a very popular product and we will continue to strive for #1 with our efforts.....

  5. Sad, but fortunately the LH 733 will continue to fly virtually for years. And actually this is not the last LH 737 flight, there is atleast one more which - if everything goes as planned - you will hear more about soon

  6. Why dont you wingflex guys go do some more manual raw data departures and approaches. I bet you wont miss the lack of wingflex lol

  8. Thank you. I'm truly sorry that you're not able to just enjoy your stuff. I've spent the last few weeks rebuilding DRM to make it more secure. This is a "waste" of time for all of us. Hopefully for XMas I can upgrade everyone to self-managed machines...

  9. There is a re-activation process and for about 99% of people it works fine. Machine ID's that are not in active use expire after six months. You are granted three machine ID's for use when you make a purchase. If you somehow chew through three machine ID's in the space of six months then you are part of the 1% of the user base that has troubles. A disturbingly large % of this 1% of users is often found to be sharing amongst friends. For this reason a manual review process is in place for those that have exceptional use cases. WIthout this manual review we would suffer such ridiculous piracy that we'd probably not be in business. WIthout more money I can't upgrade the systems. Very rarely we are hit with something like the Win10 Anniversary Update or MacOS Sierra. There are plenty of ways to stability test a new OS install. Activating all my favorite small-shop software that has unique requirements isn't one of them. I'm just the developer.

  11. Please show me one for X-Plane that has something better. This is an incredibly small market relative to even flappy bird.

  12. Heh, that seems to be your problem then. This isn't a game. Should wingflex be included? Yes, eventually. But not until more pressing matters have been addressed. Your obsession with this is very peculiar when there are much more glaring issues in the simulation side of things that don't seem to phase you.

  16. This is making me laugh so hard. I don't know why but its absolutely hilarious. How high does wingflex get you? And how long have you been addicted? I happen to think it is not that important, and not even once while flying the plane have I noticed the lack of wing flex, particularly considering I can barely see the wings out of the cockpit window anyway.

  17. Strange.... You seem to have a normal looking MachineID being generated. Investigating.

  20. I'm not looking for simplification, But as stated before by @Charraeus in this thread, there are pages of VSpeed tables, but missing the headline which should state about parameters to consider. For example, What flap setting is this chart for ?

  21. I think I get an idea from your hint . I was so super excited about this retirement that I even bought a - not quite cheap - ticket for one of Lufthansa´s last 737 flights on the last schedule day for those. Sadly the crew was in a hurry because we were late due to a technical problem, but they were still quite nice to me and let me take pictures from the cockpit. I even had the chance to sit in Jan´s former captain seat . Still it was a really sad to see LHs Bobby roll away for the last time from the gate at Stuttgart airport. I took some footage of the flight on my phone, so if there is interest, I might upload it here. Now I can´t wait to get my hands on v1.1 of the IXEG 737 that I will definitely continue to fly for years.

  22. We're preparing a rather large upgrade of this package for XP11, and part of this upgrade is a modified flight model and added documentation. What we have included in the documentation in the current package is , pretty much, taken out of the AOM and is what pilots use in their every day duties. It's difficult to simplify something that relies on complex calculations, in a quick and dirty way to make it more understandable. I'm looking at some kind of simplification for the upgrade, and we'll include it in the current XP10 version. For now, if there are any specifics you need help with within the charts, please feel free to ask and I'll do my best to help.

  24. It is not on the top of the to-do list at the moment. As we see it there are more important thing to do first. Doing it right is also quite tricky, most of the attempts you see around are a simplification of physics and 3D bending moments. Also, what you believe is a "must" is not necessary a "must" to others.

  25. Well, I guess developers have studied the IXEG 737 well by now and got *inspiration* in many areas As for the new default 737NG, I believe Alex is behind the 3D on that, and he is possibly the best 3D designer in X-Plane, so I expect that to be awesome. The MD80 is most likely Sergio Santagada's which has existed behind the scenes for a decade but never got released, and I'm really happy to see it again in such good shape! For those who are not old enough, Sergio is kind of the "Godfather" of XP, he built the first quality airliners in XP and played a major role in XP development of scenery, aircraft and textures in the period XP v5 - 9 if I recall correct.

  26. XP11 is basically just XP10 with a new gui, added features like Ambient Occlusion and a redesigned aircraft park. So in version 1.0 you would not see that much difference. Same ground texture, same tree texture same mesh and same fun No need to worry, the future is bright and it will get brighter

  27. maybe they can add a slider like in the FF767, so that Wing flew enthusiastic can set it to max even if it's not realistic

  30. So i'm starting my second project, which is about 40 different 787 packages. Each package will contain one livery, with custom interior and exterior fittings. the planes will feature FBW plugins and a full 3d cockpit, along with a full interior and detailed exterior. A video by Ruyjo1 is available on his youtube channel.

  33. To make this aircraft perfect, there must be WINGFLEX. And dont tell me that aircraft is small. and it is not so importent. To feel the plane , the wind it is very nice. You can leave everything like it is, but wingflex must be. And it will be the masterpiece of IXEG. -2

  37. It seems to me , that you all guys have interest in defending you friends developers. We can eat without spoons and knifes too, but I dont think you do this, like we can fly without wingflex. But nowdays it is important to have wingflex. If you dont want it go to Xplane 5 and fly on windows 95. I wonder , why you write something here and make developers never even think about wingflex. Shame on you !
