  1. Hi, Captains!, This is just a quick status report on where we stand. Tomorrow will mark our one week window of release week information. We are making every effort to meet that time, though unexpected items (small or big) can get in the way and delay that only slightly, if at all. We have released Release Candidate 1.0 to our test team and they are putting the installer and programming through the paces. At this point it's important to ensure we have squashed the bugs they report from beta to beta (so far so good). We will continue to get feedback from them and fix as necessary. This is also our quality control check time. We are verifying that the package contains all it needs to, and none of what it shouldn't. We go through every texture, variant, and livery. We're also fine tuning a few animations we didn't quite like and had better ideas for, but that's nothing big or delay worthy. The big one right now is the manual. We are still in the phase of compiling the final layout and content aside from what we have had already during this time. Releasing a product like this without a good quality manual renders this product almost useless for the majority of folks, so it's important we get this one done. I don't know exactly when we'll get this out the door (tonight, tomorrow morning, whatever) other than to say when we say it's "done!" It's very, very, very close, and it's exciting for all of us to say the least! So, this is just a little status report. We're still here, working around the clock, and ready for a vacation. Talk soon!

  3. Nicolas offended me by calling it crap vaporware. So we stopped working on it and we're going fishing.

  4. Read the Saab manuals. And be prepared to learn a few extra little things that Saab didn't cover. Subtle little things that only an active pilot would notice.

  7. So far mine has performed great over photoscenery level 18 and cities can drop it down to upper 20`s to lower 30`s. Otherwise its over 100 in mountains with trees and photo scenery. Just wishing I had more time to play with it. Next month when the rest of guys come for annual gathering we get a chance to see what it can do. I am sure Tom Kyler and Cameron will give it a workout.

  8. Was a bit disapointed at the beginning, as I thrown everything max... after savouring my defeat, I removed some AAA, turn Global Shadows to high only and got some great 60 FPS with high poly planes over country side, and high 30 over biggest citties/sceneries But my I73970X used 35% max ( with 25 AI planes ) the GTX Titan seems to be maxed out ... X-Plane really need optimising, hope to see that for X-Plane 11,in a year or two

  12. you might get the plane before the manual so you can figure it out by trial and error, so that when you DO get the manual you'll understand what it's talking about also... have you guys released any pricing information for this yet, or do we have to wait until the Day Itself to know how much it will cost?

  13. If you read again, you might notice that it is the manual that currently takes the most amount of time, so I doubt it will be ready before the actual product.

  14. Only by accident. It's kind of like how old people drive. They aren't really sure how they got to where they are and it is nowhere near where they wanted to go. Now hours are spent just trying to get back to where you needed to be.

  19. When I first got into simming, I had FS9 on a Walmart special PC that was made for bean counting. American Samoa was one of the few places I could fly with settings wide open and get decent frames. Good memories. Looking forward to getting back into it and checking this out when it's done!

  20. This project is definitely alive. It is being worked on when either Jim, Theo or myself have nothing to do on the Saab. The Saab is taking most of our time now, especially as it is in the hands of external testers who are providing valuable feedback and bug reports. Some work has been done on the Citation, including coding some systems. Once the Saab is done, I'm off on a well deserved, overdue vacation, and then we'll throw ourselves into the Citation full time.
