  5. That's normal behavior, we couldn't get the cloud shadows to interact with the cockpit...... It's on our radar, but right now it isn't possible.....

  8. Hi, this is correct - the relais holding the connection to the generators are held close by battery bus current. Once the battery drains, you will loose all power to the aircraft. This will usually not happen, because the battery charger is powered through the ground service bus. If you turn off the battery switch, all buses will become unpowered, except for the hot battery bus. If you want to fly without AC generators you can - the battery will power all the buses you mentioned (but while on the ground, you need to move the standby pwer switch to "stby pwer", not to auto). But only if the battery switch is on. Once the battery is drained, you can not connect any power to the aircraft, anymore (not even GPU). Jan

  12. Hello I struggle a bit with autoland and using autobrake. If im a bit late on disconnecting AP after touchdown, the autobrake wont work. I have to disconnect AP immediate after main gear are hitting the ground. If I wait for nose gear, its to late. Is it a bug or Im a doing something wrong?

  16. No, I fly full time. But I have a nice gaming-laptop that fits just inside my flightkit and since I am old and married, I don´t have to entertain the flight-attendants and hit the bars during night-stops anymore, I actually get a lot of stuff done . Jan

  17. Cameron, I understand that mixing in default clouds isn't supported, and never will be, by SkyMaxx. The majority of users won't even think of the possibility, let alone actually try it. However, since it doesn't actually change anything about SMP itself, but simply is a modification of datarefs (no different than, say, using RTH) I kindly request to leave it to us wether we want to enable the default clouds or not. SMP is a tremendous enhancement to X-Plane, but it isn't perfect and adding default clouds gives us (especially those with less potent hardware) a chance to balance things out a bit. Again, no support is required or expected, but please don't block other plugins just for the sake of it. Thank you for considering! Steve

  18. The problem of comparing the real world to simulation comes down to one factor: possible detail. A computer screen has only so many pixels, whereas your eyes can perceive what is literally a countless amount of detail. I am fully aware of how Kahoolawe looks in real life, but when flying over a dull, brown lump at HD quality on an LCD screen, all you see is a dull, brown, lump. You don't see those seasonal stream tracks that you can spot in real life. You don't see those little nooks and crannies in the cliffs, those bushes along the beaches. In all honesty, it is not my decision to publish the package with the stauration pumped through the roof, although it is nice in some ways. I am in charge of conversions. For the time being, this is the only version I will be distributing, but since you brought this point up AND I brought this up with my superior... I'll consider creating an optional second file with less contrast, vibrancy and saturation. However, I still stand firmly with my statement of real life vs. the computer screen. Not everyone flies retina I'd like to finish by saying that this scenery is to make X-Plane both more realistic and to make it much more beautiful as well. I've been to Maui, Oahu and Kauai, and I've been to the Big Island five times. Although this does not give me any kind of sense of what it must be like to live there, I have the understanding of what outsiders want to see and what they actually see - for instance, on Kauai, quite frankly photographs never capture just how absolutely spectacular the mountains are, simply because the human eye processes real-life differently than it processes simulated life. In conclusion, thank you for your input! Honestly, I'm glad someone has an opinion to voice about this, and to reward you, I'll see about having a more realistic (rather than breathtaking, dreamy-like and such) version available for download in version 1.1 (1.0 is awaiting approval by Cameron as I type ) Cheers, and as you lived there, I will gladly consider all recommendations and concerns you have for this project!
