  1. Yeah, this is completely normal and I have seen it like this (or even worse) in the real airplane many times. IIRC the thrust levers were allowed to be about "one knob apart" at the same N1 and it was still considered to be in limits. And the acceleration in your movie was also fine. Also be aware that "engine age" is random between airplane loads. Jan

  2. I just got too frustrated with fiddling with the settings on my Mac, so I build a PC with the GTX 1080 card and i7 4GHz and 64 Gigs of RAM. Even though the cost was about $2,500 the cost was more than worth it. Running maxed out on very high and a resolution of 2560x1400, I am getting fps of 25-60. This depends on the weather and scenery load of course.

  3. ok then that is not what I see in my game. Could you please show a screenshot at say FL350 of this effect? You may try overhead Geneva, the weather is quite crapy today. Pierre

  4. As a British Columbian, Mars Bomber has been part of my vocabulary for many years. I even got to see one in flight when I was younger. The era of the Martin Mars is over, and they are slowly retiring them to static display one by one. Like other iconic aircraft, there simply isn't the money to keep them going. These are the second largest flying boats ever built. The only bigger one didn't really "fly" per se. I got to see them parked at Sproat Lake on a trip to Tofino this past February, and their sheer size blew me away. Absolutely stunning. The tail was as tall as the surrounding old-growth forests. I wish one could go to my local museum, but there isn't even enough room on the property for the beast. One day I'll go to the museum where this beast sits with my kids and pull a "back in my day" with them. That will be strange. Anyways, this is quite interesting, and if anyone has $25000CAD lying around, do it. http://www.cheknews.ca/martin-mars-flight-can-25000-us-188734/

  6. Yes, plenty of information related to its function occurs. The function is so developed and not a failure. Jan

  7. Most people don't have an issue with frames when not using the fmc. And considering no one knows why, it's hard to pinpoint and work on a solution. As well its computer based. Not fully ixeg based. What are your PC specs? Try reinstalling the plane. Also remove the plugins back to stock configuration. Except Gizmo ofcourse.

  8. In theory, ours will handle any number of sequential bypass situations...I think the real FMS might be a memory limitation. This is a known bug that, as Jan says, can be cleaned up with some route editing most of the time, but I still want to clean it up a bit.....its a challenging section of code in bypass situations and I need to address it slowly and carefully. Interceptions after bypasses are the most complex code in the entire LNAV....but we'll get there. -tkyler

  11. Another big win is to use fast cloud puff style and low res texture set. Allowed me to increase the coverage slider from 1/2 to 3/4. The clouds look perfectly fine to me for flying at all altitudes.

  12. I love the imacs, i do own 2 of them 27". Later 2013 imac highest nvidia gpu, cpu, mem spec configuration as well as a later 2014 retina 5k, also highest amd and cpu/mem spec configuration. I would say imacs are not up to the task of running extreme apps like xplane simulation. Imacs are a beauty, sleek design, quieter, no cabling all around, awesome screens, osx is just great to me. They are all what you need for the conventional day to day home/business tasks. But for extreme gaming/simulation? I would say they are no go based on my experience so far, you simply have to make too much compromises. They are severely restricted in wattage, they run the -mobile- hardware version of their pc counterparts but they cost 3 times than a pc. I will be selling one of them soon (i will keep the other for my day by day) and for that money i am able to get one of the most highest spec powerfull available pcs today including newest gtx 1080 from nvidia that will outperform the imac 2 times easily for 1/3 of the original imac cost higher spec configuration. just my 2 cents.
