  3. All LES add ons are planned for an XP11, PBR upgrade. I've wanted to do some PROPER bare metal liveries for the DC-3 for a while. It's like bare metal and the DC-3 are a marriage made in heaven. There are a few fixes I'm looking at as well, including the fuel transfer. Also looking at mesh optimization and new textures throughout. I don't think it'll take too long, but I'll post updates with screenshots as work progresses. Trying to get as much done as possible in as short a time as possible.

  4. Thanks for the tips.. I did that and now the APU works. But I noticed that the .acf filesize changed from 2.2MB to 1.1MB . So I hope I dident break anything Maybe its saving in a new format or something that are reducing the size. I have a backup, so lets see if everything is behaving as normal.

  7. Yeah, we need to run a solid quality pass on the VNAV - it works ok for standard situations, but once the descents get more intricate (with lots of restrictions, etc.) it doesn´t do so well. The "UNABLE CRZ ALT" warning is usually a sign that you are asking too high a crz alt for the route distance, i.e. the plane can´t make it up and down in time. This may be compounded by restrictions on SID and STAR that force a flatter profile... The "CHECK ALT TGT" message says that your MCP alt is set in the opposite direction of what your FMS expects. So if you are at 5000, your cruise alt is set to 10.000 but you set the MCP alt to 4000, you would get the message ("huh? don´t we need to climb to cruise alt, first? Why do you want to descend already??") Jan

  8. I had this exact same issue tonight with version 1.0.7. It started when I dialed in 13000 on the MCP in anticipation of the descent on the CLARR TWO arrival into KLAS. It initiated the descent fine, but stopped at FL240 after Misen and never descended after that until I manually switched to LVL CHG. It did some of the other odd things you mentioned further down the arrival. *edit* I just read on another thread that the VNAV is a little flakey. No problem, I'll fly the descents manually from now on. However the strange "Invalid Cruise Altitude" warning is still something to look at perhaps.

  9. Progress Update Hello everyone. I'd like to thank you all for waiting patiently for the release of this product. I am pleased to announce that the scenery will be released for both X-Plane 10 and 11. The product is 95% complete and the only tasks left to do are adding taxi routes, static and animated apron vehicles, parked vehicles, volumetric grass and X-Life compatibility. I expect to complete the scenery and submit it to Aerosoft for beta testing in the beginning of December. Please note that it will take some time for Aerosoft to test the scenery, fix any bugs and distribute it to the different stores. Meanwhile, please enjoy the following screenshots captured in X-Plane 11's beautiful new rendering engine. -- Click on each screenshot below to view the full detail of the scenery in gorgeous 1920 x 1080 pixels --

  12. Would be wise to leave such claims to the developers, after all it's not your place to call a project you are not in any shape or form involved with dead. Actually, they are pretty active with responses on the other forum. It's still going, not so long ago Kiwi said it's coming a bit slower due to numbers of bugs they are encountering.

  13. Yeah, I love it when manuals are clear and concise and leave no room for misinterpretation. Here is my favourite one: Quote: There appears to be some confusion over the new pilot role titles. This notice will hopefully clear up any misunderstandings. The titles P1, P2, and Co-Pilot will now cease to have any meaning, within the BA operations manuals. They are to be replaced by Handling Pilot, Non-handling Pilot, Handling Landing Pilot, Non-Handling Landing Pilot, Handling Non-Landing Pilot, and Non Handling Non-Landing Pilot. The Landing Pilot, is initially the Handling Pilot and will handle the take-off and landing except in role reversal when he is the Non-Handling Pilot for taxi until the Handling Non-Landing Pilot, hands the handling to the Landing Pilot at eighty knots. The Non-Landing (Non-Handling, since the Landing Pilot is handling) Pilot reads the checklist to the Handling Pilot until after Before Descent Checklist completion, when the Handling Landing Pilot hands the handling to the Non-Handling Non-Landing Pilot who then becomes the Handling Non-Landing Pilot. The Landing Pilot is the Non-Handling Pilot until the "decision altitude" call, when the Handling Non-Landing Pilot hands the handling to the Non-Handling Landing Pilot, unless the latter calls "go-around", in which case the Handling Non-Landing Pilot, continues Handling and the Non-Handling Landing Pilot continues non-handling until the next call of "land" or "go-around", as appropriate. In view of the recent confusion over these rules, it was deemed necessary to restate them clearly."
