Among my two much larger projects I am currently in the process of completing (or barely starting), I will be building this lovely little stupidly decomissioned airstrip in Blaine, Washington. It is just south of the Canadian Border and will never operate again seeing as an industrial building has been placed in the middle of the runway. Screw you, Blaine, I'm building this airport for X-Plane whether you think it's there or not. Anyways, that is all. More updates later.1 point

I can just see it now..... Aircraft weight & Balance - Load passengers aka paratroops (passengers aka paratroops appear in cabin). Half an hour into flight....(and preferably over land or something solid)... Ctrl+O - deselect passengers aka paratroops (passengers aka paratroops disappear from cabin). You have to imagine the jumping-out bit. I like Cameron's version better.... I can't do it without irony.1 point

As has been stated in past topics, we're happy to make it available on request. I have heard in recent time that Laminar rarely hears grief about VATSIM not being 64-bit. That is a concern to me, as instead of bugging developers for old tech and dealing with it, we should be pushing everyone forward. After all, this all started with Laminar's forward movement themselves! I think this topic has pretty much ran its course now. We all are aware of the current situation, and the product page is quite clear on what's available prior to purchase, as well as what to expect. I don't want to overpopulate such a simple topic that should have been just a question and answer with further confusion, so we'll close this with good resolution now. Thanks all!1 point

I don't understand this discussion. CRJ 1.4.5 32bit is still available for those using X-Plane 9 or 32bit.1 point

May be, i just say may be, Cameron could give you a link for the 1.4.5 realese.. It is thes best 32 bits release of the CRJ to fly Ivao or Vatsim. Or just wait some weecks for the the 64 bits release of Xivap, or some mounthes for Vatsim. Cheers.1 point

I suppose Cameron could put "NOT 32 BIT COMPATIBLE" in huge caps across the top of the page. But even then, some people would still not get it.1 point

What blame are you referring to? Seriously? Pull your head out, man! It's obvious you just have some kind of ax to grind so you're spouting off here. A reply indicating the reason for the issue was given and no blame was placed or even implied that it was the original poster's fault. You're way out of line here, pal.1 point

How can you possibly say that pointing the customer to the web page that clearly shows the plane is only 64 bit compatible is "blaming" them? The customer asked why something wasn't working, was told why, and referred to the web page indicating the plane is only 64 bit compatible. Where is the "blame" you speak of?1 point

I believe its a little rude to specifically mention someones product's user if they want to change to your sky environment addon. It creates tension and rivalry which we do not want here. And potential damage someone's sales. Apparently, its you only Aaron in the team, im not so sure about the other devs since you stated that they dev for MSFS. I have seen much better work from others, what i see here is simply random tones of skies with a pricetag because a installer for windows only is available. As you said that this is a work in progress, i dont see anything else to "improve" on a set of sky colours rather than adjusting the colours in Ps. SKYMAXX Extreme has some innovative and distinct features, its not simply a bunch of sky textures and cloud textures, a plugin was programmed to implement skyboxes, a first in X-Plane, which allows great cloud illusions, the programming probably costs so therefore to cover up the expenses it is payware. As for your remark on the glacier textures, i have to ask you on the comments page in your facebook to make you reply that John has made the textures, your first reply simply stated that the textures were made from AWG. So you are trying to hide the fact that John made the textures, and stating that YOUR TEAM made them. You tried to be a developer, running a proper team and brand, but you rocked the boat many times, causing most customers to walk away unsatisfied with their purchase. The fs market is pretty big, and many developers made quite a good living out of developing add ons. You are a fraud. Using John's texture without mentioning him in the first place, until users at the org notice a similar texture style from John then you go ahead and stated that John made them. Simply put: You used him. He has the right to comment on this thread because he is trying to protect his product. Next time, you shouldnt ask such a question. Nobody ask "Would folks be willing to switch from ______ to our ______product?1 point

"Difficult" comes in many flavors and is different for each team member, so I can only give my own perspectives. There has been difficulty with the 'tediousness' of the work, difficulty with maintaining motivation, difficulty with team dynamics, difficulty with algorithm concepts etc....but in a more tangible sense, the most difficult part...conceptually... for myself was developing the lnav route calculation algorithm. Its done in spherical trig and attempts to be 'smart'. If you have a right turn over a waypoint for example..but decide to make it a left turn, we re-run the algorithm with the new data, considering aircraft performance and draw the new route...and if its doable (i.e. next waypoint not inside the turn radius)...then the plane will follow it (see screenshot below). This is an ongoing 'difficult' problem though and we still have several issues to solve...but I think the fact that the FMS route calculations, both lnav and vnav...being the last thing we have to tackle pretty much sums up that it's one difficult challenge. This topic is now closed. I'm glad we could get to the bottom of this mess and clear Dan's AND Carenado's name from the bad accused of them. There is no tolerance for individuals who choose to take part in pirating aircraft here, as it hinders the good in our passion and hobby. As such, PilotHudson is banned without further notice. Thanks to Steven for investigating further and following up with responses as requested. If anyone has objections to this ban, please feel free to PM any admin here.1 point
