A lot of shots today, I guess I just love this chopper Got the engine revvin' up already. Taxiing to the runway for a running takeoff. And off to explore the backcountry of Wyoming! An icy summit in the Tetons. The valley of Jackson Hole. After a nice flight, it's time to get lunch Set her down here? Thanks for viewing my screenshots! Airport was KJAC Jackson Hole, located in a valley between the astonishing Tetons. http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=190154 points

Apparently, this is taken from an actual Qantas maintenance sheet. P is the Pilot reporting the problem and S is "Solutions" marked by the engineers. P: Left inside main tyre almost needs replacement. S: Left inside main tyre almost replaced. P: Test flight OK, auto-land very rough. S: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft. P: Something loose in cockpit. S: Something tightened in cockpit. P: Dead bugs on windshield. S: Live bugs on back order. P: Auto pilot in altitude-hold mode produces a 200 feet per minute descent. S: Can't reproduce problem on the ground. P: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear. S: Evidence removed. P: DME volume unbelievably loud. S: DME volume set to more believable level. P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick. S: That's what friction locks are for. P: IFF inoperative in OFF mode. S: IFF always inoperative in OFF mode. P: Suspect crack in windshield. S: Suspect you're right. P: Number 3 engine missing. S: Engine found on right wing after brief search. P: Aircraft handles funny. S: Aircraft warned to straighten up, fly right and be serious. P: Target radar hums. S: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics. P: Mouse in cockpit. S: Cat installed in cockpit. P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer. S: Took hammer away from midget.1 point

Quite a post. I did see your comments before and when I see comments that have a somewhat negative undertone, I usually don't reply. First, it's very unlikely we're going to make more Citations any time soon. After the Saab and Citation, we have another 2 (possibly 3) add ons planned...1 of which is the 742. Modern glass cockpits and systems are extremely tedious and time consuming to make. A perfect example of this is the Saab 340. We COULD make a lite version, but we don't want to go down that road anymore. Everything we make from the Saab onwards will be "procedure level". The turboprop market is one we have been seriously considering on exploiting. In our down time, we have been looking at various turboprops and found some very interesting ones we would like to create. With 1 in particular that caught our attention. (Don't ask, coz we ain't telling!) As for developing for FSX or any other platform...that is extremely unlikely. We have our own reservations to not develop for FSX and I don't really want to go criticizing it on certain points. I'm sure it is a great platform for users and developers alike, but for us, based on what we know about it, it lacks certain features that are readily available in X-Plane. Weather radar being just one example.1 point

Let me get this straight... You send an email to us less than 24 hours ago. You send ANOTHER email within that same timeframe. Then you write three posts about non-responsiveness all within minutes of one another... All of this after having previously bought scenery packs without hassle? Emails are answered in the order received. Writing in multiple times will push your response time back based on last email received. Your patience is appreciated. Thanks.1 point

Hm, you should try Air Hauler, same idea, but it natively supports X-Plane.1 point

That's about all I fly unless I'm flying a heavy. It provides purpose with a financial challenge.1 point

Mate, I think you'll be vying with Nicola soon as the resident rotorhead! Nice work (I know they're stills, but you look like you've got the knack for flying these inherently life threatening airborne transportation devices). All I can say is that I'm glad I'm not trying to fly choppers in RL .. otherwise I'd definitely be viewing the forum from 'the other side"!1 point

Hello, One of the things in 10.10 that's been done by Laminar is to stop electric flaps operating on a dead bus. However on the CRJ the flaps were still working in the cold and dark state. So... I opened up planemaker and ticked the highlighted box So afterwards flaps don't operate on a dead bus (as should be the case)! Any chance you can catch this for the next update? --------------------- Hydraulics One of the things I've been investigating is to see how the hydraulics system hangs together. Test: 1. In flight, turn off hydraulic pumps 1, 3A & 3B. Leaving just pump 2 running. 2a. Operate landing gear - landing gear shouldn't move but it does. b. Roll the plane. Left aileron shouldn't move but it does. You can repeat the tests symetrically if you wish (and do more tests with brakes etc..), but the above test suggests that the hydraulic system only consists of one universal hydrailic circuit with 6 pumps, rather than three separate hydraulic circuits in x-plane. Is this a bug with the CRJ, or a limitation in x-plane that hasn't been highlighted? The hydraulics description in your manual isn't highlighted red, which suggests it should work as described. This isn't new for 10.101 point
