...and I am pretty sure you entered the displayed airport position into the "hollow boxes"? Take a look at the Quickstart guide #2 or Tutorial #3, they both contain the procedures for that. Jan

Good report, was known. Will take a bit longer to fix (need to port code over for right CDU). Hopefully next hotfix, possible a bit longer. Just ask your Captain to do the POS INIT for you in the meantime (about time he gets to work, that lazy slob!) Jan

Good report, thank you! Was known and should be fixed for next update. No effect on aircraft ops, though. Jan

Hi and thanks for the feedback! This is a bug, and we will fix it with the next update Ok, we will take a look at that - Tom has a good fix in for the next update relating to STAR selection... During idle on ground, oil pressure should be in the yellow range, this is realistic. During takeoff, it just needs to be "in the green", exact pressure would vary Some work to do with the ToC marker. It´s perfectly normal to not hit it "exactly", same in the real plane. But when at crz, in the real plane it simply gets deleted. Tuning of these kind of functions will ensue shortly (after fixing the gizmo softcrashes) Thanks again, Jan

Well, nothing is impossible Jan

Thanks, gentlemen - we are working on the bugs as we type, and have already stacked up a nice load again... Not sure when we will do the next fix, so don´t quote me on this ,but I am thinking more days rather than weeks. Jan

Spot on. Jan

Just the FMC display wasn´t updated in the last update - if the config menu shows 1.0.2, you are good to go Jan

Xander, what is wrong with the anti-skid? There is no real anti-skid in X-Plane, unfortunately... You will get the smoke and the squealing if you stomp on the brakes. Jan

The light on the left side doubles as the "emergency exit light" - it will shine whenever the emergency exit light switch is armed (and no power on the AC buses) or when it is on. In a previous version, it was defaulted to "arm" for cold+dark, this was not correct. It would drain the battery over night... So now, flip the guard down to get it going - or use the flashlight, or the dome light. Jan

Hi Peter, the ability to save them was removed, but you can certainly load them. You can make them with a simple text editor, or dedicated output software. I think its explained in the docs. Jan

Hi, and thanks for the great reports - everyone, keep em coming. We want to get this polished and gleaming. Some stuff might take a while to get to, but we catalogue everything. Descent forcast page is a placeholder and has no effect right now. More to come. Jump to .84 is fixed in next update A LOT of VNAV descent tuning yet to come - this is the stuff that will get fixed in that Ok, will try to take a look - have to maybe get the NOAA plugin - but VNAV climb is using the very same logic that FL CHG is (with a different speed source, of course) I think you would actually be able to, depending on environmental conditions (747s do, all the time, but with a stronger APU) - but it´s really tough on the APU Future tuning Future tuning Known, will take a bit to fix Cheer, Jan

Greaser! Well done! Jan

Actually, #2 is our fault - when I did the videos, we still had a little inaccuracy going - the numbers over the engine instruments are only shown, if you are setting your N1 limit "manually" (pull out the grey knobs on the bottom of the EIS to get that going)... so in normal operation, you shouldn´t see any numbers there. Jan

Fixed for next update... you did nothing wrong

And there will also be an output of FPA on the DESCENT page (once we get that working)...

It is actually a different issue (braking effectiveness vs differential braking effect), but your complaint will be fixed in the next update (tweak to yaw-effect of differential braking). I do recomend (as do the airlines!) to use the autobrake for slowing down, only using the rudder to steer. Most people will not be able to brake symmetrically (I still can´t after 20 years), leading to too much brake on one side, with deflected pedals to the other side - resulting in overheating brakes on one side. Some people say that this is attributed to driving a stick-shift car, where the left foot is conditioned to stomp on the clutch, and the right foot is more sensitive with brakes and gas... Jan

Ach so! A tip - fly to the IAF, then push LNAV (this will disengage LNAV and you will enter the fallback state "CWS R"). Now enter a slight bank, maybe 10 degrees by pushing your joystick to the side. the plane will just keep flying circles until you engage another roll mode. If you have no wind, this will keep you circling over the same spot... Jan

While I in no way want to downplay the importance of the HOLD function, may I inquire what is stopping you from doing your approach preparation while you are enroute to your airport? Or - if you do a very short flight - just to enter two random waypoints in your LEGs page so the airplane flies back and forth? Jan

Ok - I will look into making a list for those, then. It will probably not be inlcuded until we do the first "real" patch, though. Off the top of my head (for now, reboot gizmo before flying a new flight, we will fix this in a bit, so it is not necessary anymore) Turn on fuel pumps, if now needed (after adding more fuel to CTR tank, for example) Turn on Fasten Belts signs again Reset Cabin Controller (Set new FLT ALT and LANDING ALT) Set up MCP (new values for departure) Set up FMS (Routing, performance, etc.) Set up EFIS and NavAids That should get you going... Jan

No, when in a transit-stop, only a few of those items are done (like resetting the cabin controller with the values for the next flight, re-programming the FMS, setting up the Navaids, etc.) Jan I cant check right now, but did you look in our documentation, Pilot Handbook, Normal Procedures? There should be a list...
