  1. Using SkyMaxx Pro's volumetric clouds with X-Plane 11.51, my FPS goes from high thirties to low forties while flying low over Orbx London scenery (lots of clouds) in the Rotate MD-80, but the flight is very smooth. My system is an i9 9900K running at 4700MHz with an RTX 2080 Ti and 1440p monitor. Keep up the good work.

  3. TorqueSim and X-Aviation are excited to announce the release of the Turbine Islander this Friday (January 29th)! We’re pleased to finally present our rendition of the BN-2T to you. What began as a simple conversion grew into a completely new aircraft. This is the culmination of efforts spanning nearly four months, including updates to the 3d model, textures, texture mapping, FMOD sound pack, plugins, flight model, and many more small fixes and changes. If you enjoyed the BN-2, you’ll find the turbine version an absolute joy to fly! You can see our preview flight of the aircraft here! Many of the upgrades built for the 2T will also find their way into our BN-2 in the near future in the form of update 1.2. We very much look forward to sending that out as well. Regarding pricing and release logistics: The TorqueSim BN-2T Turbine Islander will be available for $34.95 Everyone who has purchased the BN-2B through Thursday (Jan 28, 11:59pm EST) will be eligible for promotional pricing, bringing the price to $19.95 (43% off!). A coupon code will be emailed on Friday which will be valid for 60 days. A bundle will be available containing the BN-2B and BN-2T for $54.95 All prices are in USD. Here are some other great screenshots showcasing the new visuals! More photos can be seen here.

  4. Hi Jan, first of all, thanks for the quick reply, really appreciated. I'll check the XPUIPC version. And of course the second proposal, although I can hardly believe it is this one, as I have already checked the AT being disactivated and I can not even move the throttle to align virtual and real ones. I'll keep you posted on the outcome. Cheers, Markus

  5. Hi, I just flew to Trondheim where it currently is -11 °C. Since it's already visually modeled, are there any plans to actually include an engine preheater?

  6. Just an update - I fixed the issue with RWC not showing up in the SMP menu. I deleted the Gizmo64 plugin folder, then reinstalled SMP and RWC using the Gizmo64 Stable option versus Beta (which I had done before). This seemed to reinitiate the X-Aviation licensing and now it is showing up. Once I re-entered my licensing information and restarted X-Plane, clouds are showing up and everything is working. I also noted that Skymaxx was loading metar.rwx followed by fsgrwsmp.rwx. The fsgrwsmp.rwx was located in my X-Plane folder as I had previously tried FS Global Real Weather and opted to return to using Active Sky XP. However, with that remnant fsgrwsmp.rwx file and the fact that RWC is set up to allow FSGRW / ASXP together, the fsgrwsmp.rwx file kept hijacking my weather, which was why no clouds were showing up (based on the fsgrwsmp.rwx contents) when the X-Plane weather was showing stormy. A suggestion for RWC - perhaps split out the selections as separate for FSGRW and ASXP, with the FSGRW pointing to the fsgrwsmp.rwx file and the ASXP option pointing to the metar.rwx file. That would prevent this from happening. Regards, Derek

  9. yes Litjan I will do it .... thanks, as you said the FMC needs to go through a review in VNAV mode until then I will continue to have fun with this beautiful classic aircraft whether flying interacting in the MCP manually with failure or without failure the important thing is to simulate. Greetings and thanks you are always considerate here on the forum.

  10. It is hard for me to tell what problem you are actually suffering from. Entering restrictions into the LEGS page should mostly work, although the plane will often not meet them in VNAV. The file "This is Aerosoft.txt" file should not matter if you updated your navdata correctly with Navigraph data. It is not read by the code. We are currently rewriting the vertical navigation code, this should make the plane adhere to restrictions, both from the database and also from user entry. For now I would suggest not adding/changing any restrictions and just achieving them with selected autopilot modes (vertical speed or flightlevel change). Cheers, Jan

  11. In addition to the VNAV work we have also these fixes lined up for the next update: Improvements * Added switch in aircraft file to always force experimental flight model on * Improved tracking ability of nosewheel in tight turns (less skidding) * A "direct to" turn will not attempt to re-intercept the line between current aircraft position and the waypoint * Yoke checklist can now be flipped up and down and yellow bug goes all the way to top again * Added a dataref to indicate if autothrottle is active or not * Added a preference to "pause on Top of Descent" Bug fixes * Fixed right-hand windshield wiper 3D * Fixed fuel gauge testcycle * Fixed leading-edge devices lighttest button * Fixed EGT needle on steam gauges not going higher than 800C * Fixed hydraulic accumulator pressure on modern gauges always showing full pressure * Autopilot trim cutout switches will now also stop the speed trim * Scavange pump will not trigger unless a center-tank pumpswitch has been turned on then off * Animated stopwatch buttons * Vertical speed scrollwheel can now turn "infinitely" (instead of running against an invisible turn limit) Cheers, Jan

  13. If the vertical modes aren't working try to adjust the target altitude ("ALTITUDE SET") even slightly. They should start to work.
