  1. I've said it more times than I care to count. The update is coming. We are up to beta 7, and there is more in the update than just the airac fix.

  2. Captains, We're excited to announce both a project and release date here in one evening. In a few short hours (Saturday, Midnight Eastern Daylight Time) we will be releasing the classic Fairchild PT-19! As a launch day special the aircraft will be discounted 17% for the first 72 hours only! Product page is here and released! It's a popular World War II primary trainer aircraft that's perfect to get your VFR flying and aircraft operation skills tested! Don't let this simple looking aircraft fool you. It's packed with features, including a mechanical wear down of the engine, oil, fuel, and full persistence state tracking. It remembers everything as you left it when you last used the aircraft, down to the cowling screws! This aircraft goes beyond being a basic aircraft in X-Plane and will be a fun challenge even in the startup process. In addition to the persistence tracking and maintenance care, It also features a fully working and interactive carburetor. You can tinker with the throttle, mixture, and idle throttle for the very first time and see all of the interaction! TrueVintage With TrueVintage, you can feel the aircraft getting older as you fly her! Not only its systems get wear and tear depending on how you fly, but also physically see the the aircraft accumulating dust, leaking oil, getting its dope varnish crackled down, and the occasional bug splatters on the windscreen. Personal Mechanic Take care of your airplane by calling "Jerry", your personal mechanic, and arranging the repairs needed. If you want a crisp aircraft on the outside at all times, you can absolutely keep her shiny by ringing Jerry! To get you acquainted, here's a fun startup video: And, we can't leave you hanging with out a few more screenshots! We'll see you in a few hours for the release!

  3. This one supposedly includes a texture for dirty wings, which you can apply separately to all your liveries. https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/33690-ixeg-737-czech-airlines-classic/

  4. As Homer Simpon says, "D'Oh!" Genius Goran! - not sure when I moved the X-Plane radios slider to off but that was it!

  5. Hi thanks for the response. I will have a look. Haven't had time to delve into the manual fully yet so was not aware. Though, some sort of response in-sim would be great. I take the Hotstart TBM900 as an example in that you can see in-sim the level of component wear. Even a message to say i.e. "Maintenance records updated, see logbook for details" or similar would be advantageous.

  7. Thank you both for your answers. I will try out the update as soon as possible. Btw... @Uncle Jack Simulations, you created one of the best addons available for X-Plane. Looking forward to the future of your project.

  8. The uninstall and re-install process will preserve your settings. Therefore, when updating everything should be back to where it was before without you needing to do anything or save any files.

  9. Hi everyone, I have a quick question. Will I loose my collected bug splatters and the other True Vintage stuff when updating from v1.01 to 1.02? If so, is there a file to back up or something?

  10. Thank you, Speed!! YES, this is great material for anyone looking into aerobatics on the PT-19, and development also relied on it for some specific airfoil tunings Again, thank you! Respectfully, Dan.

  11. If you get the version thats out now, you get V2 at a substantial discount. If you don't get the one that's available now, you'll pay full price for V2. Either way, it'll work out to be about the same price.

  12. Ok. Here's the official word. The big update will be a paid update for current customers, but it won't be full price. It will have more features than the current version that is available in the store. It will have more systems modelled (working circuit breakers being 1 of them, as part of a newly coded electrical system. However, this is dependant on us getting our hands on the electrical schematics) 100% new art assets. (3D mesh, PBR textures, lighting) Improved flight model (The flight model is likely the only thing that will not be done from the ground up.) If you can find out where you got this information, I would be very interested in visiting this site and finding out more about the person saying these things.

  13. "I did a little research and found that version 2 will be required to run with Vulkan and this will be treated as a new product rather than an upgrade from X-Aviation." V2 will be an upgrade. Not a new product.
