  1. This! X Plane is an amazing simulator and I honestly plan on running both. People don’t realize that wishing Xplane would die in favor of msfs 2020 is like Goran said counter-productive. healthy competition and options is good for our hobby.

  2. Definitely not the normal size. Have you tried increasing the resolution of the window?

  3. Hi Jan, Thank you. After rotation I push the joystick forward, as smoothly as possible, nothing too aggressive, but so far I haven't been able to prevent the nose form reaching up to 30 degs, it happens too fast. Makes for a rather inelegant takeoff, compared say to the Zibo 738 or the FF 767... Yes, CG is 20% and I now fly rather heavier than before, I make the GW around 120K-LBS. Helps a little, as I mentioned. I will try flying the 733 today with 'Experimental Flight Model' on ((it has been 'off' so far) and post back as to whether that helps.

  4. Version 1.0.0

ITX-D Lights Controls, gives you the control of X-Plane night lighting in a very intuitive way. By dragging the sliders you will be able to achieve the result you want, live. Also includes a custom lights.txt file with bigger light coverage. FPS impact in most cases will be one, or very minor. REQUIREMENTS: FlyWithLua INSTALLATION: Unzip the downloaded file into X-Plane 11 folder. Will request to overwrite the default lights.txt file. Note: In case of an update, the updater would like to overwrite the file with the default one. Don't allow to do it, or after update, re-install this utility. USAGE: Go to Plugins -> FlyWithLua -> FlywithLua Macros and click on the ITX-D Lights Controls. A window will pop up (as seen in the images) to set the values you like. Once you are happy with the results, click the Save Settings button to save the settings. From now on X-Plane will load with those settings, automatically. Note: Using extreme values, will drop fps significantly and make the output unrealistic. Use with care! Strongly recommended to use with Extended Night Lighting, as seen in the images below. ]

  5. Thanks Jan for taking the time to explain that to me! Hugely appreciated! I'm going to give it a run a few times until I'm confident in my calculations and then maybe put together an app or spreadsheet that will give read outs in the ball park.

  6. Hi @LKN! I hope there are enough of us asking about this issue to have the devs seriously consider adding this back into the model. It was there at the release but did not last long. I don't think the devs were that keen about "adjusting" the P factor but here we are.

  7. Thank you! I wish you have an anwser... Last time I did ask was on June 22th so that nobody can say that we are not patient. It's not asking for the moon but just to put this effect back for the sake of realism which is supposed to be the philosophy of Hot Start, am I wrong?

  8. Yes, I have an issue in our gitHub for enhancing this... we may be able to do this on the avitab, for example. Cheers, Jan

  9. We're not interested in anyone else's opinion about which sim is the "best" one. This isn't reddit. You deserve to have your opinion respected about which sim is right for YOU. And you deserve to enjoy whatever you want to enjoy, without argument. Exactly the same way that every single one of us, flight simmers and developers, deserves to be respected for which sim right for US. No matter if it's X-Plane, FS2020, Aerofly, DCS or Flight Gear. Screaming "X-Plane will die..." is so counter-productive, it's a joke. It only discourages more of us from even considering trying FS2020. It also discourages X-Plane developers from making add ons for FS2020. Enjoy your sim! No one is stopping you. Let the X-Plane community enjoy X-Plane.
