  3. Hey there, Recently updated from 11.41 to 11.50b6 - everything seems to be working fine with the sim and all addons / plugins. Only Skymaxx is giving me a hard time atm. In VC or close to the aircraft i get this strange effect looking at clouds (pic 1). As soon as i move away from the plane the effect is gone. (pic 2) I have also tried installing skymaxx with a complete new clean install of x11.50b6 to check if any config or other plugin is causing this. Only happens with 4.9.2. regardless of whihc sky or cloud set i select. Also changes in AA dont help. Shadows are set to 4096 Any suggestions, just recently bought smp / rwc with fsgrw Thanks * Edit - did some more trouble shooting, seems it happens also with a clean install of xplane but only with addon aircraft. IXEG, FlightFactor Zibo etc. doesnot happen with default planes

  5. SkyMaxx does not utilize Lua, so what you're stating isn't really the case. Anything you have that uses SASL, FlyWithLua, etc is also included in that 2GB pool. But, that's only in regards to LUA, which doesn't mean X-Plane itself is limited to 2GB for the entire sim. That said, I suppose if your LUA allotment really is being eaten up, then you could potentially hit a CTD. Fore instance, quick glance shows you do have SASL in the pool: [FIELDNOISE_WELCOMETOPRIPYAT INFO]: Starting X-Plane SASL plugin v3.1.2+d19f937 [FIELDNOISE_WELCOMETOPRIPYAT INFO]: FieldNoise_WelcomeToPripyat | Global | StartFull Loaded: Custom Scenery/Skyline Simulations KLGB Long Beach/plugins/SASLFree/64/win.xpl (1-sim.com FieldNoise_WelcomeToPripyat #4). Have you tried with a fresh demo install of X-Plane and Gizmo64/IXEG only installed for good measure?

  6. Please know that X-Plane.org has NOTHING to do with Laminar. Bug reports should always be filed here: https://dev.x-plane.com/support/bugreport.html

  7. It’s tough to say, I think turbulence is modeled a bit better in ASXP, other than that it’s probably similar to default weather.... But both should present more than three layers when used in conjunction with Real Weather Connector....

  8. from what X-Plane could give us right now in weather ( including all restrictions and bad weather engine ) i think SkyMaxx is the only honest addon that works with X-Plane. And i used the word "honest" as makes exactly what represents, no volumetric fake promises, bad optimizations,Impressive clouds with huge fps traps behind etc... Cloud art is very good freeware alternative 2d cloud addon but has nothing to do with Skymaxx. My main issue right now is that is not working 100% with Active Sky (compared with Fsgrw.).

  10. I was wondering - is there a possibility in the new version to have an option for a realistic Yoke height? I use VR and it always bugs me that the yoke position just looks wrong in the sim - I understand the reasons for placement, but is it possible to make it an option, like the steam gauges? Thanks in advance, James

  11. Edit: Sorry, just noticed reply from jfjoubert Hi Jim, Please check this and see if you can add X-Plane folder to the AVG exclusions: https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlname=Mac-AVG-AntiVirus-FAQ "How do I exclude files or folders from scanning in AVG AntiVirus or AVG Internet Security?" You can specify if you want certain files, folders, or servers to be excluded from AVG scans. To set up exceptions: 1. Click AVG AntiVirus or AVG Internet Security in your menu bar, then select Preferences... from the context menu. 2. Select the Exceptions tab. 3. Click a shield in the left panel to select it. 4. Click the lock in the bottom-left corner of the window, enter your system administrator credentials, and click OK to grant permission for the changes. 5. Click the + (plus) symbol to add a file, folder, or server to the exceptions list. 6. Navigate to the file or folder you want to exclude and click Open, or enter a server name and select the relevant service from the expandable menu, then click Add. Your exception is now configured. To remove an exception, select an item to highlight it, then click the - (minus) symbol.
