  1. Hello All, This will serve as a formal forum announcement that we have released the version 1.1.9 update for the TBM 900. All customers who have purchased the TBM 900 up till now have been sent an e-mail by X-Aviation with complete instructions on how to obtain your update. We have made this a very simple process! For those that purchase the TBM 900 from today forward, your purchased download will already be updated to version 1.1.9 for you. What if I didn't get the update e-mail? If you did not receive your update e-mail don't fret! X-Aviation has updated our system to allow all customers to update with ease, regardless of whether you received an e-mail for the update! Here's what to do: 1. Login to your X-Aviation account here: https://www.x-aviation.com/catalog/account_history.php 2. Find your original TBM 900 download and re-download the file. It will download as the latest version! The following is a list of additions/fixes included: What's New / Changed: Improvements / New Features: New ground steering model to put an end to the unstable takeoffs & landings. Implemented GPU rental costs. Added hand-towing option to the sidebar drawer. XP11.30 engine changes during startup to produce a lower startup ITT spike. Added inertial separator transition sounds. Pressing TIMER on the yoke automatically brings up the TMR/REF page. AviTab support integrated into yoke-mounted tablet. Tablet now stows in the door pocket. You can still use the USB ports to summon it, but this will be removed in a future update. Reworked pressurization schedule. The system will now gradually change the cabin pressure target as we are nearing the destination, instead of going to it immediately on takeoff. Pressurization won't fling open the OFV fully on landing, but modulate until equalization has been achieved. Corrected high-altitude performance to be within +-2 knots of POH tablets. Implemented configuration-dependent KIAS errors to match POH values. Implemented sidebar drawer smooth animation. AOA sensor failure separated out from AHRS and now individually settable in "Edit Failures" window. Visual configurations window now includes option to use older custom heatblur effect. Expired databases show in amber on MFD splash screen. Replaced G1000 manual link with one for the TBM850 & TBM900. Bugfixes: Battery recharge button in maintenance manager was incorrectly disabled. Restructured battery voltage drop with load to give more realistic red battery voltage indications during start. Fixed CAS message pixel alignment issues. GPH indication on EICAS should properly respond when moving into or out of CUTOFF. Electronic checklist was asking for "FUEL SEL" to OFF in a few places, when it should have called for MAN instead. Gear wear was using incorrect sideslip computation. Rudder propwash force correction could end up taking reverse thrust into account, when it shouldn't. Fixed missing pitot & static covers Low-fuel instability wasn't powerful enough. Fixed prop overspeed on reverse with slow forward motion. Workaround for ReShade bug causing hang in its OpenGL hooks DLL. ODB was missing minimum download speed clamp to abort if the download is slow. Don't try removing the odb directory if it didn't exist to avoid a spurious error log message. glutils drawing wasn't properly disabling vertex arrays, leading to potential crash. As always, thanks for being a customer with X-Aviation. We appreciate your feedback and support! Enjoy these latest updates, and stay tuned to the forum as we continually announce the latest happenings.

  2. There is one more important thing to know about "crossfeeding": If you open the crossfeed but have BOTH sides pumps on, fuel will not get evenly burned from both tanks. You would think so - and inititally this was also how the big, official "Level D" simulators that we used for training had it. But they found out in the real aircraft that - since pressures are never EXACTLY the same, the "stronger" side will COMPLETELY "take over". So you yould see that fuel only gets used from one tank, even if all pumps are on and the crossfeed is open. So just like mmerelles said: If you have an imbalance, open crossfeed, turn off the pumps in the tank with less fuel. We used to say "less fuel, less pressure" to memorize this. THEN you need to set a reminder (I used to clip the tip of my tie to the card-holder clip on the yoke! ) because its easy to get distracted and then you suddently have reversed your imbalance. We used to call this "fuel yo-yo" . Cheers, Jan

  3. Hi I must say with the new update the ground handling is much better. Thanks guys for correcting this. For me most of my breakages has been from crashing on takeoffs or landings.

  5. There is actually a custom filter for PBR which gives an indication on whether something is too black or too white, and the blacks are well within the range of acceptable black. But it's not always the color. It could also be the reflective properties adding glare when the sun hits the texture, resulting in brightened blacks. In any case, I'll experiment a little more and see what I can come up with.

  7. Perfect!! Been flying this one for about a month now but had to give it a break due to frustrating ground handling. Now take-offs are a breeze. Cross-wind landings = FUN. Also very much appreciate the disappearance of the ITT spike during start-up. And with avitab integration, this will easily become my go-to GA plane. Thanks so much! Cheers

  8. Guys you are awesome! You nail it! Now take off is how it suppose to be! I know sometimes it is frustrating to wait for update, but it was totally worth it. Thank you for listening!

  9. We may have reached perfection here I was still struggling a little with the higher crosswind landings even after 200+ hours but that is all in the past. Thank you.

  10. There is a miss conception i presume. Cross feed valve is not meant to pass fuel one tank to the other but to selectively burn fuel from one side tank to feed the other side engine fuel lines if required. I you want to balance the tanks, you open the cross feed valve as you did and you turn OFF the AC fuel pumps for the left side tank in your case (experiencing lower qty), so the right side tank ac pumps will pressurize/feed left & right engine via the cross feed. Once enough fuel from the right tank is burnt and both balanced, you turn back to ON left tank AC fuel pumps, close cross feed, to resume normal operation Hope this clarifies.

  11. yes, super simple to install is my motto. I had used interactive solutions, but it was very heavy to install, maintain, program and use ! And were payware. So I went coding myself my own simple-to-use copilot. My copilot is simply the best free-to-use, easy-to-use, official procedures-compliant and helping copilot you can find. My copilot has got more than 5000 downloads, all versions mixed. Almost 1000 for the IXEG copilot. it's called Speedy Copilot for IXEG 737 Classic in the Speedy Copilot series. Installation is a two-stepper : 1) Drop that into X-Plane Ressources/plugins directory 2) Drop that into \X-Plane 11\Resources\plugins\FlyWithLua\Scripts\ done. All the best, Speedy Copilot_5.pdf

  12. I've already lightened the switches to be more easily seen. I can work with them a bit more, but we're getting into "grey" territory if I do. So in the shadows, they'll be dark and visible, but when daylight hits them, they'll be very washed out. I can work with them a little, but no promises.
