  1. It WILL be fixed, but it's a little lower on the priorities list. Still a few other small issues some people are seeing (exception handler errors being one of them) that need to be addressed.

  2. Hi Guys, I ran into a similar problem yesterday in my work for Laminar. A user reported that the de-ice gauge in the default Baron was not working. Philipp (from Laminar) reworked the ice systems for 11.30. I spoke to him yesterday and here is the story... In the past the "boot" dataref was aliased to the wing_heat command. X-Plane didn't really model boot de-icing at all. That has all changed in 11.30. We now have true boot de-icing as a separate system. This will require updates to aircraft that relied on the the old wing_heat command to trigger the boots. We will incorporate a fix for this in the 1.5.2 update. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  3. Is it long before we can have the rain and ice effects in vr? Been waiting since release of this aircraft. I see alot of 3th p Aircrafts are using this rain effect now but none of them supports it in vr. Thats sad

  4. I started a World Tour using TBM 900 and flying only using VR . It been an amazing learning experience. I started in Alaska and plan to visit every continent (minus Antarctica). Usually doing 1 ~ 2 flights a week. The flights are tracked ProjectFly https://app.projectfly.co.uk/app/#/profile/simssmith I created a Pinterest board with the pictures https://www.pinterest.com/simssmith1/flight-sim-world-tour/north-america/ For me the key to success is simplicity. I pack very light. What that means is starting a trip to be quick and hassle free possible. Here are my tools 1) Default X-Plane and no custom airport 2) No ortho4xp, No HD Mesh, or no custom scenery / airport 3) Live Traffic plugin basically zero configuration to fill the skies. 4) Pilot2ATC for full world coverage and flight planing 5) ProjectFly to keep track of my tour It is amazing how good some of these default airports are.

  5. The defaults are all triggering the incorrect type of ice protection (all electric) which is why that is so effective and the saab's boots are not. It's definitely laminar (i reported it to them anyway), the boots are completely ineffective up until the aircraft is about to stall, real boots shed even thin layers of ice.

  6. Holding: to be able to fly it manualy is one thing. For a RW Pilot + CO, probably peanuts. For the average single seater airmchair pilot in an online enviroment like Vatsim/Ivao/PilotEdge on a busy day/airport or FlyIn, Tough task !! You definetly don't want to bust that one. ;-) So, we poooor Simmer pilots like to have that piece of automation handy (at least) Patiently waiting for that update and feature to come. (same for a improved VNAV) Regards Oliver Zibo 738, a different story oc, but it has all these features and gimmicks and is a real joy to fly in above mentioned enviroment ... It is one of my two "go to" aircrafts for this and not the IXEG (which i'd rather love to fly)
