  1. Thanks Jan - I'll follow up with them. Do you know which API you use to show/hide the menu, so they can check if that one is behaving properly? Appreciate the feature request. I'll take a picture from the cockpit later, I think you agree it looks silly to be in your 3 projector full size sim with a part of a popup just in the middle of the scenery. Thanks,

  2. My guess is that the stratus layer you set up was very thin - if you make it thicker, say at least 1000 meters, it would probably look more realistic.

  3. Ah, let's ignore him & not have people like him spoil the party . Goran, you & the LES team are doing a fantastic job, and not just on the Saab. Just to extend that a bit, Cameron I highly appreciate how XA is handling update policies. All products I ever bought here have been supported and updated for free for much longer than I experienced with most other XP developers. Big thanks for this, you're really creating value here.

  4. No. I still use windowed mode during development. It's under the selection of your monitor resolution within X-Plane.

  6. It's not so much that the installers in general are a nightmare, but the backstory is that the Saab installer was originally coded in 2013 and at the time was our most advanced installer code to leverage some attempted load balancing on the server, as well as keeping track of file differences and updates. At the time it seemed like a great idea, but in reality it was a terrible idea that I didn't see coming as time progressed. Keeping track of all these variants and the file updates between them, as well as the many gigabytes of data became tedious in the way the installer is coded, and it caused headaches not only for distribution, but also for people like Goran when we would discover some files were not properly updated between variants at update release times. Over the years new installer formats have been developed because of this. Products like IXEG, the MU-2, and pretty much any other recent release contains the more up-to-date installer routines. The Saab needs some love to move to this system so we can future proof release delays going forward on it. At the moment it's not top priority over a couple of other projects that are first in line, but as soon as those are out of the way the focus will switch to this and bringing it all up to speed. We need to leverage our time spent on projects appropriately to balance business cash flow for all involved. We'll get there, just not yet.

  7. This happens if SMP is told to create unnaturally thick stratus clouds, and you've set SMP's stratiform representation setting to solid overcast. From what I gather, this tends to happen with the NOAA weather plugin. So - you can switch to a different weather source, or switch to a different stratiform setting in SMP to avoid this.

  9. Delete theses files and update your license; X-Plane / X-Aviation / license_db.bin X-Plane / X-Aviation / marker.1

  10. Hi, it is not "out of line and sense of entitlement", its called customer observation/opinion and customer is always right. Also no one told you to give the update for free. You want money for hard work no problem you want to give it for free thank you. So next time don't announce an update until Cameron says the package is about ready to head out as he has limited resources, it will look better on you guys IMO. Talking about stressful moments, in my line of work i have them about every day NOC engineer.
