The main holdup right now is we are waiting for a Gizmo update from X-Aviation, and as you know this development is out of our control! The main developer of Gizmo was struck by a big flood in Australia recently and still is more or less without internet/power as he lives in a very remote area down there. So basically "Force Majeure".... v 1.1 is more or less ready to go from our side and has been for a while. So once XA gets the new Gizmo version up and running things should move pretty fast. We are as impatient as all of you are, but there is not a lot we can do atm but wait. I also would like to remind everyone that unlike many other teams, we are updating from XP 10 to XP11 for FREE! How many big FSX developers have given free updates when moving to P3D (which is comparable from a developer point of view)? Not many - I think....? M3 points

I think there is some sort of missinformation you are receiving about the bird status. The aircraft FMC works LNAV and VNAV, you can complete an entire flight based on the FMC VNAV/LNAV capabilities with no issues, have speed and alt restrictions, etc. etc. This how i do operate the aircraft being offline all the time until i am 1000 to 2000ft for the runway and i put A/P, A/T off for landing. When i do fly online on PE network i climb and/or descend via SID/STAR procedure or vía VECTORS/ALTITUDES call outs coming from ATC to comply. So what is all this posts about. -LNAV, you may experience a simulation softcrash on some scenarios mainly if you perform changes to the route plan inflight. Lets say you programmed your route and once airborne you start switching procedures, editing waypoints, deleting things, changing destination airports, etc. Under those complex coding scenarios the simulation code is not solid enough and may crash. A big improvement for managing those scenarios is expected for upcoming release 1.1 -VNAV, some airport procedures (specially STAR procedures) includes very complex set of orders for speeding and altitude constraints mixed together that may be also tight to several waypoints in sequence. Under this complex scenarios VNAV simulation may fail to determine/compute a valid VNAV profile providing unexpected altitudes, etc. (i.e. when the procedures calls for Above and Bellow order for a waypoint), etc. BUT if you as a pilot review the VNAV profile once computed and edit speeding/altitudes on the legs page for those critical cases before departure VNAV will handle the approach with no trouble at all. So this is not about the aircraft not having LNAV/VNAV available, the FMC has both and they work. But if you are inflight and try change/update your flight plan this could lead to issues as of now as the simulation code still requires fine tuning. Under those circumstances i would recommend switching to HDG/FLCH/VS modes to comply do not try to do FMC porgramming micro-managment close to your destination airport. Now... hand flying this bird during takeoff and landing operation is years light ahead of anything. This thing behaves like an aircraft, you can actually feel the weight under different load configurations, how the aircraft responds under different flaps, trim, yoke input is simply amazing. Hydraulics, Electrical systems, sounds, graphical quality, factor of immersion is lights years ahead as well. just my 2 cents.2 points

What appears easy is not always so. Ground drifting is an exact example of such a thing. This was a six year long project pre release. I don't buy the "handing over a silver platter" argument. For those of you having trouble understanding or refusing to read this topic throughly: The 737 is not officially supported by IXEG in X-Plane 11. You use it there at your own risk, with no support or expectation of it working correctly. Some people have got it working in X-Plane 11 to their satisfaction, others do not. We do not advertise X-Plane 11 compatibility and if you only choose to use it in 11 we are not encouraging your purchase. The upcoming 1.1 patch will have (as Jan has previously put it) "ninja fixes" which will allow for basic working compatibility in X-Plane 11. This means things like drift MAY be solved, but the solution would be a hack rather than accurate until you find IXEG officially announcing XP 11 support. The reason for things like this is because the 737 uses custom ground handling modeling to compensate for X-Plane's lacking quality there. Austin has fussed with this code in 11, and the drift is a direct result of that. Flight model inaccuracies are likely present in 11 as well for the 737. So, all that said, 1.1 will likely get you working in 11 without hassle, but from a technical accuracy standpoint version 10 is where you'll want to be if that's important to you. There's been far too much complaining and mincing of words in this topic. People seem to be getting lost from the official word vs what they are hearing or thinking, so this topic ends here. What I have written above is the official stance.2 points

Jan, I want to be very careful that we're not using piracy as an excuse for not finishing this airplane. $75 is not easy cash, and you guys asked for quite a bit of money for an unfinished airplane. A lot of people trusted IXEG, and I don't care what software you release, you will ALWAYS have pirates, it's part of the game (I'm a dev as well). The real problem here is that I believe IXEG released their 737 for commercial release before it ever should have been in my opinion. You guys are trying to deliver more than you can ever handle within a reasonable timeline. Using pirating as an excuse for not finishing the airplane is not fair to us that have spent hard earned cash on this project. That is the truth in my opinion. Best, Nader2 points

I'm not sure if these comments are done with authentic malice or is it just plain ignorance of the 13 preceeding pages of explaination of the IXEG team. I sincerely hope that for each of these people there are at least ten more like us who understand what's going on here. I admire your patience, IXEG folks. I would've closed the thread long ago.2 points

I feel it's one of the best aircraft you can get for X-Plane 10, if not the best. However, as mentioned the FMC is buggy, so I don't use LNAV/VNAV. I'm a bit sad about this, because if you look at the other areas of the plane, it's very well modeled. I'm talking about flight modeling, 3D stuff, systems and overall immersion. So I think it really depends on what you are looking for. If you want to reproduce daily airline-life (which is boring, anyway!! ) , until now (and very unfortunate) I don't recommend. But if you are up for some hand-jockeying of a real pilots aircraft and do some traffic patterns or VOR hopping, go for it. There is a lot to learn. It's challenging to fly precise, but it's very rewarding once you've mastered it. Good fps too.1 point

I am actually in agreement with some of your statements. When we released the plane, it was not "complete". We tried to shed a light on this with this post http://forums.x-pilot.com/forums/topic/8526-things-that-are-not-going-to-be-in-v10/ . I have tried to be upfront about the shortcomings of the product at the time of release - this was not without debate in the team! It is not normal to highlight the shortcomings of your product in this industry, and if you look at the product description of other add-ons and compare that with the actual product released, you may find some discrepancies there, too . At the time of release we faced the decision to either release (and fix the shortcomings later on) or to stop work on it altogether. I think that the plane, even in it´s current status, does carry value. At least that is what the majority of user feedback indicates to us. It was our intention (and my belief) that the team would be able to provide fixes to shortcomings and the missing items in a more timely manner. I personally feel disappointed about this myself. I can say for myself that I worked in support of the 737 continously in the last 12 months - but I am not a programmer or a 3D artist, so I have to rely on the part of the team in charge of that. Morten stated correctly that the patch 1.1 for XP10 has been done (for several weeks now). I have also completed the interim "compatibility patch" for XP11, including the flight-model adjustments. We have not added the new "material properties" (again, I can´t do that with my lack of 3D-skills), but the plane flies (and taxis!) in XP11 just as well as it does in XP10. We are waiting for Ben and X-Aviation to deliver the new Gizmo version (as Morten mentioned) so we can get the patch to you. It is not in the IXEG´s team´s hands, and hopefully Ben is up to speed again soon after getting hit with the flood to clear this milestone and then we can progress. Jan1 point

couldn't you guys do a quick 1.1 preview video to stop this dead project/team rubbish. it would probably bring some good vibes into this whole discussion1 point

I can understand the disappointment and the need to vent it. I would probably feel the same way. We like to maintain an open channel, though. And of course, we value the customers who paid and acknowledge the fact that THEY didn´t do piracy or sharing. I am not saying there won´t be a patch for XP10, and I am not saying there will be no compatibility patch for XP11. But I can´t say, when. And nothing really has changed, in that regard. Jan1 point

No, the project is certainly not dead - but I would say we are at a stage where the speed of progress is too variable to make any predictions. I (and most likely the majority of the team) agree on a good business opportunity lost with the current level of excitement for XP11, but it is what it is. Making money is not everything in life, everyone in the team has their own motivations and agendas and they all come into play in a joint endeavour like this one. We had some setback to motivation as well, especially with the rampant pirating and sharing that happened with our product, and it certainly made some of us wonder if it is really worth our time and hard work. I make less off of the 737 each month than what it costs me to take my wife out to the movies with a dinner at a nice restaurant afterwards - just to give you some perspective. So the business aspect is certainly not that important to me . Sorry that I don´t have any more uplifting news, Jan1 point

I second this, many many people are coming to XP11 and the first thing they ask in the forums is: where do I find a good B737? I would easily tell them to get IXEG if it had no major issues with the new version of the sim, but now the best you can grab is the awesome zibo's mod. Fixing a few things with xp11 compatibility would be an immense commercial opportunity in my view (even better than releasing a full v1.1 for xp10).. But anyway let's devs make their choices and cope with the problems they are having since real life is definitely more important, good luck.1 point

I know this is not the right place to post this, but perhaps the advert on X-Aviation should be changed to clarify that the plane is not X-Plane 11 compatible (yet). Currently it only states that it is compatible with X-Plane 10. Seeing as many people looking to purchase will be new to the platform, and as such will likely only have 11... may lead to unnecessary complaints.1 point

Jan, This was a great reply. I like that you acknowledge that you guys are even having a hard time pushing an update out for XP 10. In reality (not being sarcastic), I suspect for you guys to release this XP 10 1.1 patch in 2018 (again, not being sarcastic), and I suspect XP 11 compatibility in 2019, especially at this rate. As a development Team, I believe you guys are an interesting group, you guys have a gorgeous plane, that has SO much work put into it, but it almost seems as if the dev Team is just tired of working on this bird. I understand one of your devs is experiencing a personal issue which is completely understandable, I hope the dev is ok. I think most new customers are a bit stuck because since XP 11 came out, most are switching over, but IXEG is very well focused on XP 10 (which is understandable, not your fault). I hope you understand where I believe a lot are coming from. To be fair to future buyers (like I once was), I think it would be fair if this was posted on the product description page. I would not have purchased the product if I knew it would take this long for patches. I appreciate your bluntness and openness, looking forward to one-day being able to fly the IXEG again. Best, Nader1 point

Hi Ljtian so for XP11 we have to wait another 3-4 months.... But for XP10 ?? XP10 is already in the final version and the customer like me are waiting from a long time for the famous 1.1 version..... What about it ? What about the fix correction and the new feature that you are speaking from some time? Inviato dal mio SM-G900F utilizzando Tapatalk1 point

Actually, yes. I've been dividing my time between the Saab and Citation. This last week was Citation week. I sent Jim and Cameron an in sim screenshot of the panel for QA feedback on colours and layout. Feedback was "positive", but I want to make some small adjustments, then I'll post "something", probably this weekend. If not this weekend, it'll be within a few days after that.1 point

Just because you don't see something going on doesn't mean something isn't going on. There is a team testing daily the new updates and sifting out bugs so our customers don't have to. The only people you'll find in X-Plane not doing anything as a side project as a developer would basically be Laminar themselves. Lastly, you purchased this product EIGHT DAYS AGO! This post of yours is even more ridiculous given that bit of information.1 point

I agree the question warrants an answer. I don't mind putting it out wherever I can so the word gets out. We don't know exactly when....and here's why. We all have day jobs but my particular day job is project based, rather than 9-5 based. Sometimes, these projects, being deadline based, can consume multiple months with narry any time for anything else...which is exactly what is going on at the moment. Despite my deepest desire to NOT being working on my current project, I am contractually obligated to finish it....and it is now consuming 70+ hours a week of my time and feels like "work prison". .....here's the good news though. When this project is done....and do note that I initiated this contract a good 8 months before the release of the 737..... I won't be taking on another. I will go back to the 737 and you will see the frequent updates you saw after the release as long we can find things to improve. When is this magic date? To be perfectly honest, I thought it would be by now....but sewing up final details is dragging out longer than I thought and I have no path but forward to get it out of the way and get back to the 737 for you guys. This is not an "abondonment" issue. Just the nature of the beast for x-plane devs who have to supplement the work with other forms of life support for the moment. I wish it were not so...but until x-plane has a larger market share, tis what it is. I can only assure you these folks on the team are some of the most dedicated and stable individuals I have ever worked with and have no doubt we'll be delivering again soon. -tkyler1 point

file a bug with laminar ? ... why ? no other planes have this problem.. and we pay much money so please work and give us a usable 737 , thank you !-1 points

Good to know, my only regret is to have spent a lot of money for an airplane without development team ... thank you, I will uninstall your 737 ... sadly Regards-2 points

the piracy problem is not my problem , I payed and a lot ... so please this is not an excuse for me... make your product sure it's , again , your work... Regards-2 points

I've read all the previous posts carefully, and I understand perfectly that the product is currently only compatible with XP10. But too much time has passed since the release of the latest Xp10 patch ... I would like to be wrong, but I think the development team no longer exists, or it is no longer working on the product for some time! And that would explain why today you are not able to tell when the patch will come out for XP10 and not even for XP11 ... I repeat, I would be wrong, but I'm afraid it is so!-3 points
