  1. Recently Nvidia released new drivers (364.47) that have since caused issues for many many users, most particularly those with multi monitor setups. https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/49cy4i/new_36447_driver_released_with_vulkan_support_in/That driver has been pulled and replaced by driver version 364.51 which is intended to address these reported problems and seems to work for most people. Be aware however, that some are still reporting issues even with this latest driver. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/921332/geforce-drivers/official-364-51-game-ready-whql-display-driver-feedback-thread-released-3-10-16-updated/49/Be cautious! Make a restore point before trying these out.

  2. Exactly right. While technically reading forums and posting stuff takes time (that could be used for development) it doesn´t work like that. Even coders are human beings that have other needs and desires besides coding . And if you neglect those other needs (like breathing, eating, OR partaking in forum discussions), productivity suffers. Here is my favourite example: I know the whole team enjoys the discussions (mostly) and even getting annoyed is sometimes helpful as it masks the pain of coding an FMS... Jan

  4. Guys, calm down. We're only talking about probably the by far best aircraft addon for any desktop simulator which is - hopefully - just around the corner. So nothing to get overexited in these forums

  5. If the thread is closed like you voted for, there is no room for discussion.

  6. Maybe we´re even pushing the release further away?! I don´t know if the IXEG team is "supporting" this forum in their free time? I couldn´t sleep if I know that tkyler is reading this instead of polishing the FMC code lol

  7. First post is always most important, rest is discussion and venting. That is what forums is for. There is no hate and there is no need to close any thread. Let people discuss, even if it may not be constructive, there is nothing wrong with that. For those people asking for more updates, IXEG is certainly workning hard to get their airplane to their standards, and we cannot speed up the process. It is fun with progress updates, but this is mostly for keeping up the interest and being kind revealing the dev process I guess. While waiting, calm down, don't overhype, and keep on flying with your current favourite airplanes, do not let the desire take over, it is dangerous.

  8. Do you guys (IXEG) do a daily/weekly/etc SCRUM? You could just record those with an iPhone (video or audio), and post on your blog if you wanted a better way of showing your progress/updates to potential customers I think blog posts are better for "updates" because then they have their own comment thread per video/post for questions and ongoing discussion. Waiting patiently for this plane. Looks really bad-ace.

  10. Wow. Jeez, people. I brought up a point, I wasn't spouting nonsense like the type of comment the downvote button is meant for. You could have simply discussed instead of downvoting. That's just plain rude.

  13. I confess, I took a week off and went to Germany and Zurich for some R&R. Pressing CDU buttons 1000 times a day got quite old. I am back though and we are moving through the bugs we find reasonably well. We made good strides yesterday and today I am flying several missed approaches to test CDU entries during that phase when you want to refly the approach. Yesterday we tested short routes....like 25NM short with high cruise altitudes where you can't make the cruise alt but still have to transition the aircraft from climb to descent at some "intersection point" between climb and descent paths. So these really fringe situations must be explored as they can be entered and can crash the simulation if not accounted for. So we only have a few things left, but they take quite some time to test properly as we are all finding out. Its common to fly a 25 minute flight, discover a bug, fix the bug (sometimes a simple typo, other times not) and then fly the route another 25 minutes to verify and then try a similar route somewhere else just to make sure.....so 1.5hrs of time lost to a typo. (actually happened....had a dash instead of an underscore for a variable name). And if the bug is more severe...then it can take half a day or more to track it down due to having to monitor so many variables during a flight. Oh well, we keep going. -tkyler

  15. Ben, I am not sure what you are implying by that only a small fraction of linux user will buy your addon? Is it of all the people in the world who use linux but are not sim enthusiasts? And is it the word pirate that comes into mind? Because of all linux xplane users all interested in jets will buy it, I don't know other way and that may be a few hundreds linux xplane users. If you imply pirating, then this is very ugly. Usually windows type of people come to ask for help with a pirated addons and it is very shameful when they share their logs ... Anyway, your words are so greedy and offensive that I just decided that will not buy ixeg737 though I have windows10 installed, not until it becomes crossplatform as the the xplane itself. I have lived until now without it, not big deal, we are not even sure how good it is, only advertisements and insults .... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
