Hey here is a short video showing cloud movement with SkyMAXX Pro. You will notice the cloud rotation effect has been toned down considerably using the UI....3 points

... you're just plain wrong .. Now that's just bolshoit ... ... that sounds like an *opinion* of someone who sulks when they don't get their way ...2 points

I don't think it's Tom's job to argue JAR's reputation. Whether you agree or not, Tom gave you an answer, and one I entirely agree with. First impression is everything, and what they are doing appears nothing short of amazing. Hats off to IXEG!2 points

Because this view is the minority and you can do a lot of damage to your reputation. Most folks, when spending this kind of money expect it all to just work...no surprises, no gotchas....things need to look right, feel right, work right, work as expected, etc etc and that takes quite a while. We're very much in the details stage and for those who know the adage, "The devil (or God) is in the details", then you understand that this phase drags out a while....but is the phase that makes the difference. Its what you don't normally notice that has to be right. You guys will be glad we did! TomK2 points

Ok last one for today, this shows the light-mapping in the cloud layer with lightening storms going down......Storms are set to severe just so you can see how it is integrated into the sim......2 points

Ok another one showing another important aspect of SkyMAXX Pro......yep flying with them...lol This vid shows a few things, gone is the "grey screen of death" and how substantial and realistic the clouds are over the default....2 points

Looks like Khamsin's doing a B-25 Mitchell. It'll be worth waiting for. Cameron, is this one coming X-A's way? http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=23517&page=3034#entry7668631 point

This my flight from KBOS to KJFK. It is following the tutorial flight, however I change it up at VOR CCC to work with the ILS 31R Chart from AirNav. Please enjoy.1 point

The only person who brought any mention about perfect is you. Not developers. You may say the Saab is not perfect (somehow HDR is more important than an accurate simulation and design aspect to you). You may say PMDG is not perfect. That's your right, but the important factor in this is: neither of these projects released as you suggest this to. Maybe perfection is not the goal. Completion is, and that's not for you to decide. I think it's time to give this a rest and let the topic do what it's intended to.1 point

Individually they do. All of them have put out work in their own right, so there is a reputation to go by.1 point

That's life. People need to understand that making any plane takes months and months, especially heavies. I think both IXEG and LES have done extremely well keeping us updated with progress through all these long months. Have patience.1 point

As someone who deals with more customers and users than most anyone in the market, I know you're wrong. I'll give you my take on JAR: it was a disaster. It's probably the one release I saw consistent user dissatisfaction with. Thankfully the developer has stuck with it and improved. The Saab is a perfect example of doing it right wins. There was lots of praise and appreciation when we announced delays in order to not sell customers short. If people go back to MSFS that's okay. They can always come back, and often times they do!1 point

Guys as you should know... Payware aircraft need to be fully bug-free and complete before release or they are given a bad review. Just let them work it needs to be PMDG quality (which I would say it is)to get people to cross over...1 point

Heliair G-WINR v2.0 28 Sept 2013 R22-marked floormats added as above. Also rivets have now been added. Fred's original has its rivets blended into a shiny paint layer, which I haven't found a way to separate, so the rivets have been created from scratch. http://forums.x-pilot.com/files/file/566-heliair-g-winr/1 point

No I'm talking about assigning the condition levers to my joystick. Didn't want to start a new post because this problem has been reported already. The assigning function to the 2 condition levers is done successfully ( the plugin says ASSIGNED) but one of the lever doesn't move when I move the lever on my throttle quadrant. Ah, yes, then this is no worry as it is already fixed for the upcoming update.1 point

That looks so real John ... You know, that may seems stupid but for me, that kinf of add ons are the one I anticipate the most, because even if you got the greatest scenery or plane ... nothing worth a realistic sky to fly throug ! I would love someone to do a light sound environnement plugin, to add natural sound according to where you are : in the middle of the city, over highways, some klaxon and fast cars sound, same for trains etc, airport could get so much busier with sounds, as well as peaceful nature sound in the forest etc ... Anyway, SkyMAXX Pro is the only real add on I'm looking for !1 point

John and Mario, In reference to your discussion regarding visibility limiting, have you looked at this plugin? http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=19748 Claims to work with the NOAA weather plugin.1 point

Ah! Maybe this is the reason! You start out with "uniform", whereas I started with "real weather". I will try your way asap!1 point

Ok Cameron. Thank you for being sarcastic, that really helps me understand more about life. I will now retire to a buddhist temple and reflect upon my past mistakes... Maybe I should have written to my grandmother more often. To be honest, I am really cross right now. I believe my demand was argumented enough and that it was obvious my wanting the manual was not just to read it and then f*ck off, but to make an informed decision about whether or not i'd buy the saab340. So it's a no. Fine. I sincerely hope some people will post good videos sometime soon (not just videos with doors opening and cheesy music), maybe that will help me make the decision. However I really think that I deserved more than "nope" and sarcasm. E.1 point

You use the name "Pryoski"....correct? If so, earlier your profile said you were online, and now it's offline. But no "banned" under the avatar. Besides being banned, for a week or two,,, I think I've seen those messages also. Had something to do with my computer internet access settings. Been too long to actually remember the cure.1 point

We're definitely considering this. A break is in order since we have worked very hard on this project for so long, but I believe everyone will like what our future lineup holds.1 point

Again who knows what the future will bring.....We already have a home run on our hands.....There are a lot of things that need fixing, we are starting off with a very solid base to work with.....1 point
