Jakob Ludwig Posted February 6, 2016 Report Posted February 6, 2016 Looks good. Especially the last one, with the different layers.
mtaxp Posted February 6, 2016 Report Posted February 6, 2016 More please :-) Just a thing that I think should be improved , clouds needs to be brighter in the last shot..
Cameron Posted February 6, 2016 Author Report Posted February 6, 2016 More please :-) Just a thing that I think should be improved , clouds needs to be brighter in the last shot.. Given the angle of the sun is higher than the camera and it's evening, I believe the lighting from this angle to be quite accurate. The angle hit by the sun is and would be expected to be lighter.

Ben Russell Posted February 6, 2016 Report Posted February 6, 2016 It's possible to find an infinite number of exposure settings used when taking photos of clouds. It's worth remembering that Frank is a certified Meteorologist, not just some guy who "thinks it looks right" but someone who's studied for and passed real life exams to have this work taken seriously.

tri2322 Posted February 8, 2016 Report Posted February 8, 2016 The overcast in the first shot looks very nice. Are there any improvements to overcast in 3.1?
AeroPictor Posted February 8, 2016 Report Posted February 8, 2016 (edited) Very nice shots indeed, it looks like there will be more and more difficult to find arguments not to fly with X-Plane when other duites are calling for attention !!! Edited February 11, 2016 by kickremi

hadoken Posted February 16, 2016 Report Posted February 16, 2016 (edited) SMP 3.1 and Real Weather Connector are by far the two most anticipated add-ons for me this year. I have been waiting a long time for weather depictions in XPX such as show in the video. Hopefully seasonal textures are next on the list. Edited February 16, 2016 by hadoken 1
Jakob Ludwig Posted February 16, 2016 Report Posted February 16, 2016 No we're getting there.... looks good guys.
sundog Posted February 16, 2016 Report Posted February 16, 2016 One more for you - taken just now over Washington State's Cascade Mountains at dusk (my old stomping grounds.) Note how the clouds are blocked by the mountains just like real life, and the long cloud shadows near sunset. 1
3saul Posted February 16, 2016 Report Posted February 16, 2016 Looks fantastic. BTW is that the aircrafts lights I see illuminating the clouds as it passes through? Good job.
