I'm trying to use my CH pedals pro with the LES Saab 340A. Initially attempted using default Windows driver I presume (I could see a picture of my pedals in the config window), but: the Yaw was where the left brake should have been the left brake was the right brake the right brake was YAW Yikes, try using that! I download the CH Control App to configure the driver....still no joy. Using X-Plane default planes everything works as it should. Using the LES Saab 340A with the CH Manager the break pedals function properly, the rudder is working properly, doh! the nosewheel has a mind of its own, not only do I not control it, it moves by itself! Maybe try different USB port or disconnect unused USB devices! Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm Changing USB and disconnecting unused USB devices made no difference. I am using Thrustmaster Warthog, throttle and Stick and they function as designed. Since the pedals and rudder work fine with default planes, and the rudder is moving properly In the Saab, this must be a Saab 340A nosewheel problem. Disconnected both Thrustmaster devices, reboot, I’m controlling nosewheel activation by keyboard...no different! still moving randomly when activated and still or no movement when nose wheel disabled.

This is a mod to fix a lot of manipulators that are otherwise unusable in VR with the touch controllers in the Leading Edge Simulations Saab 340A Version 1.5 for XP11. Manipulators that have been tweaked to work in VR are: Tweak Log: Rudimentary Pilot and Copilot teleport hotspots! (WIP) GPS Knobs, inner/outer Sun Shades, slide on rail and lower/raise All Light Intensity Rheostats Autopilot Altitude Selector Dial Com 1 and 2 Function Selector and Frequency knobs, inner and outer Nav 1 and 2 Function Selector and Frequency knobs, inner and outer ADF 2 and 2 Function Selector and Frequency knobs, inner and outer Transponder Function Selector and Frequency knobs CRS 1 dial CRS 2 dial HDG dial OBS Knobs IAS Bug knobs Altimeter baro pressure knobs Overhead DC Selector knob Flight Number Digit Wheels have been tuned for functionality Parking Brake orientation corrected (was previously reversed, now a push toward the floor pushes the knob down) Steering Tiller orientation corrected (was previously reversed, now a push toward the floor pushes the knob down) DCP Select knob tweaked Decision Height Knob rotation and push in/out tweaked (was previously reversed) And many, many other dials, knobs, and switches... These changes make the aircraft fully flyable using touch controllers in VR! With the exception the yoke. Known bugs or issues: - Some manipulators are a bit fiddly/touchy/sensitive, but at least they work correctly. **most fixed in 1.1 - CRS 1 knob seems to have two grab points, and one doesn't work. If you grab the CRS 1 and it doesn't turn, aim more for the base of the knob instead of the top of the knob. You can also grab the obs knob next to the CRT screen, it works beautifully. - Switches that should "snap" back to center, such as starter switch, bleeds, trims, V/S wheel, etc...they do not snap back to center using the VR controllers. I believe there is some custom "onmouserelease" gizmo code going on there, and the VR controllers aren't seen by gizmo as a "mouse". Fortunately the VR mouse works just fine, so I map the vr mouse to a button on my yoke and turn it on when I need to adjust trims. Everything else is still usable with the VR controllers. When you reset the bleeds it will stay in the reset position, but I've found that it's fine to leave it there. Same thing with the starter switch, it will just stay in the position of the engine you just started, but doesn't make a difference. If you want to snap it back to center, just use the VR mouse for now. I also map the vvi up and vvi down to buttons on my yoke so i don't have to use the V/S wheel when climbing/ascending using V/S mode. - Some custom mouse wheel code in 2d gets broken while using the VR mod, so if you are going to fly her in 2d you may want to revert back to the old .obj files. - gust lock only works using VR mouse. Again, I believe it's dependent on some custom gizmo mouse code. Disclaimer: This is not an officially supported LES update, so don't expect support from them on it. If you need help you can always ask me or just put your old .obj files back in your folders. If you lose the old files and just want to reset everything just reinstall the aircraft. Installation Instructions: Download the SaabVR-obj-v22.zip file (this is the latest version) Back up your LES_Saab_340_cockpit.obj from your Passenger Variant folder, your LES_Saab_340a_Cargo_cockpit.obj from your Cargo Variant folder, and your LES_Saab_340a_AEW_cockpit.obj from your Airborne Variant folder. Unzip the file, you'll find 3 folders, one for each Saab variant (passenger, cargo, airborne). Inside each folder you'll find a ***variant.txt file and a ***vrconfig file. Step 1: The ***vrconfig files just go in your Saab's corresponding aircraft variant folders. Easy. Step 2. You will need a text editor for this next part, I recommend notepad++ (free). The text inside these ***variant.txt files are intended to replace the current corresponding text in the obj files. Open the ***variant.txt file and copy all the text. Open the matching .obj file from you Saab's variant folder in your text editor. Search/find (or edit/find) for the world "TRIS". Highlight that line and all remaining text in the obj (shift click at the bottom of the file to do this quickly) and paste. Save the obj. (Not save-as, don't give it another name). Enjoy! **What's New in Version 2** This is a fairly major update. Along with the obj text modifications you'll now get vr_config.txt files to put in your aircraft variant folders as well. Changed a lot of axis manipulated knobs to their correct manipulation, getting rid of the "sliding up and down the colored line" effect. Also changed the sensitivity of countless dials and switches for a much better experience. Also added teleport hotspots to the pilot and copilot seat (sort of...it's a work in progress, but it works. The blue hotspot indicator that you're probably used to is currently a hoop about where the head of the pilot would be, but it works). All the manipulators that are still bound to color-line axis's can not be fixed because they are custom-code dependent (I think), and I've not found a way to fix them. They work as is, just have to deal with the axis slide. -

Good Morning, I recently purchased your Saab 340A, and I'm experiencing some issues. By the way, currently using X-Plane 11.10b2. 1st and the main one: the engines are not starting. I tried manual start up with the interactive checklists, manual start up using youtube tutorials and the automatic start up of the aircraft; always the same result: engine rpm rises, engine Temp rises to about 40 deg and stays there forever... no fuel flow, no torque rising... so no engine start. 2nd Cannot manipulate the course 2 knob. Getting an error message. 3rd Cannot bind the condition lever with my saitk throttle cuadrant. In the aircraft documents states that a Gizmo menu should be used to do that, but that menu does not appear in my gizmo toolbar. If anyone knows how to solve these problems would be really helpfull thanks a lot

Hi guys, I am using XP 10.51r2 (64-bit) on Windows 10 with the Saab 340A v1.4.1 update. Minor issue here: when using mouse scroll wheel (or mouse click/drag) to manipulate Nav2 heading selector knob I get an errror: error: 353.976: MouseWheelEventTrigger: OnMouseWheel: [string "JGX.1.Saab.SCRL.lua.ra1"]:1241: attempt to perform arithmetic on field 'CHP_OBS2_dial_pos' (a nil value) Mouse click on Nav2: error: 92.663: Run(xp): OnMouseClick: [string "JGX.1.Saab.SCRL.lua.ra1"]:1248: attempt to perform arithmetic on field 'CHP_OBS2_dial_pos' (a nil value) This error requires a reload of the aircraft. Please let me know if you require any further information. Apologies if you are already aware of this. Many thanks in advance for your attention! Kind regards, Alex GizmoLog.txt Log.txt

I'm noticing a drop in frame rate over v1.3. Also, camera zoom using my mouse wheel no longer works with the 340 v1.4.1 (yet works just fine with all my other planes).

Hi all, I want to purchase the Take Command! Saab 340A, however first I need to know whether it works properly with X-Plane 11.00 (NOT BETA). Does it work properly with it? Are there any major bugs? And when will there be an update for it to be compatible with v11? Thanks

I am having a problem with missing sounds. The only 3 sounds that are working on the Overhead Panel are three single beeps when I turn on the Avionics. All the warning sounds are missing, too. The Console shows 103 sounds are not able to be found. I removed JARDesign Ground Handling (included with the A330), and then also removed the A330. I have tried reloading the Saab 3 times since, but the sounds are still missing. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the plane. Does anybody know what other plugins might be culprits? I'm new to X-Plane, and don't have many added items at this point. I have Enhanced Runways, Skids, Signs, and Vehicles loaded. Also some payware and freeware airports. My computer is quite up to the task, since it's about 2 months old. Also, let me know if more information is needed. John

Dear all, is there a problem with the support site? Are requests getting through? I have been trying to get a reset request processed but have not even received an acknowledgement after two weeks. I have the Saab 340a and my old installer v1.1 throws errors during installation, and although it finishes, it produces non-functional controls. I have assumed the installer was outdated and tried to download the latest version (1.3?) but the link has expired (displaying 2 more downloads still available). What would you advise as the best way to move forward with this?

I tried to fly the Saab today for the first time in a long time (version 1.3) When the plane loaded, it asked for my email and password. When I enter them, it brings up a small window at the top left of the screen saying ''your products have been activated, Enjoy'' yet the activation window immediately pops back up no matter how many times I ''successfully'' activate. The plane remains in the unactivated state, ie all doors open and no side bar. Any help would be appreciated Cheers, Nick.

I cannot open any doors manually i.e.by clicking on them, nor remove covers (Gizmo works fine). Main problem is I have to click Altitude, Coarse 1, Heading, Coarse 2 knobs which takes forever. Hold and swipe works OK for other items like setting Air Conditioning. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Forum members, I recently bought Saab340A. To get familiar with this plane I first started with the 10-step Quick start, which I received together with the download. When I f.e. follow the 10 step quick start, (or start it manuel) I don't get power on my trottle levers. I think it has something to do with the unfeather procedure. Is there anybody who can help me to get me the power on my Saab 340A trottles. Regards, Jan

Hi, I can hardly get my Saab340 to move. I have used the quick engine start, set the condition levers to max and have to set the power to max to get it to move at all. The screen shot shows 75% power but I'm not moving. Yes, Brakes are off. Same thing happens if I go through the whole checklist manually. What am I doing wrong? Cheers LJM

Here is my first custom livery for X-Plane. Calm Air International for the X-Aviation Saab 340A. I chose to paint this livery because its an airline close to home, and a fairly simple design to test my capabilities. (Painters note: I love the logo, hate the 'CalmAir' font) Presently, "All of Calmair's Saab 340s have been sold to other operators and are in the process of being replaced by ATR-42s and Dornier 328 Jets on scheduled passenger service routes." Fortunately we can still fly this simple/clean livery with our virtual Saab 340s. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calm_Air "Calm Air International LP is an airline based in Thompson, Manitoba, Canada.
