  2. I agree. MSFS is more an arcade game than a flight simulator. The Hot Start TBM is so much better!

  3. I baulked a little at the price of the TBM and put off spending the hard earned for a little while. But now I have it I have to say, it’s beautiful. It is quiet simply the most detailed and best set out GA model I’ve ever come across, including my wonderful A2A models. . The maintenance model of tte engine alone is a work of art.

  5. A simple flight with the default TBM in MSFS allows to realize how beautiful is the Hotstart TBM in x-plane, I tell you

  6. Ok, Ok, Ok! I got this! Stand back!! The truth is halfway between Lon and Attitude. I tried using the checklist Lon posted (from the real SR22 btw!) and took his advice to drop my throttle back a little from where I was setting it. It cranked 10-15 seconds and STARTED!! Then I followed Attitude's advice, replacing step 3 with on "On the 'R'" and it started up IMMEDIATELY! I tried it several more times just to make sure I didn't just get lucky and it worked EVERY time! So, the checklist as I have edited it above is the GOSPEL ACCORDING TO TORQUESIM! Forget the REAL checklist! I'm a happy camper. Don't change a thing else you draw back a nub!! Thanks fellas!! -mark

  8. Thank you Coop. That is interesting about the prime not being spring loaded on both planes, but good to know. I will give your fix a try Akatham. Thank you.

  10. The aircraft modeled are the SR22 G3 series. You sure you're looking at that? Their website would only show the CURRENT models, which I believe are now G6 and do have a larger useful load. Each generation tends to increase the useful load, but the G5 especially did after a gross weight increase and some re-design in the structure of the aircraft. A fairly good article about that and the flying differences in the G3 vs G5 is here: https://www.flyingmag.com/aircraft/pistons/generation-5-cirrus-sr22/

  12. Well, knobs can´t move up or down, they are fixed on the rotational axis and can only rotate counterclockwise and clockwise. The consensus so far is that "mouse up" increases the value and "mouse down" decreases the value represented by the knob. I know that in the case of the EHSI mode there is no real "increase or decrease", but we are going with "increase = clockwise" for commonality. I think I understand what you are trying to say - if you see the "marker" on the side of a knob in the 3 o´clock position you would expect to push it "up" towards the 12 o´clock position. And if it is in the 9 o´clock position you would also expect to push it "up" to the 12 o´clock position... Now what do you do when the marker is pointing straight up at the 12 o`clock position - and you want to move it to the 9 o´clock position? Do you "pull it down"? But what happens if it slides down "the wrong side" and now ends up at the 3 o`clock position? Do you hold your mouse sideways? This isn´t going to work in any way that makes sense - I think that Apple does it that way - but there you go (I said "makes sense" ). And no, we aren´t even going to consider changing it or making an option, either . Cheers, Jan
