Captains, It's crazy to think X-Aviation has been in business for 10 years already, but that's the reality and time really does fly! When we first launched X-Aviation it was somewhat during the "pioneering" time of payware add-ons for X-Plane. At that time, one of the only ways to combat piracy or keep overhead costs for server bandwidth down as an e-commerce shop was to restrict download attempts. So, when we launched X-Aviation we naturally had this built into the store and it has remained a part of the system from the get-go. We have always maintained a process of allowing our customers to click the 'Request Reset' button once the download expired to get your links refreshed, but this has understandably been less than ideal for our customers and even for us from a support load standpoint. We live in a content-driven world now, and bandwidth has become cheaper compared to 10 years ago. More importantly, we understand the sense of instant gratification the Internet brings, so having to request a reset for a download can be a real pain. It means you need to wait for one of our staff to manually verify the link and have it reset, sometimes taking a few days for that link to be refreshed. With the above said, we have coded up a new download system for our store. Effective immediately, all aircraft and object based scenery downloads will be unlimited and without an expiry date. This policy affects all of your purchases, new and old. We have dedicated many resources to various aspects of our products and store, but this is one area we neglected to bring up to speed until now. It's not earth-shattering news, but it should be very welcome news to you, and we sincerely hope it removes a pain point for you and your desire to have a seamless flight simulation adventure using our products. Thank you for your past patronage, and we're looking forward to serving you more in the future! Blue Skies!12 points

It's coming. The consequence of getting the DRM update wrong are considerable. :| The update will allow instant in-sim de-auth of old machines you're no longer using. More info soon.3 points

So first let me say I absolutely loved this plane (Past tense) when I bought it. Even with the little bugs it was still relatively flyable with some workarounds. The team did a good job keeping up with updates and keeping everyone informed. HOWEVER these past few months have been anything but enjoyable. While $70+ is a steep price for an add on I will agree that this plane has held up to the reputation as being one of the best that Xplane has to offer. With that being said though I feel the developers are drastically gaining an image of "Well we have your money so now we're going to relax" Now I highly doubt that is the case as I know they are probably very dedicated to it and are working hard to patch this aircraft as flyable in Xplane 11. First response was that Xplane was still in beta and understandably why put a lot of time into something that may be changed by Laminar and have to rewrite everything. But that was the excuse in the past and now Xplane has been in final for almost 2 months and we have yet to hear ANY progress the developers are having with actually getting this plane at least flyable in Xplane 11. The cosmetic appearances and little details that we have been given a first look at means nothing if the aircraft isn't flyable in X-Plane 11. Most serious simmers have already migrated to the Xplane 11 platform or at the very least are in the process of it. With scenery taking a huge chunk out of most systems it's inconceivable to have both X-Plane 10 and 11 installed. So basically the ones who paid for the IXEG at release have either 2 options. Stay with an inferior X-Plane 10 or Migrate to X-Plane 11 and throw this plane in the hanger for who knows how long until the developers decide to give us any kind of update as to when this plane will be stable in X-Plane 11. Currently mines a hit or miss 20% of the time I can get it to work with minimal problems, but the majority it's constant issues (mostly with one of the engines not responding when I apply throttle even though the Throttle moves normal in plane, Throwing it into reverse until the engine is at 30% and then slamming it back forward is the only way to get any response out of it. Secondly the aircraft tends to jump around like crazy while applying thrust at low idle until the plane gets above 60% and starts moving at 5 kts) If anyone knows why it does this and a fix please tell. Again this is not meant to be a negative post, it was a great plane in X-Plane 10 but falls flat on it's face in Xplane 11 as far as stability and is one of the worst planes in Xplane 11. I havent really had to many issues with others except the Airfoil Labs 172 which "They Fixed". But as paying customers I think we should be kept in the know. With the amount of time that has gone by since the last update and the countless things that have been told I fear that IXEG is in a position to hurt their reputation even further if the next release isn't anything other than a game changer with a cabin and working doors, and should be completely stable with most if not all major issues fixed. Anything less with the amount of time and hush hush I feel would be another negative blow to a company that did make one of the best Xplane products to date. I know many people who have decided not to purchase this plane for this simple reason which is sad due to lost revenue for future products from IXEG. So as a paying customer I hope we can expect an update from the developers soon.2 points

You know...a customer complaining no one is communicating is a rather useless statement if the customer is not making an effort to read what has already been communicated many times. There's plenty of information posted, and very recently. This topic is done.1 point

FWIW: Laminar basically dumped X-Plane 11 on us third party developers with about two weeks prior notice before they opened for public testing. Not exactly ideal.1 point

I posted in the forum during the event. ...after that I was more concerned with fresh water, food and electricity. Sorry for the frustrations you're feeling.1 point

The issue there is it was so rampant. I cannot tell you how many times I would get reset requests from other customers and your name kept popping up in the pool of sharers for activations. Literally the worst I have seen. Every time I looked at it I just shook my head. Typically "amnesty" is provided should someone make right the wrong with purchasing the software for their friends or in the amount it was shared. It's just SO much that under your situation it would take me a very long time to go through it. I'm not really all for public shaming the piracy stuff, but I really did cringe every time I saw your account pop up.1 point

Sir, the piracy affiliated (of which you're fully aware) to you and the people you share with is OFF THE CHARTS. Do not expect change for your account.1 point

Hi With this post, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to all team members that participated in the making of the IXEG 737. Since I am clueless to whom those individuals are, this post is also generic to the extent that I also want to express my gratitude to all those not mentioned in this post. To the Team and beyond! Thank you, Morten and the development team. Thank you for having the audacity to embark on such a project and whilst I do not know all the names in the group, please feel the gratitude as you would If I had mentioned you by name. Thank you to all the beta testers! I know there has been an extensive number of hours gone into developing and testing this lovely bird. And I do feel I speak for every customer when I say WE DO APPRECIATE IT ALL, every minute, every second of the time you spent making this. I would imagine that we are most likely united when I say we do love the plane and all the joy and grief it has given us. I for one would say it has been worth it, it is truly the best aeroplane ever made for X-Plane, period! I do hope you continue the development as a team, but I will understand if you don't. I for one would gladly pay for updates if this means this project will continue! Special thank you is in order! To Jan: I am gobsmacked with your time spent on extended testing and sharing of information with fellow flight simmer. We are blessed to have your expertise and dedication, both on scenery developments and IXEG member. Your dedication is a true value to the X-Plane Community. And I do hope you continue to share your knowledge of the IXEG 737 aeroplane. You can learn so much from books and papers, but to have a real life pilot giving advice on what to do and not to do, is essential and weight in gold. Sharing how you do things in real life is a value we as flight simmer's love and swallow with great satisfaction and amusement. To Ben Thank you so much, Ben!! I have a slight idea on how tough your day to day life has been recently and to have the IXEG world hanging on your shoulders with providing updates for the GIZMO on your spare time for almost no money. Whilst having a family to take care of is more or less outstanding, you have my deepest respect, truly. I would recommend everybody to donate money to Ben, so he can keep the Gizmo project alive. To Cameron Thank you so much, Cameron. I know you get all the shits we as customer extends on a day to day basis. I can only imagine how hard it must be to try and uphold a fair and respectful feedback, to all customer regardless of case, item, product, forum post and opinion. I have said much, most likely say some more, but my heart is pure and the respect is truly dedicated to guys like you and the rest of the IXEG team and XAviation. Many may not share this special thank you or even my opinion on the matter. This is how I feel and I would argue this every day of the week. XAviation regardless of customer satisfaction is a key player in the X-Plane Market and should have the gratitude this post extends. So to all not mentioned in this post! Thank you all, keep up the dedication and enjoyment of X-Plane development and gaming. We are in many eyes "nerdy" type of guys and girls, but we know what we love and that is what counts. There are many products and key players out there that do a fantastic job for this community, but this post is nearly a dig into that and a small humble effort from my side, to express a deep gratitude for a truly excellent product. I salute you all! Best regards Tom Knudsen1 point

Well said Tom. I second everything you have said. I sit back and read all the undeserved BS that some spread, and know that if I was on the receiving end I would not be as patient. As a fellow Aussie, I live not too far from where Ben lives, and I know just what he has gone through recently. Good onya mate! As a final note ... for me, I have already gotten ten times the enjoyment for the money I paid for the IXEG B737. Anything more that comes along I regard as a tremendous bonus.1 point

Hello Bob Denny... I referenced your excellent Radio Range work on page 1 of this thread... trying to cajole these guys to look at VR and historic navigation possibilities for their DC-3, agree on the GPS, not for this bird ! Although, the other day I got to peek into the cockpit of EAA's Aluminum Overcast B-17... they have a dual 430 stack ! Terry1 point

Several weeks or maybe months??? Are you aware that it is almost 1 year now that IXEG doesnt release an update (and I mean for XP10, since XP11 is still in beta)… and IXEG was not free ( it actually costs more than the simulator itself), so I guess the team should put a bit more effort in updating it. (when it came out it was not really really complete cause for example some funcions of the fmc are not working, doors are not opening, there is no interior cabin, when you fly at night it seems that the flight attendant left the lights off in the cabin… ). For that price I honestly was expecting faster improvements…1 point
