  1. Just finished my second flight EBBR to EDDF no alarms, no nothing I had 2 amazing hours of my life and among the best ever spent at the simulator. I used Vor navigation and that mini GPS which is a genius piece of code and does not offend the concept of this plane with something that doesn't belong. I used to hate props but this plane is blowing me away, it is just unreal...actually it is very realistic I kissed the runway ad EDDF so smooth the landing was, unbelievable! I feel like I'm in love with something new and never experienced before, love the flight model! I had only one tiny issue with the dh it was stuck to 0 and couldn't set it up. Oh man I can't wait to fly it again tomorrow and after that to try the first night time flight. Thanks for all your dedication making this plane and if I may suggest start working on a FMC for the B variant it doesn't matter that it's going to take 2 more years but the plane is already delivered and it's here and it's a joy to fly.

  2. I have seen at least 1 person open the Saab in Planemaker already. As tempting as it may seem for some of you, if you have purchased the Saab 340, I would ask that you DO NOT open it in Planemaker and make changes to the flight model! Doing so immediately voids any support from any of us. What you do is completely at your own risk. Jim and I spent weeks just working on the engine section in Planemaker. Any changes you make ANYWHERE in the flight model will almost certainly have a negative effect on the aircraft. A lot of the code works with the flight model parameters. If you notice a problem, post it in the support section and we will tend to it and issue updates as necessary.

  6. First off, I want to say WOW!, you guys really did it. This is an amazing aircraft. I did my first live stream with this aircraft last night and the viewers were very positive. This was also my first time opening and flying the Saab 340a. One notable comment was, "This is better than a PMGD aircraft for FSX". It was a 2 hr walk around, getting familiar and a short test flight. This plane is a dream to fly, oh and no overly exaggerated torque issues. (this is a huge plus fyi) The check list view feature is out of this world! The first time going through this I was awestruck. No fumbling around looking for anything. Big Thumbs up! Flight tutorial?!?! Who has ever heard of that with a study level plane? LES and X-Aviation has! This is something that was needed in past aircraft, and the Devs provided one for us in the Saab. It's very easy to follow and step by step from startup to shut down. The documentation is amazing and very well done. Just two suggestions: 1) A check all and un-check all button in each check list. Including the ground services tab. (check all needed) I know I'm sorta lazy. 2) I would have liked to see the engine exhaust heat distortion. Not a big deal but would make a cool addition. A few very minor things I have noticed. 1) The northwest red and grey livery does not match from the radome to the fuselage. Note: I am assuming that this is trying to simulate a repaired or replaced radome, however I think the white stripe misalignment is over done. 2) The prop freewheels in the wind, cold and dark. There has to be some kind of prop brake lever I just have not found out about? 3) Two switches are missing from the check list. Main INV switch and Standby Pitotswitch is not mentioned in the normal before start check list but is listed in steps 8 and 9 of auto start.

  9. We are continuing to tweak and refine the product as we near release. The new sun halo along with the sky themes are cloud theme are beginning to look really good. I have included a preview from the latest beta. All feedback welcome. Also, I would like to add small update regarding Scenery (formerly Terrain) Europe XP. We have been busy at work redoing the OSM with 2 options (OSM and OSM+Autogen), creating new FACADES and adding landmarks. I know this is not the thread to discuss the product here but we will post previews in another thread soon. I am aware of the acute discontent with reference to this product and we are working hard to fix it, if a little over a year later which we apologise for. We will also be offering 50% of Sky Environment XP (if we keep that name...) for all Scenery/Terrain: Europe XP customers.

  11. Laminar doesn't need to wait until XP11. This could be put in one of the XP10 updates. I have a method I would like to see implemented, which I will be presenting to Laminar soon.

  12. You can probably use UFMC with it. Your time and struggle to make that work is still less expensive than the $20k+ you'd have to pay an avionics technician to install an FMS into a real Saab 340A (which I'm sure has been done, somewhere in the world, at some point). rigging an 'aftermarket' FMS into an older plane is a completely realistic thing to do. The LES folks have given you an as-built-from-Saab 340A, identical to how Saab would have delivered it to you. What you do with it after you buy it is up to you, your mechanic, and the FAA/EAA/etc. The lack of 32-bit is really only a problem for VATSIM flyers currently. Once XSB64 drops, there will be absolutely no reason whatsoever to use 32-bit X-Plane anymore. I hear they're "close" with XSB64. I'm considering talking to them and seeing if I can lend a hand with it, since I'm a software developer/systems engineer myself, and I really really want to see it done. I hope they are not holding up the entire project because of Mac audio issues, though; they should release the windows version now, that way people can find bugs/get them fixed/*use the thing* while they work out the mac audio issues... but i don't know the whole story, there may be more going on there than I'm aware of.

  14. The real issue we have with you, Mr. Graham, is that you're trying to sneak in a community full of generous and talented people. X-Plane has the ability to create healthy communities, spark initiatives. You, on the other hand, are just not fit. We have seen enough of your generosity, or lack of thereof, and nothing here, after dozens of posts, helped to prove your actual talent. I have no doubts about your opportunism, however.

  18. Hey Samen and others that have sucessfully installed these scripts. To key you in on what I have done. I have installed blender I have installed the xplane to blender scripts correctly but when I try to install the mac versions of these scripts my command window opens gives this text with a lot of errors and nothing actually is happening installation wise. Any ideas? After trying to install I open Blender and go to import and look for the .mdl fsx model import and it is not there. I do see the xplane obj imports and the likes.
