Hi, All, I just wanted to give you a new progress update. As you know we announced release week by Tuesday earlier this week and we are now four days into a delay. This is not without good reason, though I understand frustration is likely felt by some whom are excited about the impending release. We were very, very close to hitting the "up for sale" button last week, but a number of very last minute, 11th hour issues popped up. These include: 1. An executive decision by us to re-work the manuals a bit. This is a very complex product in simulation and deserves a well put together systems manual. We have been very happy with the revisions thus far, and are moving as quickly as possible around the clock to get this done. 2. A sound issue was discovered in certain circumstances on Windows hardware. We just completed the fix for this today. 3. In a very last minute move, we made the decision to add a new menu item which will be announced soon, but it's a very handy one and pretty darn cool! We think you all will really enjoy this one when announced. We finished most of the coding on this feature through the night tonight and are currently testing it. 4. A flight tutorial is currently being created. It just seemed like the right thing to do. We have worked extremely hard since we made the initial "week" announcement and tried every best, honest effort to meet our timeline. These last minute decisions and unexpected items in-between have added to that initial timeline, but I assure you we are not far off from release. The extra time taken will ensure the product you receive is more than well rounded compared to any others. We'll be sure of that! We wanted to get some new previews out to at least satisfy the wait, but it's been really hard to squeeze time in for play this week with the work we are trying to pull off in a short period of time. In the meantime, I hope this update gives enough insight to hold you over for a bit. We really apologize for the delay. I assure you it will have been worth the wait! Thanks for your patience, understanding, and for reading!11 points

Hi guys, Yes, STILL NOT A RELEASE but at least some new screenshots - and proof that this project is alive - from Canada which received a very nice landclass update over the last weeks which will make it a worthy addition in the HD Mesh v2 regions! You can check the pictures out here: https://picasaweb.google.com/101666907909842492197/XPlane10HDMeshV2CanadaPREVIEW For the final (I don't even dare to say, but I now really really hope for this autumn) release I am still waiting for a few things to happen: X-Plane 10.30 needs to become available, as it will bring a quite large set of texture updates and a few important new terrain types which the HD Mesh relies on. Without this, it won't work. Some final code changes in the scenery generator are in the makings which - I hope - will further improve the cities (but I don't want to tell too much)And some final data tweakings (but most of this is now done - thats why I can showcase Canada)And because of the postponed release I will also do one more complete OSM data import for the entire project in about two weeks (around the first days of October), so who ever wants to do some improvements in OSM, then this might be a good time to do so ... I would also repeat (before you ask) the planned coverage: Europe (this time, entire Europe)USA (complete)AlaskaCanada (possibly not all of it, but definitely the South and West ...)2 points

File Name: Piper PA11 Marina D`Or File Submitter: Leen de Jager File Submitted: 28 Aug 2013 File Category: General Aviation X-Plane Version(s): X-Plane 10 Livery For: Click Here For Aircraft This is a livery made by Leen "Flybike" de Jager for the Piper Pa 11 Super Cub made by Alcalá Simulación for X-Plane 10 (freeware) . This livery is not exactly depicting an existing livery , the real model just inspired me. How to install: Unzip Marina DOr – EC-CXD.zip into a temp folder. Placing the "liveries" folder into the main directory installs the EC-CXD livery. This livery however will have the default wooden propellor. Placing the complete contents of this upload in the main directory of the plane will give you the plane with its black metal propeller. ( backups provided) This however will make all other liveries having the same propellor too. No need to say making, a complete copy of your "Piper PA- 11 Cub Special" -install ,naming that copy "Piper PA- 11 Cub Special Black propellor" and implementing my upload there , will give you the best of both. Enjoy Leen de Jager http://www.flybike-paints.nl Click here to download this file2 points

Hello everyone, Today the work for this awesome new scenery has been completed. It will be available in the next few days at simmarket, and in simmarket only. This is the FSX version only. The good news is that this incredible piece of work, will be available for X-Plane 10 as well. The authorisation for creating the X-Plane version has been given to me, and also the responsibility to represent Taxi2Gate in the X-Plane community. I am honoured to speak officially in behalf of the developers involved and will do my best to represent the interests of Taxi2Gate ensuring that the transition to X-Plane is successful. After some consideration, I have decided that the best way to enter the X-Plane payware development arena is with a strong product that reflects the high level of quality and functionality that Taxi2Gate has achieved through a long process of developing high quality addon sceneries for MSFS. What best to do that than with their latest and greatest, newest development? The idea is to implement X-Plane 10's technology thoroughly to make it fully compatible and to achieve the best possible results, both in quality and performance. The road ahead is long, and at this point have not determined an estimated time for release (don't even bother to ask). This will be ready when the product is completed and satisfies the meticulous scrutiny of all involved. Taking advantage of the, generally speaking, extremely friendly, generous and helpful X-Plane community, I will be consulting with seasoned developers, well known for their talents and expertise in the various aspects of X-Plane scenery system. We are also considering an alliance with a well known developer for X-Plane for a possible release as a joint venture. This will deserve an announcement of it's own. I refrained myself from posting pictures of this beautiful scenery, mainly because they only exists from the FSX screen captures, but rest assured that as soon as there is something to show from inside X-Plane, we will be the most interested in sharing those with you. But if you are curious you can see them here: https://www.facebook.com/Taxi2gate/photos_stream1 point

I wouldn't say the C172 is really a "bush" plane.. more just GA. Go for the C185, and the expansion pack if you want a good bush plane.1 point

I've heard similar descriptions when multiple instances of x-plane are running....I can't be sure though, this is a "back of my brain" weak memory response. TK1 point

For sure it will not be available in a few days. The intention is not to convert or replicate the appearance of the FSX version. Instead we want apply all the X-Plane's sweetness, this will take some time.1 point

Quite a post. I did see your comments before and when I see comments that have a somewhat negative undertone, I usually don't reply. First, it's very unlikely we're going to make more Citations any time soon. After the Saab and Citation, we have another 2 (possibly 3) add ons planned...1 of which is the 742. Modern glass cockpits and systems are extremely tedious and time consuming to make. A perfect example of this is the Saab 340. We COULD make a lite version, but we don't want to go down that road anymore. Everything we make from the Saab onwards will be "procedure level". The turboprop market is one we have been seriously considering on exploiting. In our down time, we have been looking at various turboprops and found some very interesting ones we would like to create. With 1 in particular that caught our attention. (Don't ask, coz we ain't telling!) As for developing for FSX or any other platform...that is extremely unlikely. We have our own reservations to not develop for FSX and I don't really want to go criticizing it on certain points. I'm sure it is a great platform for users and developers alike, but for us, based on what we know about it, it lacks certain features that are readily available in X-Plane. Weather radar being just one example.1 point
