Not sure I see the sense in this post? There's no rule that states you have to choose this site or the other, and most people here visit the org as well. Of course, there's a vocal group who have also been kicked from the there (naturally you won't see their posts at the org), but having multiple places to discuss our hobby is a good thing for everyone in the community. There's a distinguished line between disliking the site and disliking management. Complaints come from the management, not the existence of the site or the wonderful people in the X-Plane community, which is why we care. The org serves a great purpose, regardless of disagreements.

I suppose these types of sceneries are then not for you and therefore I don't see the point of your post! Green is green is green where it's supposed to be...green. Everyone has their own preference. We know that, and so does Laminar. A ton of people will prefer this over default, and just the same, some people will prefer default over accurately placed imagery. Can't please everyone, but we can certainly please the majority!

Is there any plan to enhance the other islands of Hawaii besides Oahu?

OK here are my latest SS's, I toned the normals down a bunch and integrated GlacierMAXX and BeachMAXX(which will be refined prior to release).... And a shot of the winter beaches.....these will be refined a bunch prior to release, maybe some ice flows or something : Cool thing with using normals is how much better the shadowing is, good example is this pic below look how the mountains seem to have more detail: I am not finished with the refining of this add-on, but I feel I am moving in the right direction, whatca think? Oh almost forgot a pic, this one shows some trees, X-Plane default but prior to release they will be custom:

Have been a member of the org since 1999, been banned on & off for years. Things settled down as I aged and discovered to keep my mind from typing what I really feel.Works wonders and I still have resources to download and get updates. Cameron and me know all about what can happen when your passions get out of control on a keyboard. Oh well. Just another day, time to move along.

For me, the way normal maps are used here looks rather unreal here ... but this is only my opinion, and just a question of taste.

In June of 2013 the USGS will be releasing jpeg2000 formatted (not geoTIFF, unfortunately) imagery for the whol island of Kauai. If no one else acts on it, I will take it and make use of it.

I'd like to echo the comments of Sopwith, I'd buy the rest of the Hawaiian Islands in a heartbeat.
