  2. Hello, That flicking back and forth is typical of your yoke/HOTAS/stick not functioning correctly. I recommend that you plug it out and back in before doing a full calibration. Brgds

  4. Probe heats are switched on just before takeoff. Switching them before this will lead to hot probes which will indicate a greater than actual OAT. Thanks
  5. Make sure to follow the normal procedures. Forgetting things in this aircraft leads to consequences just like the real steel. We have not encountered any pack errors like this with other users.

  10. Hi Ed, I'd say you're right about ASXP dumping in a sudden weather change. If the aircraft is put under enough load the autopilot will disconnect.

  17. At present, the format in which Simbrief outputs VOR radial & distance waypoints does not work with the Collins FMS. To enter the waypoint manually in the correct format do (VOR IDENTIFIER)(RADIAL)(FORWARD SLASH)(DISTANCE). Examples Shannon Radial 237 @ 40 miles: SHA237/40 Cork Radial 049 @ 27 miles: CRK049/27 Dublin Radial 345 @ 17 miles: DUB345/17 The above can be entered into the scratchpad and subsequently the flight plan just like any other waypoint.
  18. Hello, The correct way to input a VOR radial/distance into the Collins FMS is as follows: VOR RADIAL/DISTANCE. For example, to navigate to the Shannon radial 115 at 28 DME you would insert SHA115/28. To navigate to the Macrihanish radial 284 at 45 DME you would insert MAC284/45. Brgds
  19. It's a gravity crossflow so no pumps required. The manufacturer recommends flying a steady heading sideslip (i.e. one wing low while maintaining a heading). The low wing should be the wing with less fuel. As the fuel indications will be erroneous during the sideslip you must level off and wait thirty seconds before checking them. Obviously sideslips aren't advisable with pax onboard. Best to keep the tanks balanced!

  21. 1) ATS Disengage - Advance thrust levers 2) Retract flight spoiler if in use 3) Pitch up smoothly at no less than vRef speed 4) Fly V2 + 10 minimum and retract flaps to 20 5) Fly MAP or as instructed by ATC
  22. Traffic patterns aren't common on this type of aircraft so no real procedure exists. My advice is to enter your departure runway and arrival runway. Do not insert an instrument procedure, use the visual approach. This will allow you to display the extended centreline of the runway on your MFD for situational awareness. Calculate your performance on the ground and be wary of the aircraft's performance on departure.
  23. Can confirm this is fuel balance as I've had the same when testing. Make sure you don't run your APU for ages on the ground to avoid an imbalance.
