Possible Bug - unexpected CAS Caution on Takeoff Roll
ois650 replied to rosseloh's topic in Technical Support
Thanks for your report - it is possible that AUX TANK HEAVY is not included in disallowed cautions during takeoff. I will investigate. -
Hello, There are many templates online for pilot logbooks. You can also buy a physical one for reasonably cheap if you so wish. CaptCrash produced this excellent trip log which is almost identical to ones used by real operators: KR

Hello, This is a known bug which has been fixed for the upcoming 1.1 update. Kind regards

If you can do a cold start in DCS then you've nothing to worry about - clearly you have an ability to learn procedures. Have a little faith in the checklist - the included illustrations at various points can be helpful. If you can't find a switch just look for it - there's not a huge amount going on in the 650's cockpit. It is intimidating at first but after a few times starting it up you'll be laughing! (While looking for switches you'll discover a million other features). I can understand, seeing as you're coming from the TBM, that the avionics seem a little complicated. There's a good document included with the add-on called "FMS Primer" which basically shows you how to do all the "normal stuff". There's a ProLine 21 primer coming soon also. The tutorial video series will be expanded in due course. Any questions feel free to have a browse around the forum - most of them have been asked already at this stage so there's a lot of good material floating around. Hello, The cover is intentionally not there as it is not something that is covered by pilots. I am unsure about the fuel truck, from your own testing it appears the truck draws it's texture from the main objects folder. Kind regards.

Hello, This is a known issue with XE. Brgds
-
Hello, Looks like something is majorly wrong there. I can't find anything immediately obvious in your log file. At this time I would recommend a re-install of the product. KR

Hello, WAAS API errors aren't uncommon - they shouldn't lead to a crash. Unfortunately as you've loaded a state save we will not be able to diagnose the issue from the log files. Please let us know if this happens again! Thanks

Fictional repaint based on N82EM Bombardier Global XRS owned by American billionaire Jared Isaacman, painted in a distinctive "Time Flies" paint scheme. Slight artistic licence taken by swapping registration and "Tempus Fugit" locations to suit the Challenger's size a little better. -

[2353] Not all external lights actually illuminate the ground?
ois650 replied to EGT's topic in Technical Support
Hello, I do apologise for missing the "nose" part of your initial post. Please understand that we receive many requests for support every hour, the support team is made up of volunteers doing this on our own dime - for the love of the hobby and the Challenger 650 product. Sometimes we miss things I was able to reproduce the issue you are having and will file this for fixing. Kind regards -
Crossing a waypoint at speed/level (ATC restrictions)
ois650 replied to eddinator's topic in Systems and Tech
Hello, Navigate to your LEGS page and locate the waypoint which has had a constraint applied. Input the required level into the scratchpad and use the appropriate right side LSK (line select key) to transfer the information from the scratchpad. Some additional information below that you may find useful: - To enter an altitude simply input "6000" or "12000". To enter a flight level input "F310" or "FL310" - If you're given an "at or above" put "A" afterwards, eg. "6000A". - If you're given an "at or below" put "B" afterwards, eg. "F270B" - If you're given a "between" enter the lower altitude, then "A", then the upper altitude and "B" - eg. "7000A9000B" - You can also input a speed restriction at the same time, eg. "250/10000" or "220/5000" using the forward slash to separate.- 1 reply

Hello, There are runway length limitations at present - these will be removed. KR

Hello, The angles of the screenshots and photos are definitely playing tricks on you. The "flex" you are seeing in the first screenshot is heavily aided by the change of angle in the wing's leading edge as well as the low angle of the photo. You cannot directly compare the winglet position from the ground photos taken at around 0° camera angle vs 30-40° camera angle in the airborne photo. Lastly, as Cameron stated, a test was done on a real Challenger 650 which provided no flex. It's a stiff wing! Simmers love their wing flex for some reason but it's just not realistic in this case. Hello, The Challenger 650 is not compatible with time acceleration. The aircraft relies on actual measurements from various systems and sensors (including real time tracking of satellites) in order to navigate. Kind regards,

[2353] Not all external lights actually illuminate the ground?
ois650 replied to EGT's topic in Technical Support
Landing lights are functioning correctly. Please ensure you have HDR enabled in your X-Plane settings. Thanks -
Hello Dave, I would recommend the below video to get started. More are in production and will be out in due course. In the meantime - if you operate the aircraft as per the checklists you will have no issues - this is how the majority of users have "learned" the aircraft, along with the pop-up study panels. Best regards
