  1. Hello! I was wondering what are the limitations flying the 733 from the right seat in its current state. I'm such a beta I prefer to fly planes as F/O with PF duties I think I read somewhere that weather/terrain radar display works only on the left ND. Is there anything else I should be aware of? Cheers!
  2. Instruction should be in your email. "To upgrade your aircraft to version 1.0.1 please follow the below steps: Open X-Plane and the 737 Classic as your aircraft In the X-Plane menu bar at top, select Plugins > Gizmo64 > Windows > HotFix You will be asked to enter in your HotFix ID. Copy and paste in the following: 9dd62a47084093ddbee53917e43a4e0e Click 'Update' Once it has downloaded and installed, click 'Reboot' and you'll be done! Thank you for all of your support! Blue Skies, X-Aviation"
  3. I have the same issue with my card actually. For whatever reason it gets rejected. I go around it by using someone else's card. Did you just connect your card to paypal and tried to pay or you sent the money on your paypal account? The latter should work.
  4. It's in the sticked topic in this section. http://forums.x-pilot.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=16681
  5. Not trying to take sides, but think about it. It "has" been tested by few people. It's nowhere near being tested by hundreds. For example, people report CTD crashes while I didn't have a single one yet. At some point in the software's life you need to decide that releasing it will be more beneficial than trying to catch every single issue with just few people. If they didn't release it yet trying to do so, I assume we wouldn't see this plane released anytime in the near future. Now, there are tons of reports by people and the developers can start fixing them quickly and swiftly. But sure, from the customer standpoint, you obviously want flawless performance. Well, to me, it has already paid for itself during the time I used it during the weekend. For me it works almost flawlessly, probably even better now since the XPUIPC has been fixed.
  6. Do you have XPUIPC still installed by any chance? Aircraft seems to behave much better without it, not only AP-wise but also hand flying.
  7. Was watching a stream with apparently a real 733 pilots from Jet2, they said those lights can drive them crazy as it's pretty common occurance during their flights. Pretty awesome it''s moddeled into the sim
  8. It looks neat! Even though it's not really my geographical region.
  9. They are not behind. The release was never set to a specific hour. Cameron said it could be between 10-2am, but "could" doesn't mean "is definitely going to".
  10. Firstly, it was only the forum that went down, not the actual shop site. Secondly, if you stopped panicking and hitting "Refresh" every few seconds that would be fab. If enough people do it, it's not different to a DDOS attack.
  11. The system is automatic, not manual. So crush of orders won't be an issue.
  12. It's like Tom doesn't even age. Probably a monthly bath in tears of impatient customers.
  13. I am not sure if it's even possible, since I am rather a computer nooblet, but what about LOD? If clouds are rendered, then maybe it's possible to implement, let say, five transition levels of LOD that will progressively improve the quality of the cloud once you get closer. Nothing too drastic but something that would do the job. Or even just one LOD that just changes at certain distance (let say 5,000 feet). That would decrease the visible "popping" scenario. (Now, that I write this, I assume it's not such a good idea as I thought )
  14. Haha, I actually asked if you guys did something with how clouds are rebaked when transition occurs, becuase I used to get those annoying 1/2 second freezes with 3.0. Now they are completely gone... now clouds just fade away and everything feels and looks very fluid. That's the greatest change I could have hoped for from this update, and you guys more than delivered. Kudos to the entire team!
  15. Read tkyler posts in this very thread and you will have all the updates you need. Specifically, you know, posts on the first page.
  16. Hey, if I can get the FO seat, I am in : D
  17. How I wish I had those "mad" photoshop skills
  18. Well, since it's been some time since the last update (which is understandable, since there is no much to show from testing phase) can we get the zoom on the cockpit? I wonder how Jan looksin his X-Plane version
  19. Got winter pack working for me
  20. Yes, I have learned all of that the hard way
  21. It has to be my 737-200 flight. I was approaching LOWI, runway 26. Intercepted localizer and switched autoland. The plane for some reason didn't descend at a proper rate, so around 500 feet above I had to go around. But since I wanted to land quickly I performed a quick turn right. Now, if you know the terrain around LOWI, you probably know where it is going. I didn't have altitude to fly over some hills, full power didn't give me enough so my speed in turn was bleeding fast. I almost made it but once airspeed dropped below 130 knots I started to lose lift, my right wing dropped, nose dropped and I slammed into the forest on some rocky hill.
  22. I assume you don't really have to step into something to know you dislike it. Be it becuase of the overall design, idea behind it and so on. Personally, I think A320 is one of the best looking narrow body aircraft that flies today and I can get behind the general idea of a very complex computer that helps flying it. But I guess some of the aviation purists think that flying using mainly FBW computer technology is a hearsay. Which I can partially agree on
