  1. To my understanding The Sandy plugin is inactive for years now. I can not imagine how your hardware will work well while aircraft gets updated datarefs and commands for those aircrafts change as well, new aircrafts come to live. You should start considering spending a few bucks for buying an interface for your hardware that works, has support and allows you tu run your hardware across any aircraft or update. I do suggest this https://shop.pollypotsoftware.org.uk/goflight-interface-tool-xplane.html This is the one i have been using with no issue for my goflight stuff prior to migrating to VR. There most common aircraft profiles are already available on the download section, still the graphical interface is designed for you to create your own profiles for supporting your hardware to any aircraft (or update) you like they way you like. Extremely powerful tool
  2. ground power is still attached go to the ground services menu and disconnect the ground power from the aircraft
  3. hi @tony77 It seems to me you experienced a xplane electricity failure (failures are enabled by default on the sim). To disable them: -Go to the top bar menu FLIGHT -> EDIT FAILURES then -untick- the checkbox "Set Global Mean time between failures" -Clic Reset all systems to operational -Clic DONE You need to create a sub-folder named 'coroutes' within the IXEG aircraft root folder. The installer does not create this sub-folder automatically and you need it for saving, and also if you export a flight plan from a web planning tool to place it there for import. hope this helps
  4. until the cabin panel is coded/simulated you can manipulate the cabin lights by manipulating the seatbelts switch on the overhead panel
  5. When you load xplane, going to xplane joystick will modify "default" profile, but once the aircraft is loaded you may have a different profile assigned for the IXEG. Double check the profile you use for the ixeg if any has the assignments there. or you may being experiencing a corrupted xplane assignments file. You may try deleting it and assign everything from scratch. delete this file "X-Plane.prf" under xplane11 output preferences hope this helps
  6. they work just fine. if you are trying to use a key/button, map any key/button of your liking to "hold thrust reverse at max". Reverses will engage and apply while pressing and holding the key/button, will terminate and revert back to forward thrust when releasing the button. note: just as it happens on the real aircraft, reverses will not engage if any forward thrust is still applied (they have a lock mechanism). Throttle levers must be closed to idle first!
  7. Make sure your FMC nav database is running the same navdata CYCLE. All aircraft FMCs runs an internal nav database that contains all nav information (waypoints, procedures, airways, airports, etc.), this information updates worldwide monthly. Airports renumber their runways due to magnetic shift, new SID/STAR procedures are added, changed or eliminated to better accomodate actual traffic demands or due to safety, etc. So the navdatabase is a living thing. You may use included database with the aircraft or you may purchase a navigraph subscription to get latest updates. There are a number of update packages available. note: whatever navdatabase cycle you decide to use, make sure you select the same cycle version on simbrief, so it does suggest a flight plan valid for that cycle After you install the aircraft you need to create a sub-folder labeled 'coroutes' into the ixeg 737 root folder, this is the sub-folder were all routes you save via the fmc or the routes you plan to import should be placed The installer does not create this folder automatically. yes, certainly. The more knowledge/background you start getting about aviation and about such a complex aircraft the more you may 'feeling' a bit frustrated because you realize each topic you try to cover opens another 20 topics behind. This is normal beep going, you will get there
  8. 1. Suggested VREFs speeds for each flap configuration will update automatically 2. Once you already selected & copied a suggested VREF it will be inserted to the speed tape. 2.1. suggested VREF speeds (point 1) will keep updating 2.2. BUT already selected VREF speed will not update automatically, you need to re-select & copy again if you want to update note: entering an aircraft weight manually will make all VREFs for each flap configuration to be computed based on that WEIGHT and it will fix the configuration. You will have no longer suggested updates if any (point 2.1) hope this clarifies
  9. Hi @TonyVier Anytime you see on a procedure (SID or STAR) an Altitude constrain that states i.e. "FL100A and FL150B" (which means cross this waypoint -100 or Above- and -150 or Below- there is a known VNAV limitation/shortcoming that the FMC will parse it as the higher altitude or Above always. So when the procedure states for a waypoint -100A and 150B- the fmc/vnav will set 150A, which will lead to a very high VNAV profile. You should recognize this situations during flight planning and EDIT/CHANGE the waypoints on the FMC to correct those altitudes manually. i.e. In your video at 12:30 please note: -Chart for WWAVS says 15000 to 19000 ft, the FMC/VNAV set 19000 or above -Chart for EPICK says 10000 to 15000 ft, the FMC/VNAV set 15000 ft or above note: fix all this during route planning/entry to the FMC. Hope this helps, this should be cured when redone VNAV code is available.
  10. the aircraft is entering CWS P mode (pitch) as seen on the FMA. This is a good indication your yoke/joystick is sending noise on the pitch potentiometer overriding any A/P PITCH mode. please go to ixeg 737 menu preferences and move the nulllzone slider all the way to the right, this should cure the problem. Hope this helps
  11. It is basically the air conditioning system, when running you need pressurized air for the packs to run the conditioning system, but it comes with a thrust cost %, thus many airlines requires ECS OFF for takeoff when a short or contaminated runway, etc. the aircraft will perform different having ECS on vs off thus the split charts
  12. Hi @marpilot i am using XPUIPC for my motorized TQ, have no problem with the IXEG. Have you tried using latest XPUIPC version 2.0.5.16 just in case? Or do you require specifically 2.0.5.9?
  13. Be cautious about this! Pressing DEL on the LEGS page and the soft key next to the restriction will remove BOTH SPEED & ALTITUDE. Altitude clearing from ATC does not implies SPEEDING clearing as well -if any-. So this procedure works well to remove a waypoint altitude restriction having no mandatory speeding constrain as well. you need to go CLB page and delete ALT restriction from there (right side), not to mess speed -if any- (left side)
  14. as the instructions says for playing VR you have to replace the 2 files with the ones provided simvrlabs, for playing non-vr you use your 2 original files. This is the trade off as of now until the saab v2.0 arrives and most likely will be full VR ready
  15. I think 1.X run is not VR supported/tuned officially, most likely 2.0 will make it But in the mean time you may try the following link, this is the one i am using but please do not raise ticket to LES about this. At you own risk http://simvrlabs.com/aircraft-les-saab-340a/ there are other bird supported if you go home menu
  16. sim/autopilot/heading_up sim/autopilot/heading_down
  17. 2. you can use tools like http://www.skyvector.com, enter your origin and destination airport, then build up your own routes using VORs or whatever you like. is this what you are trying to do? 3. any standard -usb- yoke, joystick, pedals you like will work on imac as well. but if you want to connect some "professional" hardware that requires custom software it may not be available for osx, since pcs is what counts for pro powerfull setups.
  18. i do use the following commands sim/radios/obs1_up and sim/radios/obs1_down sim/radios/obs2_up and sim/radios/obs2_down hope this helps
  19. 1. Press DIR INTC button on the FMC. The line 6L should prompt empty boxes, select your desired DIRTO waypoint by pressing its corresponding left soft key or 2. You can also modify the LEGS inflight. Press the desired Left Soft Key waypoint (this will copy the waypoint name to the scratchpad) then press the active waypoint Left Soft key to override. This will shift up the entire flight plan excecute note: editing the legs may not be to the active waypoint if desired only. i.e. your flight plan looks like w1, w2, w3, w4, w5, w6. Your active waypoint is w1 and you want it to fly w1, w2 then w5, w6 (skipping w3 & w4) so you press w5 soft key then you press w3 soft key to override and shift up, and your flight plan will look w1, w2, w5, w6. You skipped w3 & w4 but still flying w1 & w2 first. Hope this helps.
  20. You may want to check this app, worth every penny. It will allow you to play with pax, cargo and fueling, different aircraft CG, among lot of other stuff.
