  1. It does take EXTRA time if you are up in the high latitudes. I have to doublecheck but the regular full align time is 13 min, iirc. Misleading is the fact that the time to align shown on the IRS units starts with 7 minutes...and then stays at 7 minutes for the first 6 or so minutes and only THEN starts to count down. So unless you really start the chronometer to time it, you will never see more than "7 minutes" TTA, which may lead you to believe that it is only 7 minutes total.

  2. I've spoken with CAE and FSI regarding how many operators have it, and the consistent answer is "not many". CAE is the only one that actually has this option in the CL300 or CL350 simulator, and i believe that it is installed in only one of the simulators.

  3. It's a major re-write of code to get it properly working in 12, and that work continues. We will e-mail all customers once this has been released.

  4. Yes!! Thanks so much. BTW this AC is unbelievable as many others have noted. Q8Pilot is over the top with this one. Congratulations on producing the most advanced AC ever in the consumer sim arena. And you folks are so responsive with questions and issues on this forum. Amazing. I don't know when you started work on this project, but as a software engineer myself I know this had to be either a lot of work over a long period of time with a small team, or a huge amount of work in a short time period with a large team! Either way - you did it! I look forward to future products from you folks.

  5. Hi, I'm training using a flight plan from KABQ to KASE. KABQ-KASE.mod.pdf I was investigating the landing performance of the Collins FMS, and I was surprised by the value in yellow "MLW", shown in Yellow at 13 tons. I was more expecting a structural limit of 17.2 tons about, and I was ok with my expected landing weight of 15.5 tons. It was there that I realized the importance of the APPR PERF PAGE number 4, which makes the distinction between the limiting factors, and that 13.0 was a value calculated from the runway length limit at Aspen, wet conditions. Next time, Il will plan more carefully, avoid fuel tankering, and remember that the Challenger isn't my Phenom 300, especially with anything else than DRY runways. Always learning and amazed by the product depth.

  7. 12556 kg in X-Plane includes the pilots. Operational Empty Weight or Basic Operational Weight. 12315 kg in the SimBrief profile does not include crew weight. Basic Empty Weight. Pax weights - 58kg - 81kg, with 6kg standard deviation, depending on geographic location Seasonal variation +/- 4 kgs Baggage - 15kg with 4kg deviation. Non-persistent mode gives you the aircraft with just two pilots. It is intended to bring a Study menu visualisation of the passenger distribution and other parameters to the aircraft in a future enhancement.
