  1. Working as hard as possible to finish LES DC3. Until DC3 release no news. I haven't, and never will, give up on DC9.

This repaint is based off of a private Challenger 350 (N316K) and made for the Hot Start Challenger 650. The livery was created with the assistance of a credible source and numerous close-up photographs of the real aircraft. Installation: Extract the "Blue & Gray (N316K)" folder inside the zip file to …\X-Plane 11\Aircraft\X-Aviation\CL650\liveries The tail number configuration comes with the livery, and you are free to personalize it to your liking within the airframe manager. If you like the livery, feel free to leave feedback and if you spot any errors, please do point them out! Enjoy!

  4. I hope that in the current life cycle of XP12 we will see not only 737-300, but also 400/500. Good luck guys. Your plane is still one of the best and atmospheric.

  5. NEAREST APTS MIN RWY is applied to the NEAREST APTS subpage of DIRECT-TO and the magenta airports displayed on the MFD map when in MAP SYMBOLS > NEAREST APTS is enabled. The "APTS" function just shows all airports with any runways. Note in the screenshot below that the magenta airports are the "NEAREST APTS" (to which the runway length filter is applied). The blue ones are all the other ones ("APTS"). Why the XLF<whatever> airports have a runway defined, I cannot say, but according to the scenery data, they most definitely have one. In case of XLF000D, for example, there's a 986 ft runway defined. In short, working as intended, X-Plane says there's a runway there, so we show it.

  7. FYI.....still full time on it. still on schedule...still have our same 'target date' not too far on the horizon. Again, more than a few weeks, but less than several months ( minus the weeks since last report) . TK

  8. We've learned better than to give dates; however, we have a very well defined 'todo' checklist and are working towards this every day, full time, whereas in the past that was not the case. As such, it'll be more than a few weeks, but less than several months, there is a LOT of stuff to test. We customized a whole lot of things that have to be audited, assessed and in many cases, 'removed and patched over'. We are very committed to this guy though and definitely have improvements coming not too far down the road.

  9. I foresee two 'events' with regards to the 733. Event 1 is "port to XP12 'as is'. Event 2 is 'upgrades beyond the port'. The goal of event 1 is to get it to work in XP12 the way it does in XP11 given XPlane changes. Those who have made 733 purchases since early this year will certainly get the XP12 port version for free as stated on the XA product page. Beyond that XP12 port though, we have not made any determinations about what may or may not constitute a 'paid upgrade' beyond the fact that it shouldn't be egregious or outlandish. Regarding features 'beyond the xp12 port'... we have and hear arugments all the time for/against variants, cargo versions, etc and have not made up our minds yet about what may be next. The obvious things todo are the FMS work and upgrading all the 3D/textures/animations. As far as MSFS, a lot of us developers have kept an eye out on the whole market/dev process and a port is not a trivial thing, regardless of what Fenix / inisim is doing. We're talking multiple 1000s of man hours easily, and at my age and road traveled, that's a tall order.....regardless of the money potential. I rather enjoy my little world in X-Plane and those users who also see the same value in it. Perhaps Fenix, iniSim or someone else can do a 737-300. I can't speak for any other devs in the X-Aviation ecosystem, but for our part, we'll probably stick to X-plane with the 733...best I can tell from today. -TomK

  11. That's what just brought me here from the X-Plane Forums. Suspended for accidentally posting a link to the new HotStart Challenger 650. How was I supposed to know? I just started using X-plane a few months ago. Glad to be here.

  12. Time for a short update! I'm working on the system side and have almost done with the GUI and the weight and loading. So, let me explain the overall design philosophy, which extends to the whole project. Your role in the DC-9 is the Captain in command. You will have the role and the responsibilities due to that position. That means, for example, that you will adjust the fuel you need for your flight, but not in which tank the fuel will go. This will be done automatically by a background "load manager". The same with passengers and cargo. Of course, will be your responsibility to make sure that the loading limits are not exceeded! Image 1: Pax loading. The bottom graph displays the limits (red markers) and the blue and pink markers the current ZFW index and TOW Index respectively. The limits will also move depending the current gross weight, to project the 2D chart (see image 4) into a 1D line. I believe the rest are self-explanatory...how they work! Image 2: Cargo loading. Note: Each passenger is computed to carry 1 item of 13 kg baggage, which will take some cargo space. I will also add at the bottom the same graph as in the passengers tab. Image 3: Fuel Loading. You will just adjust the total fuel. Also I will add the same graph here too. Image 4: Aircraft Loading. This is the final tab you will have to look at, before you start your flight, because beyond having the full chart available, you will use the GW marker to check in which slope line you are close, to get the stab trim setting (STAB TO ANU) for the take off!.

  13. Few renders with many parts together. Keep in mind that this a quick and dirt job, not final at all!

  14. Hey guys I know it is almost summer but I got a question about deicing in X-Plane. Has any one developed a plugin that simulates a deicing truck that actually deices? Jared
