  1. Quick report. I'm moving things back oh so slightly. At this point, I'm updating the docs and working on the sound engineering. The sound is the long straw here, FMOD is a bit new to me and quite intimidating for first timers and taking a bit more time than I hoped to get up to speed..... and I'm quite picky about sound. I am still working on it daily and safe to say that when the sound is done, we'll get it out. I won't say when, but I myself will be quite disappointed if its more than 3 weeks. -tkyler

  2. State Saving The aircraft autosaves the state, position and trajectory every 20 seconds while in flight or upon entering a runway, and on approach passing 1000 feet above airport elevation. Additionally you can manually save a state and name it. In the unlikely event of a crash you can resume your flight from where you left off by reloading the aircraft and ensuring the “Restore Position and Trajectory” checkbox is selected. State Tracking In most simulated aircraft there are no consequences for leaving a battery on or quitting the sim without a proper shut down. You may be unhappy to discover the state of your aircraft if you do this. Like the TBM, the aircraft tracks its own state and if you fail to shut down the aircraft properly your batteries will be discharging while you are away. Reloading States The aircraft state can be reloaded, optionally with the saved position and trajectory. This allows states such as "Ready to taxi" to be created at one particular airport, then at a later time load the aircraft to a spot at another airport and reload the state without using the saved position. This is a quick way to create scenarios like "Ready for takeoff". Note that when a state is reloaded, the simulation time is not automatically set, so if you are resuming in-flight it will be necessary to set the sim time correctly after loading the state. This may cause a momentary loss of GPS position.

  3. We can e.g. run to the FBO exit door to the apron and aircraft by using the dedicated click spot on said door; recently the option was added to walk to the opposite door to return to the main X-Plane menu, but no click spot was added for that one. Rationale(s): convenience, consistency Regards, Tim

  4. Version 2.2.1

This is a 3D model of the Challenger 650 for use when flying in online networks like VATSIM. This will be visible for multiplayer traffic flying type code CL60. Downloading and Installation Instructions: Download and then extract the CL60 folder into your pilot client CSL folder (X-Plane 11/Resources/plugins/xPilot/Resources/CSL/Bluebell/ for default installs) to see this model. This model includes lights (Nav, Beacon, Landing), retractable gear, and rotating engines. There are also animated Flaps, Spoilers, Speedbrakes, and Taxi Lights, but there appears to be some dataref issues (these don't appear to animate in the sim). Hopefully we can have HotStart resolve with future updates! I do hope that we see a proper CSL done by Hot Start and the goal wasn't to replace that, but in the meantime I hope the community can enjoy this work! This model uses some parts from the XCSL C750, which were shared with permission. Please do not resell this work. Thank you!

  6. After some discussion I think we're gonna put this down to a "vatsim-ism". Though it was nice of Moncton to give you a clearance, that isn't how the real world works and therefore the oceanic clearance will not work. Unfortunately there is a limit to the "vatsim-isms" that the Challenger can accommodate and we recommend that you revert to voice in the event of receiving an oceanic clearance off a non-oceanic controller. "Problem on the controller's end" probably most appropriate!

  7. Thanks mate! Am I stupid or what I'll leave the post as it is, in case anyone else in the future makes the same silly mistake

  8. The levers in the Hot Start rendition are silver, though XP lighting may mess with that a little. The general theme throughout the 604/605/650 is white levers except where leather stitched yokes are fitted. Never seen black ones before though I don't doubt that they exist.
