Update: I have no idea if this was a one time bug, but after going through everything over again, I flipped the master off and back on again and the AP started working. I know with I didn't turn it off and for this plane I have everything on the alpha\bravo disabled so that wasn't an accidental switch off. I'm sure it was some how my fault, but in case someone else runs into this despite everything looking A-OK, maybe this will help? Cheers1 point

I put in my first level as the cruise then update when ready to step, pretty much what you're doing. 190 is an unusual level to stop at, I would skip anything below 300 personally. Just Simbrief being Simbrief!1 point

You could also check FlightAware for information on routes flown by the CL60 and similar aircraft.1 point

I found something really cool! I think a solution could be to limit FPS to 60 in Nvidia control panel. I think what was happening the whole time was that the CPU was overshooting (peaks above 60 fps), then undershooting (troughs below 60 fps). Instead, by limiting FPS to 60, I've managed to reduce the magnitude of stutters from 5-15 fps to less than 2! I only just tried this so I'll report how it goes!
