  2. Hello All, This will serve as a formal forum announcement that we have released the version 1.32 update for the Take Command! IXEG 737 Classic. All customers who have purchased the IXEG 737 Classic up till now have been sent an e-mail by X-Aviation with complete instructions on how to obtain your update. We have made this a very simple process! For those that purchase the IXEG 737 Classic from today forward, your purchased download will already be updated to version 1.32 for you. It is for X-Plane 11. If you use X-Plane 10, you can still install an old version of the aircraft from the installer, but this update does not otherwise apply to you. Caution: This update is optimized for XP11.41 and newer only! If you run it any previous X-Plane version it will still work, but the aerodynamic model gets changed and will not fly "by the numbers" anymore! Install at your own risk (make a backup of the aircraft folder first, especially if you run XP10)! What if I didn't get the update e-mail? If you did not receive your update e-mail don't fret! X-Aviation has updated our system to allow all customers to update with ease, regardless of whether you received an e-mail for the update! Here's what to do: 1. Login to your X-Aviation account here: https://www.x-aviation.com/catalog/account_history.php 2. Find your original IXEG 737 Classic download and re-download the file. It will download as the latest version! The following is a list of additions/fixes included: Bug fixes: Fixed gizmo crash when entering a waypoint name that contains the letter N or S followed by a letter, W or E downstream. Fixed mousewheel scroll direction for standby attitude indicator level symbol (and increased speed). Fixed coroute loading/saving crashing if user tries to save coroute with pilot created waypoints or partially wrong names. Improvements: FMS: Complete overhaul of departure and arrival procedure selection code, with improved stability and transition selections/loading. FMS: Radial / Circle intersections on the Fix page can now be selected and copied back to the LEGS page as a waypoint. FMS: Pilot created PBD (Place-Bearing_Distance) and LL waypoint types avail. (Examples: JKF350/25, JFK345/2, N45W33, N4533.2W3321.6). FMS: Pilot created waypoints and the loaded route runway can now be copied from the LEGS page to the FIX page. Added coroute folder with sample *.fpl route. Added VR improvement for IRS display mode selector. Increased volume for navaid ident and marker beacons. Prevented cockpit controls from being manipulated through the IXEG pop-out menues. More reliable sequencing of waypoints when flying route in LNAV. Additions: Added custom particle system. As always, thanks for being a customer with X-Aviation. We appreciate your feedback and support! Enjoy these latest updates, and stay tuned to the forum as we continually announce the latest happenings.

  3. I know we are all friends here. I've got about 100 hours in the SR22 in the last year so I've got a somewhat decent feel for the aircraft. The only thing I am pointing out is that the autopilot will not hold altitude when deploying / retracting flaps. That unequivocally does not happen in the real aircraft. I was experimenting and even if you increase yoke pressure forward (while on AP) to prevent plane from ballooning for ~5-7 seconds, the plane will still balloon the second you release pressure. If you at the same time manually adjust the trim, it seems to alleviate the issue. Hence, my not so very scientific conclusion that the underlying issue may be how the AP interacts with the trim. I know the early B58 Laminar G1000's had a similar issue and it was fixable by editing a few settings in the plane maker. For some reason I can't get that application to load anymore and apologies but lost my notes on what you had to adjust on the B58 to fix this issue! The other thing I would highlight is just around the power settings. The NA plane often seems to need about ~10% more power than real life during instrument procedures / patterns. Per the Cirrus book (at least for G5/G6 NA I am not as familiar with G3), in level flight 37-40% power will get you about 120 knots and 30% power will get you around 100 knots. 40% power with 50% flaps gets you around 100 knots. May just be the G3 vs. G5/G6 airframe differences, but wasn't sure if perhaps there were other drag type settings that perhaps could be tweaked to get this as close to real life performance as possible. Look at page 3-61 as an example in the official cirrus flight operations manual - http://whycirrus.com/safety/23020-002_RA_Std_FOM.pdf Last comment - the throttle in the NA also seems a little jumpy in mid level settings. It's just not smooth when fine tuning. Both using joystrick throttle and more precise keyboard shortcuts. p.s. This is all in the spirit of making what is already awesome even better. I have been waiting for a proper Cirrus for years! Finally can have the Cirrus functionality as well as pop-up windows, switch control, etc. Great work. Always willing to help test out adjustments as well. Will soon be pairing this with the realsimgear equipment.

  4. I feel the trim speed is quite right in the SR22. The Cirrus will balloon when flaps deploy as well as the reverse when flaps retract. On my set up (your set up may vary) the ballooning is very controllable. I think if anything were to be adjusted is maybe the pitch moment. I prefer the fine trim ability as it is set now. Also in the sim, we trim to the neutral center of the controller and not trim out excessive forces. That actually tends to lead to over trimming. If in level flight and a stable power setting, you trim for level flight, even as much as leaning for cruise will require more trim to counteract the aircraft decending due to a reduced power setting, all the while trimming the aircraft for the center of your controller. This can lead to an excessive nose up trim when further power is reduced for decent and the flaps deployed will exaggerate the nose high pitch trim with ballooning. Your controller will be at neutral, while the aircraft is trimmed pitch high requiring even more pressure on your controller to overcome. Enough of my soap box. Trim in the sim can be very subjective.

  8. Fortunately all these discussions will have some base under them when people can actually compare both and see their pluses and minuses. I have been using X-Plane for 10+ years and will I buy MSFS 2020? Yes, of course, I want to see myself how good/bad it is. Before that I will not try to participate in any discussions on the subject though.

  9. Unknown as yet. I did speak to Saso about it, and we're looking at having a deeper discussion with a Daher employee and a TBM pilot about it.

  10. Always "on", please. (There is not a huge difference, but you can notice the perf numbers being slightly off if you don´t enable it). Once 11.50 is out of beta we will "force" the EFM to always on in our .acf file. Viele Grüße nach Kölle, Jan

  11. If you get the version thats out now, you get V2 at a substantial discount. If you don't get the one that's available now, you'll pay full price for V2. Either way, it'll work out to be about the same price.

  12. It's ironic that a few of you are wanting it back. I was getting quite a few DM's on Facebook, and I think a few here, also, asking for it to be lessened or removed. That it was too hard to land and take off. I'll discuss with Saso and ask him if it can be made as an option or just to bring it back as before.

  13. Yes. I need to use the word "imminent" more conservatively. We'll have more information in the very near future.

  14. Ok. Here's the official word. The big update will be a paid update for current customers, but it won't be full price. It will have more features than the current version that is available in the store. It will have more systems modelled (working circuit breakers being 1 of them, as part of a newly coded electrical system. However, this is dependant on us getting our hands on the electrical schematics) 100% new art assets. (3D mesh, PBR textures, lighting) Improved flight model (The flight model is likely the only thing that will not be done from the ground up.) If you can find out where you got this information, I would be very interested in visiting this site and finding out more about the person saying these things.

  15. I would like to add... the next update of the Saab (before v2.0) will work in Vulkan/Metal. And that update will be free to all current customers.

  16. I'd love to know where you got your information. Version 2 of the Saab will be ready either late this year or some time next year. If you already have the current version, the upgrade will be heavily discounted.

  20. Any plans to retrofit GPS and add avitab?
    1 point
  21. Definitely no for the v2.0. Let me explain why. Super DC-3 has different engines, airframe, wings, etc, and for what we are doing this is, almost, a different aircraft. Doing a just few "cosmetic" changes and declared as an extra model is not something we do. Could be added in the future? Can't tell right now.

  22. My aircrafts with a bit of Depth-Of-Field effect!

  23. Due to many, MANY complaints, this effect was removed. Seems no matter how much we informed people it was realistic, they battled it worse each and every time. You're not doing anything wrong.
