I've only recently got X-Plane 10, and the IXEG was one of the key reasons for getting X-Plane. I've not really flown flight simulators for about 10 years now, but I'm loving flying the IXEG model. I'm in the process of starting off a YouTube channel "Reflected Reality Simulations" with the intention of showing sim flying using some real-ish procedures, but with the focus on enjoying the sim rather than detail-perfect operations. My first video featuring the IXEG 737 is on YouTube now, and there's another short video called "Channel Introduction" where I try and explain the reason for another YouTube sim channel. I'd love to hear your feedback, especially any procedures you'd like to see in a similar style.2 points

I agree the main thing that makes CB look odd is when there is not a bunch of cumulus congestus clouds surrounding them, as there would be in real life. We are just doing what the METAR data tells us, though. It's strangely common to see "FEW" cumulus clouds reported along with a "CB" modifier - and if we take that literally, it does end up looking a little odd. I am considering forcing SCT when CB is seen. It's not true to the METAR data, but would look more natural. Open to thoughts on this. As for why the CB clouds extend to the ground - the idea is to capture the reduced visibility from the rain shaft underneath the cloud which does reach the ground. We've experimented with other approaches for representing virga, but have had trouble getting it to look good up close or when you're directly underneath the CB cloud. We've since cracked the code on forcing our own visibility conditions on X-Plane within localized areas though, so that is something I hope to improve upon in future updates.2 points

Absolutely. (And I've reported my share, including recently. ) It's just that sometimes I'm in the mood where I just want to get a flight done with no possible mishaps. There's been a marked improvement from the initial release, no doubt.1 point

The optimal solution would be to create a standalone scenery made only of exclusions layers (for objects, facades, trees, roads and powelines) covering the photoscenery tiles of interest. This way you can easily enable/disable the scenery (say exclusions) in the scenery_packs.ini. As for hierarchy, the scenery has to be placed after the custom airports and prior to the generated photoscenery.1 point

Not quite sure I understand. Are you saying you used the X-Plane feature to draw your own weather? RWC won't sync up with that mode, I'm afraid - it's not exposed to us in any way.1 point

If you have Windows 10 you can also use "Windows Key + G" to record. http://www.howtogeek.com/219947/how-to-record-pc-gameplay-with-windows-10%E2%80%99s-game-dvr-and-game-bar/1 point

Hi Michael, to save yourself a lot of trouble, just use the built-in video function. You can set up the parameters in X-Plane, then hit CTRL-Space to start and CTRL-Space to stop and will have a .avi video in your output folder. It won´t have any sound, but we won´t need that. Just make the quality pretty low with a low framerate, then it will be small enough to upload here - or post it on youtube with a "private" setting and share the link here. Who knows, maybe you will discover the joys of youtube publishing! Kein Stress, wann immer es am Besten passt, Jan1 point
