  2. Since the wind is really strong currently in Europe, it's time to practice some extreme crosswind take-off's and landing's Düsseldorf to Hamburg in the JarDesign 320neo Very nice forecast for Hamburg... Cruising with strong crosswinds and turbulences! Sorry Pax, no service today Approaching Hamburg with gusts up to 50!! knots!! I managed a landing that didn't kill me and my pax, but the left wing touched the runway...

  3. This is actually an important update to get for folks who like to practice IFR conditions. If you set the "overcast quality" setting in SkyMaxx Pro's configuration to medium or high, low stratus clouds and ground fog will be represented quite nicely in SkyMaxx Pro 2.1.1. It also gives a noticeable performance boost when the sun is in view. Thanks to our beta testing team for making this a solid release.

  6. A brief update on how Kahoolawe will look with the much delayed update (I'm waiting another week because I found a good resource of a imagery for the coral reefs surrounding the island). I still have to fix the coastline to match HD Mesh 3.

  7. Hello, all, This will serve as a formal forum announcement that we have released the version 2.1.1 update for SkyMaxx Pro. All customers who have purchased SkyMaxx Pro up till now have been sent an e-mail by X-Aviation with complete instructions on how to obtain your update. We have made this a very simple process! For those that purchase SkyMaxx Pro from today forward, your purchased download will already be updated to version 2.1.1 for you. What if I didn't get the update e-mail? If you did not receive your update e-mail don't fret! X-Aviation has updated our system to allow all customers to update with ease, regardless of whether you received an e-mail for the update! Here's what to do: 1. Login to your X-Aviation account here: https://www.x-aviati...talog/login.php 2. View your past order history invoice that contains SkyMaxx Pro purchase on it. 3. At the bottom of the invoice you will find a blue highlighted link to your update that says: "SkyMaxx Pro". There are some important fixes and requests implemented in this update. The following is a list of additions/fixes included: What's New / Changed: Clouds viewed through transparent surfaces (cockpit glass, rotor blades, etc) will blend properly with terrain, if the model with transparency was properly modeled. Converted FSX aircraft for example may still have issues, but they would have the same problems with default clouds. 2.1.1's clouds should work as well as default clouds in this respect. The "overcast quality" setting will now affect stratus clouds as well.Stratus clouds are now allowed to be at ground levelStratus clouds with medium or high overcast quality will use soft particles for terrain blendingPerformance is improved when the sun is in viewLightning is less frequent, and thinner, in cumulonimbus clouds. As always, thanks for being a customer with X-Aviation. We appreciate your feedback and support! Enjoy these latest updates, and stay tuned to the forum as we continually announce the latest happenings.

  10. I hate to be the one to tell you - but of all those settings, only ambient-scattering actually has any effect on SkyMaxx Pro. The rest of the settings affect features of SilverLining that SMP does not use, including default-turbidity.

TCW445T "THOMAS COOK" FOUR FOUR FIVE TANGO DEP: EDDH (Hamburg, Germany) DEST: EFTP (Tampere, Finland) LEVEL: FL370 ROUTE: LUB9B LUB P605 GESKA N851 RIKUM Y370 UXETI N850 INSOB L87 AMUPO AMUPO1C ABOUT THE FLIGHT Checking Hamburg, Tampere and Helsinki (alternate) METARs i instantly realised this isn't going to be a boring flight. First some crazy winds at Hamburg gusting up to 38 knots. Then a couple of weather avoiding actions late in the climb. Thundstorms inside the approach area to Tampere were just cherries on the cake. Life of a pilot isn't easy when a massive front covers most of the continent. Even if a virtual one Happy to be safely on the ground, i learned to avoid CBs more carefully in the future... P.S. Anyone else enjoy taxing 65 ton airliner around the airport?

  13. EHSI sample shots. These shots are taken in the sim! The EHSI will include all modes and pages. As you can see, it might be an idea to start reading the 737 AOM already..
