That's precisely what it means. 1.5.2 is the exact same as this update, except it is for 32-bit. If you want to stick with 32-bit, then stick with 1.5.2. There's no difference to the features.2 points

Well the first crash of the superjet was because the pilots didn't know what the terrain warning was. They just turned it off. And maybe this time they turned the master caution system off because they were making some tests. And they did have one engine off for test reasons at the time of the crash. And for the defenders of the 787: This is a complete different story because the plane itself had no problems. This time it was pure pilot error.1 point

I read they were making approaches for autoland certification, which included approaches on one engine. There was nothing saying the crash approach was one with an engine out, although that would certainly increase the work. They have really got to stop crashing this nice little aircraft. It should at least have been warning the pilots audibly of too low/terrain/landing gear.1 point

The timer was sent to Philip as an example. A serving suggestion, if you will. Gizmo licensing has to-the-second resolution, which leaves the possibility of trials/rentals/bonuses, all sorts of things. It's at the discretion of the content author and publisher as to how they setup their timing. A reasonably small time delay also means that we can automatically display the registration wizard in a timely manner when starting, restarting or reconfiguring your airplanes... The CRJ plugin need only query if the license is good and Gizmo handles the rest. This makes it very simple for authors to integrate and compile the DRM code in their plugin. (It did take a while to -get- here, but it's the best content protection solution we've had yet by a very wide margin, for all parties.) An initial release defaulting to more (yet, reasonable) log data is always the best bet when deploying a new system to a wide range of unknown computers. Thankfully we haven't needed the data yet, but if we had, we knew it was going to be there. Trivia: Did you know that the entire system bus for something like an Xbox 360 is encrypted? All the data, on all the wires, all the time. (well, from very shortly after boot...) 5 seconds is fairly low, it's just that you get to see it.1 point

Curious. The log shows me the same error I occassionally receive when shutting down X-Plane without changing to a different plane. Your workaround, however, seems to do the trick.1 point

Fair enough. But it is the highest resolution license check I have ever seen.1 point

Appreciate the concern about Log pollution. We'll tidy it up, but it's not something I think you need to worry about while you fly. Here's why: 60 * 60 = 3600 / 5 = 720 reports an hour. Log packet is approx 244 bytes. 244 * 720 = 175,680 bytes per hour 175,680* 24 = 4,216,320 bytes per day So your exposure is about 4 megs per day of continuous sim use.1 point

Definitely the Dash! I flew the ATR a few times and then removed it. Regarding the eye candy, I don't even think it excelled in that area tbh, even though that was their claim to fame ... its on par with many other X-Plane payware planes and in some case even below par!1 point

The log filling is an oversight. We'll fix it. Everyone has been pretty burnt out over the months with debugging, so thanks for your understanding.1 point

My wife actually came running over to me to ask "what's wrong?!" when I got the email regarding the CRJ-200 update. She thought I was going to keel over. Very excited about this. PilotEdge now supports SFO, so I'm going to try a SAN to SFO run right now and stretch the CRJ's legs a bit more than I have in the past! Thanks for getting this update done, guys. It's greatly appreciated.1 point

Why do you keep replying to very old posts? In my opinion, the Dash. The ATR's developers say it all. "Eyecandy Simmin". All eyecandy, second to no systems. Also, you know all those promised liveries? The only way to get them is through EPort, and they don't have all of them. After McPhat promised so many free paints, they closed their freeware section, and kept it that way for 6 months while they "transferred" to a new site. Unless you want the eyecandy, no updates, no good liveries, then get the ATR. If you want something worth $35, get the Dash... Edit- Even though the freeware site is up, they still don't have the ATR liveries. In fact, this should be in the rant section... In fact, if you want an amazing turboprop regional, X-Aviation has the best selection of the best planes. The J32 and the MU-2 may be a bit smaller than the Dash or the ATR, but they are MUCH better. (I have all 4). If you want something a bit bigger, try the An-24, or wait for the LES Saab.1 point

^-------What he said Just to add to that, we COULD choose to go the "lite" road, but we gave up on that and we're only interested in creating near 100% procedure level aircraft add ons.1 point
